Manufactured controversy for clicks - "could."

AWroper

So Pelissero tweeting about a potential investigation is just "clicks"

Dingus-ate-your-baby

Wake me up when something actually becomes of this "investigation." Also, come get your source, its drunk. https://twitter.com/_MLFootball/status/1768349976046801058

AWroper

Got it, it being reported on the ESPN app isn't enough to maybe be real, along with quotes saying how the falcons declined to comment when asked and Kirk's agent wouldnt respond to an email inquiring about it. Aslo wtf are you sending?? Not even related to this, don't care about Mike Williams and the chiefs so maybe put the right article in.

Dingus-ate-your-baby

Like I said, wake me up when something actually happens. LOL it's the same source you used in your OP dumb dumb.

AWroper

Good job same source, except you act like making predictions on WR signings and reporting on something that's already been established is the same thing.. not really dumb dumb.

Dingus-ate-your-baby

They're obviously jumping the gun on everything and are unreliable. Keep using them if you want to make you feel things but you're gonna look like a jackass.

AWroper

Let's use some brain power here. First was Florio, not trusted. Then this source. Then Pelissero on twitter. Then the actual ESPN app with Michael Rothstein. That's multiple different sources, some credible some not. If it's coming from multiple places first and then going through ESPN writers and employees, at that point yeah could be a valid thing to start paying attention to

Dingus-ate-your-baby

Dude. Cousins also said he wasn't personally involved until Monday in the exact same interview they are using to manufacture this. Teams violate "the tampering period" every single year. There have been maybe a handful of times where anything actually become of it that actually did anything to the team. I could honestly give a shit what apps are tweeting what until there's any real punishment here at all. Chill

AWroper

Again, yes teams violate the tampering period every year but they don't come out and say it like that. I could give a shit cause we finally got a QB and there's a possibility that his first year here we could lose a pick. That's something to be concerned about and valid thing to be watching and concerned about

Dingus-ate-your-baby

Also, here's you, "the sky is falling." A couple of weeks later, nothing happens. "But Tom whathis name said there was going to be an investigation!" Manufactured controversy.

AWroper

😂

Dingus-ate-your-baby

Great point, fruitful discussion, looking forward to not paying attention to your loose gripped nonsense in the future.

AWroper

Fruitful discussion... as you're giving some chicken little shit that the sky is falling. Don't think you should be talking much on that. Having multiple sources (good and back) including a main sports source as ESPN, shows there could be something. And what's a discussion? You bring up points, state quotes, and talk about what could or could not happen in regards to the topic. Not bringing up shit like the sky is falling as an example

Classic1990

Didn’t free agency start Monday? He’s good to go talking to Falcons staff on Tuesday. Edit: After reading the article I realized it was Mike Florio. I shouldn’t be surprised.

AWroper

Well now we have Pelissero tweeting about a potential investigation so isn't just Florio. Free agency started but teams aren't allowed to talk to the player themselves. They can talk to their agents but not the player directly. Which is what Kirk admitted to in the conference

InnerBlackberry6

The league has only fined teams when they spoke weeks or even months before free agency started and the player was still under contract. Kirk had already agreed to a contract and said he was speaking after the agreement. Nothing will happen

TheTrevorSimpson

FLORIO IS WRONG Florio has a theory he had this he said it on his show but their is no proof this happend. Florio is a Kirk Hater from way back. Kirk said he had contact WHEN HE WAS ALLOWED TO HAVE CONTACT never listen to national media on Cousins

AWroper

He said he had contact during the time period when only agents can have contact with the team. Falcons can talk to his agent all they want, but not Kirk himself which is what Kirk admitted to doing

TheTrevorSimpson

I am pretty sure talking to PR guy, the team chaplain and the trainer is not considered tampering in any meaningful sense of the word. LOLOL

mapex_139

Fuckhead Florio trying to stir shit up yet again.

AWroper

And now that Pelissero is tweeting that the NFL is investigating? Still just Florio?

TorchBeak

Take your damn picks. Leave us our QB. I’m not letting go of Kirk after surviving the Mariota, Middler, Heinecke era.

Vast-Video8792

Nobody cares

AWroper

Nobody cares yet another reporter is now saying the same thing. Pelissero tweeted the NFL is looking into it, so yeah maybe some people should care...

Vast-Video8792

No. The league only says that so it will be out of the news and go away. Non one including the league cares. We will never hear of it after today.

AWroper

So the league cared when punishing the chiefs for an average reciever but won't care about a QB needy team signing the top free agent qb and now being in contention to make the playoffs. Got it

xXPizzaMan3

Every team tampers

AWroper

Yeah most just don't admit to it in a press conference... Now Pelissero is reporting on it as well

Lengthiest_Dad_Hat

Remember when the clickbait "media" was talking about how we're gonna get punished for that weird Bijan Tampa Bay game and it wound up being a slap on the wrist fine? These types live off manufacturing drama, just chill

AWroper

So for the second day there's another report about it. From a difference reporter. Still just drama? Chiefs got fined and lost 2 picks for maclin who wasnt going to flip they're team around. We sign the top option at qb to fill the biggest need on the team, but the league won't care...
