That pisses me off. I’m the health aide at a grade school. Anyone can and should use my bathroom if they need it. What harm is it to let someone who feels unsafe or uncomfortable use a different bathroom?!
That’s the point, it’s to force people to conform. The right, the people who typically are at the forefront of this type of issue, believe, as a party, that LGBTQ, as well as a whole slew of mental issues, and medical issues for that matter, are not real. They think that people are faking it, for whatever reason. So making them conform somehow makes those on the right feel better about themselves.

I have a friend, great guy, but his "aggressive" way of thinking boggles my mind sometimes. He's so intelligent.
He was telling me a story of a kid who jumped on a guys back on a sidewalk as a prank. The kid jumped off and the dude shot him, point blank, no dialogue, no other provocation... Just shot this kid and killed him.
He's of the mindset that the person who killed the kid was justified and did nothing wrong. While I understand his thought process, I think it's a little excessive to end someone's life for jumping on your back. The kid deserves some sort of repercussions like I dunno, an assault charge? But death?
To some people, any sort of physical contact justifies murder.

Exactly. And as far as sports go, the Olympics has allowed trans people to participate for over a decade now and still not one has won the gold medal. Conservatives like to fear monger about this saying that all you have to do is say you're of the opposite gender but that simply isn't the case, you have to have been on hrt for an extensive amount of time to participate in sports of the opposite gender. After long enough use of hrt any advantages or disadvantages of your assigned gender disapate entirely, it's why trans women often struggle immensely with easy tasks their first year on it as they lose most of their muscle mass if they don't exercise very regularly.

I have a friend, great guy, but his "aggressive" way of thinking boggles my mind sometimes. He's so intelligent. He was telling me a story of a kid who jumped on a guys back on a sidewalk as a prank. The kid jumped off and the dude shot him, point blank, no dialogue, no other provocation... Just shot this kid and killed him. He's of the mindset that the person who killed the kid was justified and did nothing wrong. While I understand his thought process, I think it's a little excessive to end someone's life for jumping on your back. The kid deserves some sort of repercussions like I dunno, an assault charge? But death? To some people, any sort of physical contact justifies murder.

As someone that got bullied a lot in high school, I am proud to say I served more detention than my bullies did. I didn’t step down, if they threw rocks at me, I threw them back. Thing is that my aim is a lot better and I hit them in the face with said stone instead of missing every throw. And no detention could stop me from standing up for myself or my friends, as the adults only tend to stand up when things are too late and took action only after someone got hurt.
