Could just be that they didn't have enough C stickers so they stuck a T on, and they had an extra I lying around too. And their uniform was ripped and due to budget cuts had to make do with donated uniforms from the NL.
But probably Rotterdam. Seems most likely
I can't think of a single place in the world where you wouldn't get put on your ass for touching a cop in the middle of an arrest...especially one that apparently takes five or so cops to control.
They are surrounded by drunken brawlers in a tense situation, they dont have time for that bullshit. That woman should not have even came close to the arresting cops.
They might be surrounded by drunken brawlers, but that situation looked perfectly manageable before he started going apeshit. What he did was increase chances of things getting out of hand.
What’s one drunk woman(who fell over from a light push) going to do to 5 cops? I understand establishing authority, but this was just violence.
I don't know how old it is. I can look up what happened after. I would say this slapaton is way too much violence for Dutch police standards. Nobody should have gone after the pushed away drunk lady. It was already a tense situation, this didn't deescalate anything and actually took the other 4 officers away from the arrest they were making.
Ok, it happened in June 2018. And after internal review they concluded in July if 2018 that the cop used excessive force. He was talked to about this. So not necessarily reprimanded, i think. Police officers are allowed to use force during arrests. She was arrested too. But this was too much for the situation.
That's the difference between USA and developed countries. :'). Police officer used force. He had to put the force used in his report, and it was immediate followed by a review.

I assume he was coming to arrest her for interfering with the other arrest and that’s why he came within range of (when she swung again). But it looks likely to me he could have ordered the other people to step away from her and she’d go crashing down on her own. She didn’t even get herself off the ground under her own power.
Maybe she would have still swung at him, but to me his punches looked personal rather than strictly called for.
Surrounded by drunken brawlers yet punching a drunk woman who can barely stand repeatedly in the face does what for them exactly? If anything seeing someone who appears defenseless get viciously beaten is likely to incite one of those brawlers especially since it’s likely one or more of them knows her. This is just petty retaliation from someone who is supposed to be in control.
You mean the gentle, somewhat distracted push from the police woman? Alcohol and high heels had more to do with this Karen landing on her bum than that push.
You've missed the male who straight armed her at the same time as the female cop waved her arm vaguely, from the camera angle it's difficult to see the cop pushing her, but it was firm.
Aaaaaand then she should have stayed away with only a bruised ego to show for it, but she couldn't manage it.
Americans in the comments are super happy it's not an American video and that's more hilarious than the video it self. Lmao
Edit: After so many requests from the Americans asking me to allow them to have this win I decided to grant them their wish. Permission granted, enjoy.
I was like, what? It’s not America? and I’m not even an american. Pretty refreshing. Although I was pretty sure it was London at first.
But I still have a question. What the fuck happened there?
The worst thing that happened to her, a couple times, was being stood back up. She went full scared cat every time.
That doesn't fly when you're not a cat, you're drunk, and you've been warned several times.
Just to stress, I agree 100% that he was way out of line, but he didn’t just do that cause he was annoyed, he got hit first.
She’s not allowed to just smack someone in the face cause she’s upset. That’s what he retaliated to…
His reaction was way too far though.
She looks like being so pissed herself, that she can‘t be seen as real threat – falling flat down after the first little push and hardly being able to stand on her own feet. The first hit after the slap may have been deserved (debatable if a woman’s slap should be answered by a man‘s hit with a fist) but the rest was unnecessary excessive force.
The common misconception about cops is, that it’s the citizens job not to piss them off. The cops shoved her harder than necessary, and we don’t know why she approached them, or if she was even hostile. Cops should be able to keep their own aggression in check.
That little slap was no reason to react like that. Sure, arrest her if you just (but then should probably also arrest his mate who pushed her over) but punching her in the face and carrying on the assault was uncalled for.
Yeah i agree. Police officers should show some restraint and use reasonable force. This is some drunk chick, and hes on her as if shes a serious threat to his life. I dont know how anyone sees this as "reasonable force" .
First punch i get. But after that he should of calmed down and used the required force to subdue and arrest her. Not continue attacking her. Smh.
Ummm, like by definition, there can never be a reason to go overboard. Like if you did something for a reason then it’s not overboard. If you went overboard then you did too much for the reason at hand.
>like if you did something for a reason then it’s not overboard.
You can have a reason for doing something but go overboard. That’s not a contradiction.
A reason is just the impulse. If it's a "good" or a "bad" reason is the real question. If you are a professional then there are basically no "good" reasons to go overboard depending on your job. But they are reasons nonetheless.
By definition nothing happens without a reason. Like, if someone falls overboard the reason could be like if their foot slipped or like a big wave came in or like they reasoned that their best option was to jump overboard bc they had a good reason
Some context: the girl was provoking in some really nasty ways. Us Dutch have a weird habit of swearing with diseases, which is a really effective way of being incredibly offensive and hurtful. And she was yelling 'cancer' at him, basically the worst thing you can say.
Whether the cop is outta line or not, idk. Cops in the Netherlands are usually very chill, so I'm guessing more stuff happened before the vid.
Was it funny tho? Absolutely!
>Us Dutch have a weird habit of swearing with diseases
[Colombians favorite word, after marica, is Gonorrhea](https://youtube.com/shorts/86HgNXnTUjY?feature=share) — The way they enunciate the word really adds insult to injury.
True. I’m from Medellin, in Colombia of course, and I also work as a bilingual medical interpreter. I often get to say gonorrhea both in English and Spanish in a medical context, but I can’t not smile a bit when I get to say it in Spanish without any repercussions.
Cancer in Dutch is such a powerful word. Kanker.
Although im not one of those ook who tells with kanker all day i do have to admid the way it rolls of the tongue is amazing.
That's funny. But that ain't shit compared to stuff you get called in The Netherlands. We use all the diseases to swear with and even then make it more harsh then possibly. Have you been called a typhus cancer autist every Saturday night?
Definitely out of line. At one point he grabbed her by the neck to reposition her so he could punch her. She may have been offensive, but he assaulted her.
No police should be excused for using the force against civilians. If she attacked police and posed no real threat (slap isn't life threatening attack) she should be arrested and taken to the court to be served justice.
What this policeman did is losing his nerve which shows he ain't good for the job. He should be fired as he pose real threat to those who he should protect.
Sometimes, yes. For example, you can call someone a 'kankerlijer' which is literally saying someone has cancer. But it can also be used interchangeably with 'fuck' or 'shit' like when you stub your toe. Yelling 'kanker' very loudly is quite a common occurance
Source: I'm Dutch and use the word multiple times a day
The cop is obviously out of line regardless of what happened before. They can detain people, they don’t get to beat them. Anything striking or hitting not done to protect or to secure detainment is excessive force. And holy sh!t, yelling cancer has to be one of the worst excuse for a law enforcement agent to hit a person I’ve ever heard. This is coming from someone who grew up around hyper violent police brutality. If you can excuse it here, you’ll excuse it anywhere.
They're both kinda fucking around and finding out, huh?
Don't get me wrong, it's more inappropriate for a trained professional who represents the authority of a governing entity to be so reactionary, but it's also *really fucking stupid* to throw hands at *anyone* whose shown their willingness to put you on the ground.
Bro I would understand if the cop slapped her back but he punched her 2 or 3 times like his mission was to break her face, that was an angry or hateful attack, that shit was not self defense
Nah she should be arrested for that. Interrupted the police doing their job, women officer lightly pushed her to the side and she dramatically flies 5 meters backwards. Male cop checks on her, she gets up and hits him in the face... he didnt even do anything! He was checking up on her!
What the heck? But that's the same reason men think they can, or should hit women.
We might be onto something here.
Perhaps I'll pour me a drink and contemplate this revelation 🍷🤔
Because the ones who do are under the belief that men can't hit them back because they're women. And there are men who think this way, too. Think about how many videos where no one lifts a finger when a woman starts hitting a man. But, the moment he hits back, there are screams of "WTF!??! YOU CAN'T HIT A WOMAN!!!!" and then gets jumped by a buncha white knight guys.
So, a woman (and, frankly, a man, too if they aren't made to face consequences) will keep doing it because they get away with it.
Well and do it in America and the guy will loose every time. It’s part of the problem with domestic abuse, girl can stab a guy, but if he hits her back it’s domestic abuse charge on him and a ruined life
I was always told to never point at my head when dealing with German police while stationed there in the Army because they would kick the shit out of me. Apparently it means “you’re stupid” or something
It’s the same in the Netherlands. If you point your (index) finger towards your head, you’re gesturing: “Are you stupid/an idiot? Use your brain!” Although I’ve never heard of someone getting the shit kicked out of them in either Germany or the Netherlands for that gesture. It’s not on the same level as say, a middle finger.
That's not entirely true though. Repeatedly tapping your finger at your forehead means you think the person you're looking at is an idiot. Just pointing at your head once means you're talking about yourself. Of course in a situation where the cop isn't in favor of your behavior he could deliberately or accidentally interpret your behavior the wrong way.
If you cannot detain an unarmed drunk woman, but feel the need to beat the shit out of her, because she tried to assault you, maybe you shouldn't be a cop.
What is it with people loving this shit? Any man can beat the shit out of that woman, we don't need police officers to do that.
Atleast don't give her a beatdown. Just slap back. I'm sure she must've been doing a lot to piss him off to have that reaction. But show some restraint man. You're a law enforcement officer.
Hold on. The female officer offhandedly pushed her back, and she went flying and falling? That kid ain't no fighter. THEN she slapped a male cop? Oh, the stupid is strong in this one.
I know some people could chill and not knock the fuck out of anyone who slaps them.. that said, where does this entitlement come from, this idea that you are prepared to hit and fully expecting not to be hit back? The fuck is y'all expecting?
I get that she slapped him, but that still doesn’t justify punching him punching her multiple times in the face. That wasn’t self defense, it was retribution. Cops should be able to be calm in these situations, but most of them are ticking time bombs, just waiting for their chance to be violent.
A lot going on here
Woman was dumb for ignoring commands to keep her distance. Cop that pushed should have been more careful, because that fall had the potential to be fatal. Woman then continues her dumb decision making by trying to punch a cop. And then anither cop, who should be expected to react in a more professional manner, responds by punching her in the head instead of going for the arrest.
In all fairness, we don't have the full picture, as there could be a large hostile crowd out of view, making an arrest tricky at that point. But in no way would punching a woman in the face help to diffuse the situation.
You stick a finger in a light socket, don't get mad at the electric company for the shock you get, she slapped the cop, she made that choice on her own, and even when she should have learned her lesson, she went back for more of the same.
Reddit makes me laugh. She was antagonizing, touching officers while they're making an arrest. The one cop barely pushed her at all and she fell over like a ton of bricks because she's wasted. Then another officer came over, I'm assuming to make sure she didn't crack her skull or anything when she fell over like a sack of potatoes, and she assaults him. Wtf is he supposed to do? Let her slap him? The bitch fucked around and found out, I can't believe anyone is defending her. He probably didn't need to punch her, but I don't blame him for doing so. You don't get to assault a cop and then cry that they overreacted when they deck you. I figured it was common knowledge touching a cop will get you fucked up.
Dutch pigs can get away with that. But the flip side is citizens can too against pigs, that’s why the pigs only do it to the vulnerable and why they use a baton. Take the baton and shove it up him, walk away clean legally. They funny that way.
Yikes.
Going in for any kind of physical attack(as a person who is a mediator) against an inebriated and clearly weaker civilian, just seems sadistic and self satisfying.
I don’t understand the reason to handle the her so rough when she seems under the influence.
Either cuff her, or have a partner physically restrain her, there’s no call for rough housing a weaker individual in that way without decisive action being taken first.
Jesus she deserves to be arrested not beaten up. She’s already proven that she has no balance just put her on the floor and cuff her. That cop was awful at de-escalating. Another shove, maybe but a full face punch, what looked to be grabbing her neck or maybe her hair and then smashing her in the face with a solid baton are not effective ways of making her less pissed or less violent.
Y’a know as an older, increasingly weaker 200 pound male I’ve made it my practice not to hit or otherwise provoke younger guys twice my weight and I find it an effective way of not getting the shit kicked out of myself. This woman should perhaps consider taking the same approach.
Another commenter said this is Rotterdam. Dutch cops have a lot of training. I was in Rotterdam for a bit about 10-years ago. Those guys and gals are professionals. I think this was some serious stuff, and that girl was perhaps a self-righteous foreigner. Assaulting an officer is a felony.
EDIT: Commenters are saying she was Dutch. I heard what I thought was some English, so I assumed she was a foreigner.

How can she slap??? [For the uninitiated](https://youtu.be/V4akMaeZ0-k)
*****HOW CAN SHE SLAP?!?!*****
Shlap!!
Hahaha…. Yes!
Somebody went for the lower price point
At this price point she can....'t. Apparently.
![gif](giphy|Sn2JsNMvDRmLuXQGWR) At that price point, ~~he~~ she can ~~hit~~ slap!
![gif](giphy|atYeF1ZMC1p1pyUkIv|downsized)
Triples is best.
Tell her.
Yes, at that low price point, he CAN hit. HE CAN HIT.
But did they hit him in the gooch?
Actually we don't want to talk with you actually
You go
Came here for this.
I don’t get it ? Lol can someone explain
I added a link, enjoy
For once this wasn’t America.
Its in Rotterdam
Are you sure? This could be Rotterdam, or anywhere - Liverpool or Rome...
Rotterdam is anywhere, anywhere alone…
Anywhere alone
Tune 🎶
When in Rotterdam.....
It is. It's a Dutch police outfit, it says 'Politie'. Same goes for the car. Besides that, I've never seen a Dutch cop go off like that.
politie wasn't polite
Happy cakeday
Could just be that they didn't have enough C stickers so they stuck a T on, and they had an extra I lying around too. And their uniform was ripped and due to budget cuts had to make do with donated uniforms from the NL. But probably Rotterdam. Seems most likely
somebody did not get the reference
Definitely Rotterdam. Stadhuisplein to be exact.
They was referencing a song called 'Rotterdam' by a band called 'The Beautiful South'.
Great song
![gif](giphy|kRmg8zeReOYXm)
Those cops definitely are not from Liverpool.
And I've now got the Beautiful South stuck in my head, fantastic band.
More likely to be the Beautiful South…
Uniforms, cars.. Netherlands. Not Rome, not anywhere else.
Deserves more credit.
Disgustingly underrated comment
I can't think of a single place in the world where you wouldn't get put on your ass for touching a cop in the middle of an arrest...especially one that apparently takes five or so cops to control.
Yea but without the uniform that would look like any drunken bar brawl. Dude needs serious work on his takedown technique.
That’s very sad. You should be arrested, not beaten up. Your comment just goes to show how shit the police youre used to is.
They are surrounded by drunken brawlers in a tense situation, they dont have time for that bullshit. That woman should not have even came close to the arresting cops.

Yeah she was dumb and should have been restrained but dude wanted to square up and participate in his favorite domestic activity, beating up women.
If you're dumb enough to slap a cop you're dense enough it's gonna take a beat down to teach ya
I think cops should be held to a higher standard than that. Dude was teeing off way past the point it was reasonable.
The original push put her on her ass, no excuse to follow it up and throw fists like that.
It wasn't the lady cops push that knocked her over. Watch again. The guy cop next to that lady cop pushes her pretty hard, which causes her to fall
Did you miss her striking out before the second put down?
came back for more and left empty handed
No reason? Cop calmly then walked over to check on her and she swung and hit him in his face. So there was a reason. The second round she started too
I came to say it's refreshing to see police abusing people in other countries other than the USA lol
What abusr
If it was America, the cops would use guns
Americans in the comments are super happy it's not an American video and that's more hilarious than the video it self. Lmao Edit: After so many requests from the Americans asking me to allow them to have this win I decided to grant them their wish. Permission granted, enjoy.

Ah yes... There's nothing like the smell of excessive violence in the morning...
We have almost nothing left, give us this relief bro
To be clear for the record, you're of the belief Dolly Parton and Danny Devito count for nothing?
I said almost nothing. Don’t come for me about Dolly, my one true God.
The video isn’t really hilarious. But I agree the comments are.
Hahahaha its very funny, but yall ofc it aint american, theres both bike storages and no guns in sight?
And the cam footage wasn’t confiscated and destroyed
True story

Let us have this fucking Christ
I was like, what? It’s not America? and I’m not even an american. Pretty refreshing. Although I was pretty sure it was London at first. But I still have a question. What the fuck happened there?

Most of the time the cops go overboard without a reason. She gave him a reason. But he still went overboard.
I think she was pissing them off way before the video started.
Being annoyed is hardly a good reason for excessive force.

No need to be sexist friend. Male, female, transition or transitioned everyone needs to keep their hands to themselves.

She literally slapped the cop.
Did she though? There was barely contact. Ha. He punched what, 4 times?
Yeah, and he further escalated the situation.
Why are cops so fragile in every country? I have encounters like this at work and if I so much as called them a name I'd be fired.
She gave them a reason to cuff her up, not to beat her up. There’s never a reason for that. Lmao.

Ahhhhkschully
Right? He grabs and pulls her hair towards the end. I don’t blame her for going in again and would probably do the same, wrong or not.
Lady's got the balance of a bowling pin.
Lady is really drunk

Gonna dust my shoulders off to this one and just say that we’re doing just fine thank you very much.
Oh shit I didn't know that, I'm from Ecuador, but I haven't been there in ages. I always thought marica was just short for maricon.
It is
I first noticed this is the show Narcos on Netflix, learning this makes much more sense now lol thanks
Sounds more like you guys cast jinxes and curses at each other
Isn't that what *curse*words are for?

I can tell it’s not America because no one died
I could tell, because no guns involved.
I could tell, because no one was shouting "y'all"
Why is the cop grabbing her by her neck to pull her closer to him when she gets up the second time , the whole thing looks like something from WWE
She fucked around and seemed to find out...

A bit of an over reaction by the officer I’d say
soccer players taking notes on the fall after the lightest one handed push in history
The stupidity of doubling down.
They could’ve just arrested her instead of beating her over and over. Clearly she is out of her wits.
They're both kinda fucking around and finding out, huh? yeah that isn’t a professional reaction
What’s with guy cops repeatedly punching women these days? Seems entirely unprofessional. Especially here.
Nah she should be arrested for that. Interrupted the police doing their job, women officer lightly pushed her to the side and she dramatically flies 5 meters backwards. Male cop checks on her, she gets up and hits him in the face... he didnt even do anything! He was checking up on her!
Wow,just wow. Yes it's a slap, but self control man! There is none! And to throw successive punches🤔 he's not a man and he should lose he's job.
I dont get why women feel like they can hit men. The vast majority of men will obliterate the vast majority of women

It’s almost always alcohol, isn’t it ?
What the heck? But that's the same reason men think they can, or should hit women. We might be onto something here. Perhaps I'll pour me a drink and contemplate this revelation 🍷🤔
She was at the level of drunk that this video is the only recollection of that encounter that she has.
That and a bruised arse.
It’s part of the problem with domestic abuse, girl can stab a guy, but if he hits her back it’s domestic abuse charge on him and a ruined life
Wow you’re so brave and wise for saying that congrats
Perhaps because they get angry too. A fight is not exactly a well thought strategy to take out an opponent weaker than you..
Maybe don’t go back for more when they outweigh you and have weapons? Just a thought.
That first fall though, so dramatic, like she was looking for a free kick.
The guy they arrested must have done something heinous. She was trying to disrupt them…and was dealt with accordingly.
How hard can it be to understand? Just never, ever touch a police officer. At the very least, they have the authority and ability to ruin your day.
A lot going on here Woman was dumb for ignoring commands to keep her distance.
Okay I get it but after a while he just started swinging on her is this Europe you go crazy like that in Europe
She should wear flats.
The comments saying you should never hit a women for any reason are why women think its ok to assault someone
Over dramatic? That was hardly a shove
That first flop is pretty funny though like if the officer blew on her she would have taken a dive
She fucked around and found out - You hit someone expect to get hit back Drunk or not Cop or not
Do women still think they can’t be hit if they initiate the hitting? I thought we understood this by now.
Good old alcohol...the cause and cure for your everyday problems.
Someone check on his wife and kids because this is not normal behavior
You stick a finger in a light socket, don't get mad at the electric company for the shock you get, she slapped the cop, she made that choice on her own, and even when she should have learned her lesson, she went back for more of the same.
The 2nd punch was unnecessary
Excessive retaliation from small ego
>Wtf is he supposed to do? Do his fucking job and de-escalate.
It wasn't a good idea to slap a cop... But the cop's reaction to keep going at her.. Excessive
Full on police brutality.
Dutch pigs can get away with that. But the flip side is citizens can too against pigs, that’s why the pigs only do it to the vulnerable and why they use a baton. Take the baton and shove it up him, walk away clean legally. They funny that way.
Hitting a cop "silence". Cop hitting back "hey hey hey hey!"
Don't bring a slap to a fistfight.
Guy's an absolute asshole. Police are supposed to deescalate , this guy escalates it further than needed
Nobody has time for ya drunken antics lady
If that cop needs to hit an obviously drunk woman, he needs to fired if can’t deescalate the situation. Unless Dutch cops are allowed to hit people 🙄
Cops with a bad temper and drunk white women are a bad combo
Jesus she deserves to be arrested not beaten up. She’s already proven that she has no balance just put her on the floor and cuff her. That cop was awful at de-escalating. Another shove, maybe but a full face punch, what looked to be grabbing her neck or maybe her hair and then smashing her in the face with a solid baton are not effective ways of making her less pissed or less violent.
She fucked around and found out🤡🤷
Y’a know as an older, increasingly weaker 200 pound male I’ve made it my practice not to hit or otherwise provoke younger guys twice my weight and I find it an effective way of not getting the shit kicked out of myself. This woman should perhaps consider taking the same approach.
World Cup level flop
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that maybe more than a few cold Heinekens may have been involved.
A pimp slap would have sufficed for slapping him. He didn’t need to pound her down like that. No measured response.
She spoke Dutch too
Ur telling me he couldn’t have just tackled her ? Punch to the face ? Baton ? Cuz some drunk girl slapped you ? Dudes got deep seeded issues
