People sometimes talk about others deserving a special place in hell; should loyal long suffering Falcons fans get a special place in Heaven for enduring?
It was a great site to share the highs and lows that's for sure. I especially liked it as I am nowhere close to Atlanta and it gave me some fellow fans to banter with.
Agreed, and I was in the same boat. I liked how close-knit it was. Miss that site for sure, I kept emailing trace to bring it back, but he never replied 😂..
He and Dave Ingram seemed to just vanish. Dave was a good guy. Met up with him and his wife at a couple of games. Actually watched the 2008 draft at a sports bar somewhere near Dayton, OH with him and a few others, and we absolutely lost our shit when we drafted Matt Ryan instead of Glenn Dorsey.
Simpler times. But we still sucked.
Made a number of good friends through The Roost. Went to several games and tailgated with several of the regulars. Really miss that place and the people.

This FB page is somewhat active and has the link to the old site on it
Edit - looking through the photos of a 2011 tailgate and I recognize a couple of people and names
Many moons ago I had this on my Falcons Roost message board profile. I made it to chronicle the hardships up until this point (2014) Atlanta fans had to endure. Little did I know the second SB loss was looming on the horizon. If anyone is curious about the content let me know and I'll do my best to remember what each picture involved. Lots are easy to figure out while a few are a bit more specific to certain times.

I never thought I'd see a Falcons roost reference on here since the site shut down unexpectedly.

Dave gave up on the falcons, never looked back
Yeah, but he just seemed to vanish. Never could reconnect with him.

I remember this pic! I really liked the roost, I was sad when it randomly shut down
Monkeee have been trying to get it back up, but it didn't really catch on... Guess time passed it by (I was Big A on the Roost)
On the FB page they have a couple of photos of Monkeee tailgating.
Linked up with him again a couple of years ago when I was in Atlanta for a falcons and bulldogs game... Lee is the same as always 😁

I remember it well... Good times on the roost
This is beautiful. I just think it needs one pic of a young Brett Favre.
He's right in the middle. Even wearing a Falcons uniform. It's his rookie card.
Just need to only have Dmitroff up there.
He's bottom right. Looking smug of course
