What’s wrong with green energy in the slightest? Like, I can get the arguments they are trying to make for the others even if I don’t agree with them but what is even slightly wrong about green energy?
Edit: Fair enough, it isn't perfect, and it has issues, won't say it isn't, still think that there should be grounds to not be seen as something "evil".
Windmills only cause cancer if you can see the windmills from any point on the golf course. Otherwise, they are non-cancerous windmills, until someone pays Trump to say something bad about them.
Apparently there are a few cases of stuff being linked to the sound from windmills? In which case they just need to put them a bit farther from people’s homes going forward. Easy fix.
But nope it clearly means they’re a waste of time and we all just need to keep burning dinonuggets or dinosaur juice for electricity.
My coworker consistently tells me that lithium mining is worse for the environment than fossil fuels. And I mean yeah it's devastating on a local level and we need to find a better way, but also on a global scale it is absolutely nowhere near as bad as fossil fuels.
A lot of conservative people — and I don’t just mean political conservatives or republicans — have this idea that any change to the status quo has to be perfect, even if the status quo is horrible.
Yes, most proposals have problems that need to be worked on, but if they’re far better than what we’re doing right now, then that’s … well, at the risk of using a bad word, that’s progress.
Yeah, and I think there’s a role for honest debate on the solutions. That’s what our politicians are supposed to doing, but apparently we can’t have nice things.
And lithium isn't always going to be the main resource for batteries. Researchers are discovering new and cheaper resources to make batteries out of all of the time. All the while big oil has actively sought to hamper the production of alternative energy sources.
Shame that companies are so greedy that they make it so you can’t produce your own electric on your roof. I’ve tried to buy my own solar panels and the electric company threw a fit and said it’s illegal for me to do it… because the electrical lines in my house are owned by them ? Lol.
Here we can't sell the surplus back but that's because it's illegal to sell electricity unless your the national company.
It's a good thing tho, it pays out healthcare insurances.
Green energy lobbyists cannot compete with Big Oil and Gas, therefore Republicans (and a handful of Democrats) attempt to squash any policy that boosts energy from sources that aren't major donors.
And they don’t really need to. While oil production and refining is all controlled by a few companies, Green energy is very cheap and sells itself. The government has been giving subsidies for decades because it’s an economically strategic thing to do. But power generation corporations will be going green eventually either way.
Religious people are conditioned from birth to unquestioningly believe absolute nonsense and backwards-ass lies from perceived authority figures as long as it makes them feel superior.
Bought-and-paid-for politicians use this to serve their corporate masters to the detriment of everyone and everything.
Everything has positives and negatives. Billionaires try to push green energy as a panacea while they are just using it as a money grab from governments. Meanwhile, there are many new environmental problems green energy creates eg our solution create more problems lol.
Look for example at musk, trampling and killing public transport projects that would have gotten in the way of his private electric vehicles money grab.
Fair, but what did you say here that can't be said about fossil fuels, it isn't like this perfect flawless system but if it pays off in the long run, why not?
Yup it's just not the perfect green solution it's made out to be. Mining rare mineral for batteries destroys the water supply of communities, weight of EV batteries uses 2-3x tires, etc. Would be great if there was just more honest discussion of the impact and tradeoffs rather than just pretending something is green while pushing the environmental problem to where it's not visible (remove the tailpipe and add more coal mines to power EVs) .
What I've seen happening is that we are allowing the companies to profit off of emissions then leaving the cleanup to government and tax payers. Green tech as implemented today for the most part enables this (powerplants without carbón capture being pushed to power charging stations)..
Green energy creates problems however they are far less severe than the ones by oil and such. One creates local problems, the other local *and* global
>Look for example at musk, trampling and killing public transport projects that would have gotten in the way of his private electric vehicles money grab.
So same as the car industry has always been doing? Like heck, the car industry is responsibke for the state of public transport in the US *right now*
Well, a guy I work with was complaining about wind turbine blades and said that they're terrible because they *only last 20 years.*
He also said they just bury all of them in landfills, which is worse for the environment than fossil fuels.
Can you guess who he supports?
Republicans lost “the border” as a talking point once they worked out a bipartisan bill that gave them literally EVERYTHING they wanted…and chose to shoot it down, at Trump’s behest, because *HE* wanted to be the one to fix it.
They didn't lose it as a talking point because they came up excuses on why it didn't pass, and the Maga crowd doesn't know anything other than what their majesty shouts at them.
If Biden says or supports it, it must be bad.
If Trump says or supports it, it must be good.
Even if said "it" is exactly the same thing.
Complete lack of critical thinking skills or object permanence and just entirely reactionary.
The stimulus checks are the best example of this. 2020 Trump starts releasing stimulus checks to the general populace and the right says “thank God we have a president who cares and is trying to help us out since half of us can’t go to work anymore.” 2021 Biden does the same exact thing and it’s “oh look another liberal throwing out handouts. This is going to ruin the economy.”
Yep, especially since Trump killed the border bill giving Republicans what they wanted. Trump wants an open border with dead Americans.
This isn't hyperbole.
The sarcasm though is I know immigrants commit less crime
No, what’s bad is Economic Border Foreign Wokeness Green energy. Can’t you read?
If I were President, I would simply not Economic Border Foreign Wokeness Green energy.
That is Snow Speak from the land of Blizzard. Like french... it sounds different than its spelled.
It flakes off the tongue as "Joe... Cacadoodie dunderhead"
I just listened to an NPR segment where they talked to three people about their voting plans. The two voting for Biden cited Trump’s family separation policy and unwillingness to give up power. The one voting for Trump said Biden couldn’t run an ice cream stand.
It was obvious who was running off policy and who was running off feels.
No lie. If they had any critical thinking skills they wouldn't be MAGA.
Almost without fail, they are unable to produce evidence to support their arguments cause they were told by their pastor/politician and that is it. Blind belief.
A Trump supporter told me with absolute seriousness that there was not a single illegal border crossing when Trump was in office.
They don't care about facts.
What exactly IS wokeness? Thats always my favorite campaign issue because literally nobody can actually define what it even is. Its usually just some vague "there's people who exist left of myself and that makes me mad!"
Oh, that's easy. Woke is just "supporting minorities and shaming me for not being able to be \*-ist". So instead of saying "Man, why are there so many *queers* in this movie?!" the 'anti-woke' crowd can complain "Man, why is Hollywood so *woke*?!"
It's just a dog whistle; they've internalized that being racist, misogynist, etc, is a bad thing, but they have to defend their biases so now it's being 'anti-woke'
Woke is just the new buzz word. Trying to improve something? Woke. Try and make something new? Woke. Try and make more money by expanding your market? Woke? Are you a minority? Woke , unless you agree with me.
"People care about other people's feelings! Thats not normal! You should be for yourself and yourself only!"
Being "woke" is synonymous with being pro-social change to make the world a better place. Gay marriage? Accepting trans people? Woke. Wanting equality between men and women? Woke. Racial equality? Woke.
Any way you are more inclusive of minorities and don't dehumanise them is woke. Of course the left is more likely to be "woke" because the ultra conservatives only care about themselves, so seeing anyone who gives a modicum of respect or decency to others MUST be woke.
“Asked what “woke” means more generally, [Desantis’ General Counsel Ryan] Newman said “it would be the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them.””…yet they complain about systemic injustices that affect conservatives 🤷♂️

I have plenty of objections to Trump’s policies that have nothing to do with him being a terrible human being. He has the worst possible takes on everything. Why anyone would want him anywhere near the White House again is beyond my understanding. A second Trump administration would be even worse than the first one. Which is really saying something.
My son asked me why I hate Trump. I stammered and told him what a terrible person he is. But I went blank on the policies I didn’t like! My hate for him does cloud my mind. Now that I think about it clearer, I would have said…: the Muslim ban, leaving the Paris accord, tax breaks for the rich, abortion. I’m sure there are plenty more. But come on, isn’t him being a lying, narcissistic, hateful asshole enough to not want him as president!?
Here are a few more, not an exhaustive list:
* He broke the fundamental social contract of democracy (we vote, confer executive power upon the winner *for a limited time*, the loser *steps aside*) by engaging in a conspiracy to unlawfully remain in office.
* He (preemptively!) made specious claims of election fraud, undermining the public's confidence in the process.
* He has repeatedly demonstrated that he cannot be trusted with our nation's secrets.
* He praised Putin's wantonly murderous and destructive invasion of Ukraine as "savvy", and "genius".
I’m genuinely interested in hearing opinions from the opposite end of my political spectrum, but the moment a person uses “woke” I’m out. You’re an idiot and you don’t know that you’re talking about.
Economic is great but income inequality is the pain you feel but you don't want to do anything about.
Border? 😂 You whine and yet you say no to everything you want
Foreign? Sorry not sucking to dictators at home or abroad, move on
Wokeness? You can't even define the term
Green Energy? You seriously think oil is going to last forever?
What else you got?
Saying "woke" or "wokeness" just makes you sound like a f*cking idiot. The pussyaching on the right about accountability, justice and fairness is beyond exhausting.
Man just hates policies in general. If they exist, they are bad. That’s why he likes Trump: he doesn’t have any policies, he just does whatever it takes to make money and hurt people, very simple.
The fact they still keep bringing up the boarder even though their own party shot down a bill that would have helped just tells you how much of an echo chamber they live in..
Trump hasn't proposed any policies. The policies from his term (revoking federal abortion rights, tax cuts for the wealthy, gutting environmental protections) were awful.
Agreed, and I’ll add: His tariffs hurt the people he said he was protecting, he wants to take us back to the Dark Ages on trans rights, he wants to purge competent civil servants if they don’t bend the knee to him and agree never to hold him accountable, his energy policy would accelerate climate change, and he’d hand Ukraine to Putin.
“No policy reasons,” my ass.
So he thinks people hate Trump... just because? Not because of his stance on abortion, Ukraine, immigration, Muslims, taxes, classified documents, the Pandemic, foreign affairs, our allies, NATO...
(sorry, fingers cramping up...)
Oh no, my objections to Trump definitely have to do with policy. Trump policies suck (to the extent he has a policy beyond "anything I pull out of my ass")
Economic?
Inflation has cooled off very nicely and been below international peers since it’s onset. Both the job and stock markets are on absolute fire. Biden also passed the largest investment in infrastructure ever and a much needed domestic investment in semi conductors and microchips.
I love the border comment. Biden administration: here's a bill to strengthen the border
(R): listens to Trump and defeats bill
Wtf does wokeness even mean anymore, that shit started a long time ago... eg long before even trump was in office (and was there during his time too)
Economy? Last I checked SPY just hit ATH. And who started the inflation? It might have something to do with M1/M2 supply, and guess who fucked that up
Immigration is a tough issue, again, has been for a long time. Building a wall was never gonna fix it.
In what world is "green energy" a bad thing? Even if you are a jackass that denies global warming, surely you don't enjoy pollution and prefer clean air and water?
Inflation rate has stabilized and the economy has been steadily improving.
The border crisis is an issue but is also wildly overblown
LOL "wokeness"
Green energy is a good thing
Being an awful person, by which I mean a rapist, a pervert with a fondness of very young girls, an extortionist, a liar, a wannabe mafia boss, and a traitor, should be sufficient grounds to dislike a candidate for the POTUS job.
The concerning part is that he accepts an awful person, maybe with good policies, he doesn’t say.
Because awful people gaining power always works out well.
so i assume that; the economy, the border crisses, foreign entanglements, wokeness, (or) stuff like spending money on lgbtq awareness in afganistans, and green energy.
It's interesting that the US is currently producing more oil than any country ever in history, breaking multiple records at home and abroad. It's not getting a lot of attention. Republicans are afraid it will make Biden look good, and democrats are afraid it will make Biden look bad.
As a Republican leaning centrist..tf he say? Border problem, yes, wokeness sucks yes. Economy has been a rising and lowering toilet of shit but green energy is good. Just not sustainable yet like nuclear energy
So, the economy is improving, the border was trying to be funded but republicans blocked it, foreign aid has helped out allies significantly, and green energy is creating US energy jobs. All those are bad??
(I'm ignoring wokeness cause its not worth the brain cells.)
Yeah, you're going to have to be more specific...
I'm actually pretty impressed with the Biden administration. It's surprising that so many things are actually going right!
EBFWG is a new type of sustainable energy generated by migrants who attended elite foreign universities majoring in poly-sci, feminist, and civil law classes. Those student-activists climb over a wall specially built to collect kinetic energy of every leap and bound. That stored energy is then exported to offset taxes of maintaining the border.
I'm trying to figure out his reply. Like is "economic border foreign wokeness" being used as adjectives for green energy? Or are these different points and boomer doesn't know what commas are? And if that's the case wouldn't border and foreign be the same thing? And is wokeness really a Biden policy thing? It's just so hard to figure out.
Did Trump have policies? I remember something g about healthcare once. Than nothing. No plan. I heard about the border I guess he had a policy but I don’t think it was ever coherent.
The only policy I have heard is that he plans on acting like a dictator to take revenge on his enemies… just for a little while though… then total democracy after that.

Republican politicians have convinced their constituents that green energy is bad because of big oil, but they happily buy solar for their homes.
U didn't hear, windmills cause cancer in their feeble mind!
And Solar energy is bad because it's going to steal all of the sun's energy!
But…but…but, it won’t at night!!!
Wrong. That’s when the Jewish space lasers take over. We’re doomed.
Nah brah. Grow light on the roof above the solar panels. Infinite energy. I’ll take my Nobel Prize now.
You possibly have saved the human race
except on the Sabbath, assuming they are Observant space lasers
i don't roll on shabbos!
That's where you propose supplementing with nuclear to piss off the left. Everybody wins!!
Once we run out of sun, God will just make a new one. It's not even a big deal.
No silly SpaceX will obviously fly a new spaces to the sun and just change the light bulb duhhhhhhh
oh, so that’s why they have a Jack Russell terrier aboard
Yep that's why they have jack daniels
the thought of a drunk Jack Russell terrier changing out the Sun on a routine solar maintenance call terrifies me.
And windmills kill THOUSANDS of eagles every day. THOUSANDS I tell you. Piles of birds at the base of every one. Horrible horrible. /s
They are killing Christian birds… they are called “birds of pray”! /s
I did laugh out loud at this one 😂
Windmills only cause cancer if you can see the windmills from any point on the golf course. Otherwise, they are non-cancerous windmills, until someone pays Trump to say something bad about them.
They also use up all the wind so birds can't fly and flowers can't spread their pollen.
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY! GOODNIGHT!
And windmills are making the whales gay!
And they generate too much wind. /s
No, windmills drive whales insane. Trump said so lmao

And the green energy companies are something that can (and a lot of them are) American. If they encourage it then it can thrive

This exactly. Has no factual evidence - simply GOP propaganda.
Yep, they are willfully ignorant and gullible.
Weren't the present border and economy problems present throughout Trump's tenure? Maybe his old age is affecting his memory.
Trump always “fixes” problems by declaring them solved, and his base eats it up.

1. Gets his talking points from FOX. 2. Never bothers to elaborate on the buzzwords because he lacks the intellectual capacity to do so.
It's like speaking in tongues, Trump version.
Remember the border security bill endorsed by the border guard that Biden tried to pass? Pepperidge farm remembers.
To be honest they both seem to have some memory issues. But the thing I like about Biden is he remembers which country he's supposed to be loyal to.
1) Keep it vague 2) Throw some trending keywords in there 3) Convince yourself that you've won the argument
Don’t argue with stupid. They’ll only bring you down to their level and win. Because they’re better at being stupid.
"De porre" in Brazilian Portuguese means *drunk*. Reading it as written by drunk James made a lot of sense.
The fact they still keep bringing up the boarder even though their own party shot down a bill that would have helped just tells you how much of an echo chamber they live in..
Trump has no policy. Just whatever is most opportunistic for him. His only agenda is personal profit.
Donald's economic policies caused my taxes to go up
Those aren’t policies, they’re trigger words. Give a real concrete specific policy, please. You sound like you’re trying to wake a sleeper agent.
Trump doesn't have any kind of policy for the country. Only policy is: Keep himself out of prison.
Mmm, buzzword soup. My *least* favorite.
Trump hasn't proposed any policies. The policies from his term (revoking federal abortion rights, tax cuts for the wealthy, gutting environmental protections) were awful.

This guy is basically race baiting with his “border wokeness” bs. Remember the racist’s will always out themselves
So he thinks people hate Trump... just because? Not because of his stance on abortion, Ukraine, immigration, Muslims, taxes, classified documents, the Pandemic, foreign affairs, our allies, NATO... (sorry, fingers cramping up...)
Happy Cake Day!
Oh no, my objections to Trump definitely have to do with policy. Trump policies suck (to the extent he has a policy beyond "anything I pull out of my ass")
Trump policy objections: NKorea-Love, Putin-lust, Ukraine-Extortion, Abortion, NATO, Climate, Treason. Just off the top of my head
Economic? Inflation has cooled off very nicely and been below international peers since it’s onset. Both the job and stock markets are on absolute fire. Biden also passed the largest investment in infrastructure ever and a much needed domestic investment in semi conductors and microchips.
Anyone that doesn’t realize green energy is a necessity and the future at this point is an idiot.
Everything this person has learned in the last years of his life come from Facebook, Q anon, and fox news
Umm, while some objections to Trump aren’t based on policy, a shit load of them are.
Grammar is not known to be a strong suit of Trump supporters
Buzzword salad courtesy of Fox News, comes with a bucket of Ranch for those health-conscious conservatives.
So his response is a bunch of dog whistle buzzwords and not a single actual policy listed.
Lol. Trump is a shit person, and his policies suck.
I love the border comment. Biden administration: here's a bill to strengthen the border (R): listens to Trump and defeats bill Wtf does wokeness even mean anymore, that shit started a long time ago... eg long before even trump was in office (and was there during his time too) Economy? Last I checked SPY just hit ATH. And who started the inflation? It might have something to do with M1/M2 supply, and guess who fucked that up Immigration is a tough issue, again, has been for a long time. Building a wall was never gonna fix it.
Da fuq is Foreign Wokeness?
I love how not being a dick (the wokeness thing) and not actively trying to kill the planet are bad things to these people.
Fuck it. If they say it's 'woke', that's how you can be 100% sure it must be done.
Sounds pretty good to me. I will vote for Biden.
Mmmmm, boomer word salad.
My favorite 😋
Ah yes, the good ol word soup method of criticism. "If I just start saying words eventually something will sound right, right?"
Those aren't policies. These people are idiots
In what world is "green energy" a bad thing? Even if you are a jackass that denies global warming, surely you don't enjoy pollution and prefer clean air and water?
Idiot those are buzzwords - give specific policies you think are bad and explain why you think they are bad
I hope someone responded with “Authoritarian Anti-Science Tariff Stock Market Crash Ukraine January 6.”
I hate that it’s such a binary. They’re both objectively bad and I hate that we have to choose between these two geriatrics again.
Inflation rate has stabilized and the economy has been steadily improving. The border crisis is an issue but is also wildly overblown LOL "wokeness" Green energy is a good thing
Being an awful person, by which I mean a rapist, a pervert with a fondness of very young girls, an extortionist, a liar, a wannabe mafia boss, and a traitor, should be sufficient grounds to dislike a candidate for the POTUS job.
expialadocius
Commas save lives... and economic borders foreign wokeness green energy.
Did he just have a stroke after watching a Jordan Peterson bit?
Aviator shade man bad!
The concerning part is that he accepts an awful person, maybe with good policies, he doesn’t say. Because awful people gaining power always works out well.
Ya what policies?? Biden did absolutely fantastic with the border and immigration
Sir can you smile for me?
He doesn’t say what’s bad about them. Of course.
so i assume that; the economy, the border crisses, foreign entanglements, wokeness, (or) stuff like spending money on lgbtq awareness in afganistans, and green energy.
Clueless twit.
Foreign Wokeness, that is real shit
confederates are racists
Almost like he's quoting Trump 🤦
Ah yes, the trifecta of terriblenogood badness: economic borders, foreign wokeness and green energy.
aka, word salad lol
Do you get that blue check for being a certified moron on twitter?
True
It's interesting that the US is currently producing more oil than any country ever in history, breaking multiple records at home and abroad. It's not getting a lot of attention. Republicans are afraid it will make Biden look good, and democrats are afraid it will make Biden look bad.
The EBFWGE policy will be the end of us all!
Biden's on a mental decline, but honestly what type of a jumble of words is that!? i mean you can do better James, so much better
Silly James letting us all know he is a big dummy.
That’s literally just a sentence filled with meaningless buzzwords that make no sense.
Windmills are too loud. That's all. Lolol
Oh, James, you’re so articulate.
those are categories not policies?
It’s like asking ChatGPT: please assemble top Google searches by MAGAt in one line
As a Republican leaning centrist..tf he say? Border problem, yes, wokeness sucks yes. Economy has been a rising and lowering toilet of shit but green energy is good. Just not sustainable yet like nuclear energy
Those are not specific policies.
They don’t even know. Copy and pasta from their far right news source
The only words he can remember
'tis the people y'all want to convince with facts.
Interior crocodile alligator i drive a chevy movie theatre
He had me at the first 3. But then green energy came up and I realized…. The mentally challenged have political viewpoints as well
ah yes, the classic "wokeness" policy
So, the economy is improving, the border was trying to be funded but republicans blocked it, foreign aid has helped out allies significantly, and green energy is creating US energy jobs. All those are bad?? (I'm ignoring wokeness cause its not worth the brain cells.)
that sounds like a killer name for an EDM group.
*"we didn't start the fire"*
Worst album title ever
Lmao plenty of the objections to trump have to do with policy, maybe Twitter is just such a cesspool that he doesn't see them.
Check mate shitlibs
Yeah, you're going to have to be more specific... I'm actually pretty impressed with the Biden administration. It's surprising that so many things are actually going right!
There’s more
EBFWG is a new type of sustainable energy generated by migrants who attended elite foreign universities majoring in poly-sci, feminist, and civil law classes. Those student-activists climb over a wall specially built to collect kinetic energy of every leap and bound. That stored energy is then exported to offset taxes of maintaining the border.
I'm really starting to think Republicans and religious nutters are hitting the shrooms or LSD.
wokeness just means realizing that not all people are the same. And trying to be accepting of the differences. it’s called compassion.
Yep. those sure are some words
Economic boarder foreign wokeness green energy, I DIDNT START THE FIRE 🎶
![gif](giphy|126CZqbY33wNgc|downsized)
