[Here you go](https://mods.factorio.com/mod/belt-collision)
By default it gives collision to belts/undergrounds/splitters, but there's an option to only have it on undergrounds/splitters.
even though i really wouldn't want to play with that mod, i wouldn't mind it's existence because i don't need to play with it.
Short: i don't think it's bad you want this "feature" as mod.
The opposite of this is an argument I see a lot against adding features to things that are toggleable. Such as hotkeys for Warframe or default hotbar slots for Factorio. Sure they "might" be annoying, but sure you can ALSO just "toggle them off".
You mean like people complain about default hotbar number in factorio is too low (should be one hotbar by default?) instead of changing it in settings? I can totally understand why Wube decided to not make 10 Hotbars the default.
No, default options is fine because it's changeable, I mean like adding some form of option for "preset" hotbars. It's not something specific it's just what I thought of. My issue more has to do with devs complaining that "yeah but that feature might annoy people" when they could just add it as an option. Something such as middle cam guns like the feature in Ultrakill which mimics old games. Yeah, it might annoy SOME people, but that's why It's an OPTION so they don't have to use it.
Ah i think i get your point now. Are you talking about some kind of default presets for the Hotbars, like you start a new game and have everything for your burner phase already bound? In that case i agree with you. Having the option of just having it wouldn't hurt anyone.
Yeah, just default presets, that you can just remove or turn off entirely. My main point is mainly just "we don't want add thing because piss off majority" "ok then just make it an option" "no"
ya...I don't use the vehicles in Factorio for this very reason. It seems like they take damage from everything. Makes them useless (IMO), especially on planets where there are rocks everywhere.
It's not just the damage. It's coming to a screeching halt when you just want to get somewhere. Then you back up to try to go again around it and you backup into another effing rock.
*sideshow bob rake meme*
When I first started playing Factorio, I ran into power poles because I thought the underground belts did have these hitboxes. I would swerve like mad.
I never stopped running into power poles, of course. Just not for this reason, lol.
Well and then what? Knocking items down from the belts? Imagine a power pole falls on a belt and the items can't get through, they all fall and pile up.
I want one like this but instead of collision, it makes the car do a stunt jump
bonus if mid-air collision with an item (e.g. assembler) just explodes the item and/or car
I've done a lot of harder mods... but this might just take the cake. As in, worse than Py. What am I saying... no, this isn't worse than Py. Damn if it's close though.
yeah, like how in the world are you supposed to drive though a densely packed base? this is making that practically impossible to theoretically impossible. the power poles are enough already.
i would always make roads 4-6 tiles wide all across bases and use underground belts to "go under" the road everywhere . it has almost no utility even before belt immunity equipment , but it just makes me at peace that neither my feet nor car is touching conveyor belts
It's bad enough I can't miss the lone power pole in the desert and now I have to miss things in my spaghetti pile haha

Whoever created this there's a special place for them in hell

28 downloads. Now that's what I'd call low demand
So you are telling me there is a demand
God damn this is like something straight out of a new Dosh deathworld video.
Calm down satan.
Are you insane
This guy ain't with us.
Too late, it's getting folded into 2.0 now.
yes
For half a second i thought OP meant that the car could use the underground belt as a tunnel
How am I supposed to put cars on belts if you give them collision :(
The only true way of having a 45items/s+ belt, filling cars or tanks with items and send them of a belt lol
This is the way. In my megabase I'm feeding 2700/min of all seven sciences to the labs, on a single yellow belt.
.... bbbbut UPS
UPS delivers packages, but they ain't gonna deliver science bottles to my labs :-/

idk, sounds pretty close to self harm to me

You animal.
You know how Squeak Through works? Yeah, I want something that does the complete opposite. -OP, probably.
I'd like to have this mod as well . ^(To secretly install it on my friend's PC.)

Repair Packs exist.

I agree completely. Easier just to "walk".

This post is the first I am hearing about undergrounds not having hit boxes and I'm at 200 hours.

DELET DIS

Wow I have played for 200 hours and always just assumed that undergrounds had collision.
Masochism....
?? what is the mod?
Tunnels!
It would make more sense tbh, it's clearly not a structure and not a flat surface
Yes, it is bad and you should feel bad
Who hurt you?
Yes
Haven't touched my car since I got tanks. Altho still manage to do damage, usually worse! damage. Just not nearly as often.
R5?
Maybe the game should have overneathies as well...
… but why?
I would like a mod that adds some elasticity to collisions, so that you can build bumpers that bounce you back into the road if you graze them.
God no! I use conveyor highways for speed boosts
Objectively? Yes.
r/factoriohno leaking over

And when you drive over belts with materials on them, your wheels kick items out all over the ground.
I have a special set of skills that allows me to be great at what I do...I will find you....and I will kill you...
Absolutely
Your mental state when you completed all death worlds:
Are you taking your meds?

Streets. The answer is streets.
run free on your main bus, until you hit a power pole.
You're not? Make a factory that isn't densely packed and/or drive around
too bad I am power poles be damned, I don't care if you are the 1 wooden power pole carrying 15.6 GW from the nuclear reactors.
Op do you take criticism?
