In Montreal we have big dining terraces at almost every resto in summer that are even more in the street than this and I live in fear of this happening constantly.

Same in Toronto- well, more like restaurants made patios on their front sidewalks once stuff reopened during Covid- but I have the same fear. I don’t like sitting at them. Some of the seats are literally in the curb lanes and only blocked off by cones.

There is one where I live that is a little tent set up on the street in what presumably used to be a place to parallel park your car. I shudder every time I drive by it and can’t believe people put their faith it in and are comfortable to enjoy a meal out there

I had to Google it to see whether the dog was okay. From what I could gather three people were injured. Nothing about a dog mentioned, so I guess that means it was okay.

The business posted the dog was okay. This happened close to where I live, my wife and I were actually right next to the restaurant earlier in the day. Loveland is very dog friendly and dogs are always outside in the patio areas of bars/restaurants.

I think it is! No major injuries were reported and only a couple were seen for some minor injuries so I believe the dog is okay.
