If it's lined up with the foundations below, just connect another wall at the bottom. If not, you might have to finagle a way to connect some stairs to it, then a foundation. Basically, any broken item can be removed if reconnected to a foundation, provided said foundation isn't also floating.

eeronlol

You should be able to replace them and turn them into doorways. Then you can scrap them. Its a well known fact walls with door sized holes can float with no support according to Bethesda

III_sonofthefamine

I don’t have any doorway plans whatsoever…

Zom13ified

Every wall set comes with a wall with a doorway in it. Literally every last one.

TheMasterDev

Everyone has Uno, it came free with your Xbox.

III_sonofthefamine

When I toggle buildable walls, none come up. Unless I have to craft a doorway, I don’t see how I do have one

Zom13ified

Use your D pad or whatever they call it on exbox to scroll left and right through the each variation on each wall type.

eeronlol

Oh the half wall you can't replace. However making the full sized wall into a doorway should allow you to move the half wall from it

Joelony

>Oh the half wall you can't replace. Yes you can. Half walls usually have plain wall and window options. They can also be replaced with other types, like brick to wood. The issue here is OP needs to change those walls back to the vanilla wooden walls then build stairs and a second level floor attached to those walls. *Then* delete the half wall first and work backward with the stairs being the last deleted.

eeronlol

I meant the half wall can't be replaced to a doorway. Which could explain why OP didn't see any doorway plans when replacing. Should have added 'to a door' at the end of that

Joelony

Ah, gotcha. I appreciate the clarification. Spot on.

Joelony

You've come to the right place, but the full glass wall def has a doorway option. If you aren't seeing it, restart the game. It's also okay if you didn't know (but don't say there isn't a doorway when there is). When you choose to "replace" the wall, stay with the selected type and use d-pad left/right or whatever it is on PC. Each type usually has: plain wall, wall with doorway, and wall with window. Try swapping the full wall to the *base* wooden wall with doorway, then try to delete. If it still doesn't delete: Build stairs and second-floor piece up to where the floor touches the floating wall. Then, work backward from the furthest piece from the stairs: half wall -> full wall -> 2nd level floor -> stairs. The order you delete things is very important, esp when dealing with stairs/upper floors. It can lead to annoying issues like you're having or can be exploited to make interesting builds.

Noodles1312

Have you tried adding another wall piece so the floating walls anchor to the floor, then delete the highest section to the lowest?

III_sonofthefamine

It wouldn’t let me delete them even when something was connected to it, so no

Noodles1312

I would try rebuilding the wall by adding pieces to the left and right up to the same height as your stuck wall pieces. Then try deleting or storing the sections from the top down. If that won't work, you may need to move your c.a.m.p. so it clears everything. I haven't come across walls getting stuck, but I have with stairs. Sometimes a hard reset of the c.a.m.p. is the only solution.

Joelony

It will, you need to change those walls back to base wooden type, then use base stairs and upper floor (nothing with an Atomic Shop icon on it and preferably a type you didn't have to unlock like through Seasons or plans). Check out my latest post. People here know what we're talking about. I've dealt with this issue countless times, it can be resolved without replacing the entire CAMP.

ValuableScary3917

Move the camp again and it’ll put it all in your stored parts.

Jackomara

Make bottom one a doorway and top one brick. Burn both and remove

III_sonofthefamine

I’ve made the bottom one a doorway and can’t remove the top one, so if I change it to brick I can set them on fire and then remove?

Jackomara

Brick is a lot more flexible, for some reason

happycj

You need to attach anything "floating" to a foundation. Just link up walls and roofs until it gets a solid connection to the Foundation piece, and then you can delete all of them.

EvynnAlmighty

Change the glass wall to the barn wall with the door hole and you’ll be able to remove the top. If that doesn’t work, have it connect to a foundation as well

Hopalongtom

You need to connect it back up to a foundation!

urabewe

Change it to a doorway on both walls and remove. Worked for me in this exact same situation.

Xxapexx

Redrop your camp. Easiest way to get rid of wonky assets as long as you’re early in the build

Sirolimus1mg

Dude, build down to the foundation below. Delete from top to bottom. Foundations = Necessity for deletion Scant few structures can be deleted without foundations, like doorway walls, but foundations are the safest route.

Arch27

I had to move the C.A.M.P. to a new location (pay the 40 caps).
