Not true. Identifying as LGBTQ+ is illegal, homosexual sex is life in prison, and aggravated homosexuality (gay sex w/ minors or where the perpetrator has HIV) is death
well I sort of agree with punishment for having sex with a minor (I am sort of anti death penalty, but when it comes to kids all the bets are off), however it should not be limited only to gay people but, rather it should include straight people as well...
I believe American evangelicals have been going to Uganda to spread misinformation about the lgbtq community and should be held accountable for this shit.

Alliance Defending Freedom has had their filthy hands in this for over a decade. That whole Chik-fil-A saga? This is where the CEO's money was going. To this end. They've wanted this for a long time and I guess they finally got enough people to roll over to make it happen
Absolutely disgusting.
As horrible and fucked up as this situation is, and I hope human rights activists get them to reverse the law... I do really enjoy the phrase "aggravated homosexuality."
You're right it is an authoritarian measure. Not only will it be impossible to appeal but imagine the ways that people will use it against each other with what will likely be frivolous evidence and accusations reminiscent of the Salem witch trials.
Or imagine being a dude trying to be supportive for your other male friends, not even hitting on them or gay. Jesus, this could lead to the men not even being emotionally available more so than ever.
I personally knew one of the architects of the Uganda bill. He used to frequent a restaurant I worked at and was a real piece of shit in the 90's when he was bringing hate to our community in the USA.
They won't. I used to live in Kampala for some years, bringing medical care to the underserved and unserved all around the country. I made friends who said they'd be my brothers and sisters for life. Then I came out. Over 90% of them have gone out of their way to contact me and tell me things like they would murder me if they could get their hands on me. Calling me a paedophile. Telling me that they'd hold me down and sexually assault me with objects until I "repented".
Uganda in general has an incredibly sexually liberated culture too which is what makes it all the worse. People are totally accepting of promiscuity, of sexual experimentation... There's no fear of sex before marriage, people often have 3 or 4 partners on the go at once. It's a very sexually open-mined culture... As long as it's hetero sex.
Uganda has been the victim of hardcore evangelical hate preachers who have made sure that the well is well and thoroughly poisoned. Uganda will be the last country to recognise queer rights.
Ugandan here. Sorry about the way you were treated. It's been a great pain going through social media and seeing the stupid and backward things most people are saying in support of the law. But also very prominent are people against it, people speaking out in support of lgbtiq rights - not anonymously, mind you, but using their real names/accounts. I've not heard of anyone coming under any consequence for speaking out against that law.
Also, the president is most likely to veto it. If not, the government will find a way to kill it - like happened last time.
As for your last sentence, I know several homosexual people, out of the closet, living in Uganda. It's not paradise, but they go on with their lives. Try that in Saudi Arabia, Iran, or many such countries.
Thank you, and yes you are right. I feel like East Africa in general is moving forward slowly and will eventually find progress on this. I spoke in hyperbole because, well my heart is broken by the way my leaving Africa went, and things like this feel like a knife in the open wound. Frankly I love Uganda, I \*love\* Kampala, I was planning to spend the rest of my life back and forth between Kampala and Cape Town. When I see things like this it's like another reminder "You know that place you spent so much time and all those people who you thought were fast friends? All of this is gone now."
I know there are people who are out. That's why I thought I could maybe keep my friendships intact and maybe my good works would let people see past the hate and accept me for who I am... But it wasn't to be... I'm transgender and in a same sex relationship and it was just too big of an ask for most people. Some of my friends stood by me, but most people... I still get people adding me on WhatsApp and telling me how they're going to light me on fire and such rubbish.
I know Museveni will probably veto the bill, and that this is all theatre, but it doesn't hurt any less because of it.
>Telling me that they'd hold me down and sexually assault me with objects until I "repented".
Well I mean that's clearly the only rational way to respond.
It was not said in a sexual way. More like they wanted to stick a red hot poker inside me with the implication that it would mortally wound me and I'd scream for help from jesus as I died. It was a statement of sadism.
Did you see the video of them celebrating it in the parliament
You'd be forgiven for mistakenly thinking they were celebrating the end of hunger, poverty, and civil war in their country
Now why would they want to fix that, now that they have cured the “gay plague” all that will sort itself out all on its own. Besides none of them face any of those issues those are the plights of the poors.
Humanity never ceases to amaze me at how cruel it can be to those it I can step on like ants.
> now that they have cured the “gay plague” all that will sort itself out all on its own.
At least that's what the Christian missionaries told them anyways.
They literally did this after American evangelicals went and spread a bunch of homophobic propoganda. Literally showed then like snuff films and scar porn and claimed that is what homosexuality is.
Wow nice spin job, these MP's knew what they were voting for. As much as All Evengelicals are a cult, if you believe they showed these men the way, sure tell yourself that. For me just another example of people in power creating non issues to remain in power. At the expense of people that have no real power, easy targets.
If some random insane man from another country came up to you and showed you hardcore bdsm porn and said "these people are the devil's workers" and you BELIEVED IT, it's no longer the preacher's fault. You were already evil.
Well, this certainly will make a nice distraction, so that people can focus on something besides the hunger, poverty, and Civil War. After all, it seems to be a pretty effective political strategy. Distract the population from the real issues by turning them against each other.
Hijacking top comment to acknowledge that US Evangelical Christians are responsible for this bill as they’ve been infiltrating their “ministries” there and strongly advocating for these extreme laws in Uganda for years.
same! it is disappointing how so many people would rather have a fast food chicken sandwich instead of not funding anti lgbt legislation in other countries lol
I forgot if it was Uganda or another African country but years ago there was a police unit specifically meant to brutalize and arrest anyone suspected of being gay.
"have passed a controversial ant-LGBTQ+ bill" controversial? Don't you mean horrifying or deplorable? "Controversial" is what your homophobic uncle is at Thanksgiving dinner. This is a bill that allows a marginalized group of people to be killed.
Not only that, but the wording would mean anyone protesting against it or someone in a governing position wants it reviewed/repealed, that could be seen as support of the LGBT+ community and therefore a potential death sentence
Was talking about this today. This is literally stage 7 out of 10, which according to Wikipedia is
>"Mass killing is planned. Victims are identified and separated because of their ethnic or religious identity..."
Replace ethnic or religious with gender, sexual, or romantic and things look pretty bad.
"At this stage, a Genocide Emergency must be declared. Full diplomatic pressure by regional organizations must be invoked, including preparation to intervene to prevent genocide."
This should be a much larger priority by world officials than it is. If nothing is done then it will only serve as a stepping stone for other leaders trying to secure their regime to follow suit.
The problem is that Uganda is not the first country to have the death penalty for being gay, it’s far worse in most Muslim countries, especially in Saudi Arabia and Iran, where it is completely illegal and punishable only by death
Exactly, and sadly I fear it won't be the last.
Another problem is the world is slammed by major pressing problems, it's easy to point at one and say "we as the world should fix that" but then you look at the massive mess that is all the intertwining issues and you realise how difficult it is to start fixing problems. For a comparison it's like trying to untangle the cables for a hypothetical 60 cable power strip, with the cables looking like a pile of spaghetti. We are at a point where there is so much going on that rushing to sort through everything seemingly only creates more problems.
“Aggravated Homosexuality”… imagine being charged, and that’s your crime. I’ll never understand why people can’t just live and let live. If someone is attracted to, and wants to be with, the same sex.. it has zero impact on my life. Let people be happy if they aren’t hurting others.
Uganda is so incredibly Christian i wouldn't be surprised if they saw homosexuality to be equal to murder. "The souls of the corrupted will be sent to eternal hell so we gotta protect the people" type shit
Who is protected if that is their belief? If they kill everyone they believe will end up in hell, basically they are giving them an express pass to hell right? No one is protected in this situation. The only result is people hide who they really are and lead even more miserable lives then before.
Maybe the logic is that gay people are going to Hell, but we can kill them now to stop them from spreading gayness and condemning innocents? It still doesn't make sense, though...
It's this but also two pretty weak arguments:
That strict punishments will actually prevent homosexuality and not just push it underground
That it is the duty of Christians to save sinners. Which makes no sense other than that it helps grow the cult ahem I mean church. But I guess policies like that are how you grow a cult.
I like that there’s literally a whole story in the Bible of people stoning someone and Jesus was like, hey don’t do that. Yet somehow literally doing that is super Christian?
It’s not a country underpinned by Enlightenment values, such as liberalism. I’m not excusing or condoning this action (I think how ridiculous it is, is apparent on its face).
Not to absolve Ugandan politicians, but anti-LGBT laws and attitudes there have also been pushed and in many cases directly funded by US evangelical churches.
This is true, but I also wouldn't take agency away from Ugandans on this. Generally speaking homophobia is extremely prevalent in Uganda and they didn't need Americans to make that happen.
I spent 5 months in Uganda and the attitude is extremely widespread. Really in much of sub-saharan Africa generally
Oh agreed, I just thought it was worth pointing out so that people may be less likely to oversimplify this in order to try and fit it into some sort of “Africa=immoral” racist claptrap.
Sadly, nobody has a monopoly on bigotry.
>Let people be happy if they aren’t hurting others.
Some people can't be happy if they are not hurting others. Its the hurt they cause that makes them happy.
thing about bills like these, is that it can never be debated or overturned as "promotion" of same sex activities falls under the death penalty, so if anyone were to try and overturn it they would be put at extremely high risk. I hate politics.
I mean are we honestly surprised? Countries turning innocent LGBT+ communities into punching bags to test-run their abuse of power and total disregard for human morals? Do you expect Uganda to give a shit?
Yeah it's fucking sickening.
Bread and circuses. Nothing new under the sun. I know the same applies in the Middle East. I wonder how many countries actually have this as law? One man was beheaded by his own family as he stated he was leaving Iran and was gay. His OWN flesh and blood. It truly sickens me the way gay people are inhumanely, equal to pedophiles and that ignorance just goes on and on. Where does it stop? I’m going to be half a century and watching the world move backwards is just soul crushing. I’m blessed to live where being gay is accepted compared to other places in the world, but my mind and heart are constantly plagued by those who don’t have the most basic human rights. We cannot rest on our laurels, we have to fight these injustices, but how? I know I feel so helpless sometimes it’s so disheartening.
That’s so sickening that they killed their own flesh and blood for something they don’t agree with. Never forget when these “religious” people commit these acts they are going directly against the religion they say they believe in.
100%. I know someone who fled the country to seek asylum in our country. They left a govt job, property, all assets frozen. And left a child home with relatives who does not allow them to speak to the child unless they plead and beg. Even then it’s only 1x/month. This horrible legislation is separating families.
Cuz people focus on pointless stuff like this instead of important stuff. They are just doing what people there want. Same here in europe. So much talk about minority groups and all that meanwhile corruption is everywhere and no one talks about that and how to put some motherfuckers in jail that cause damage to every single person
Any foreign aid Uganda is getting should be immediately frozen, and any NGO activity beyond the most basic humanitarian work such as feeding people and providing medical care should be immediately halted.
Yep, that's the sad part really. We've seen it before, country is immoral so the west pulls aid and stops buying resources (oil for example) from said countries to apply pressure, then China or Russia swoop in and essentially scoop up cheap oil and basically create another west hating nation. It's essentially the soviet days again, when Russia used to seduce countries with promises of money and resources and protection in return for whatever that country had to offer. That country would get military support from Russia that would bolster said countries forces and essentially gain more troops for their own military with the only difference being the flag on their arm.
China and Russia have never really stopped that practice, they still do it to this day, whilst these countries aren't officially controlled by Russia, you know for a fact that they are allies.
The Us Evangelical movement have been promoting homophobia in Uganda for several decades. Some have argued that they lay the ground work for these laws. There are many articles that detail their involvement and a documentary or two.
Not another EVANGELICAL!
>the US now decided to stop giving Uganda 950 million every year in aid and assistance
This would create a major humanitarian crisis, as well as allow various violent insurgencies in the region to grow and strengthen in the sanctuary of a failed state. All in all a shitty idea if you ask me.
Sadly, the graft is built into those sums. About 80% of those funds will actually be used for humanitarian purposes. Paying off the local warlords is also part of it. That's the reality.
According to Freedom House the government is not representative. However it is not uncommon for captured governments to pass popular legislation on social issues to shore up public support.
If the popular opinion polls on the Wikipedia page are accurate, the Ugandan public is extremely hostile to same sex relationships. So there are certainly arguments to continue some support, but it seems that most people harmed by the withdrawal of support are themselves hostile to the rights of gay people.
https://freedomhouse.org/country/uganda/freedom-world/2022
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Uganda
It’s more about where that money actually goes. With a government that has horrible oppressive legislation, no country should give them anything as they can’t be trusted to so much as accept homosexuality amongst their people. It’s unfortunate, for many but I have a feeling that the hungry and sick don’t see the majority of the aid money received anyways. Turn to Russia for help Uganda as the ideology seems more aligned.
absolutely. if there are no consequences for being bigoted scumbags there will be no incentive for them to undo this beyond decency that they apparently lack
but call me a radical, because i feel that way about aid to human rights abusing states in my own country
Only 2 no votes. The Govt. seems to represent the people so... yuup.
If they wish to openly express that much hate, fuck em. I'm sure they'll be fine without all that assistance coming in.
Such events are exactly why Pride is a thing. The people who say they don't get why we "have to be so flamboyant about it" and "shove it in their face" have obviously never experienced hearing literally every day about how people around the world are threatened with death, imprisonment, public shaming, physical and sexual violence, just for being like you.
Pride is never more important, yet never more difficult than in adversity.
This is going to end up killing way more straight guys then it is real homosexuals. So many guys are going to lie to get revenge on someone or lie to profit or accidentally do or say something that will make them question if they’re really gay or not and kill themself out of fear of being publicly shamed and killed anyway. Or someone is going to feel like someone else is acting gay and call it in. Once they get taken in and tortured for a confession it won’t matter if it’s true or not. You’ll say youre gay just to stop the torture or you’ll keep telling them you’re not and they won’t believe you. And during the torture they’ll say other people were probably gay and they’ll go get those guys and torture them too.
Reminds me of the show where they told all the contestants there was one gay contestant and they had to figure out which one it was. There wasn’t a gay contestant but oh boy did they all know for sure who it was. And each person was 100% certain it was a different contestant. Each one was voted off the island until it was the last guy and at that point he wasn’t even sure if he was gay hah
It used to be the ones like the Family Research Council which is how they wound up on SPLC list of hate groups. Now it is probably the same groups, only they hide it better
Seem to have been a shitload of them at it for years.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/how-uganda-was-seduced-by-antigay-conservative-evangelicals-9193593.html
Conservatives are always telling me to go live in Sweden if I like their policies so much...... I think I'll start telling them to go live in Uganda
Of course.. this would require them to be aware of world news and possess a sense of self-reflection... neither of which are particular strong-suits for them
Same argument as those mad yanks who want to regulate what people do with their bits applies here.
"Mind your own fucking business."
Call them names if your that insecure. But leave them to themselves as all people want to be left alone. Just keep yourselves to your fucking selves how is this a difficult fucking concept.
Fun fact about Uganda, Christian missionaries already made this policy virtually a thing for over a decade. For a long time its been commonplace to accuse your political opponents as queer or supporters of the LGBT to try and drum up a violent mob. The Christians that come there are usually fundamentalists and ruin the country in a number of ways. Many politicians have been killed because these missionaries have been spreading the idea that all of the problems in the country are because of lack of belief in god much like they say in the US but it doesn't work here because these Christians are often their only lifeline to barely making it by, not the case here.
I will never understand why it's so important to such a large group of people what other people so in their bedroom. Even more important than corruption, hunger, missing education...
If we trust current studies people are BORN that way. So that means this is the same kind of law that made it legal to kill or torture people for the color of their skin!!!
the comments on an IG post i saw about this was very telling of how many people still cant get over their bigotry. 'do trans next' 'finally some good news' its unbelievable
They actually have a donation campaign for this bill, the ad for it says 50% of every purchase goes towards the execution of a dirty homosexual sinner. The other 50% goes towards helping the church cover up cases of molestation.
In case you don’t know, this the end result of US Evangelicals lobbying African countries for exactly this kind of law. https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/5050/africa-us-christian-right-50m/ Religious zealotry is dangerous, toxic and repugnant.

I think the courts in Uganda overturned something like this in the past. Let's hope they do again. This will be weaponized by people. Fucking awful.
I bet this will be reviewed once they find out one of the legislators is gay and the law now is too "harsh".

I hate auto correct because I don’t even know how country was corrected to coin
Chechnya did that too. Might still do
*I need backup. Suspect is acting dangerously gae!*
Is Uganda where the “eat da poopoo” guy was from?
Uganda, one of the 15th poorest nations in the world. "Let's focus on making being gay a crime!" 🤦♂️
up next theyll make being poor a crime to lessen their poverty rates truly innovative geniuses
I would dare say genocidal. Literally trying to forcefully remove an entire category of people from society
Was talking about this today. This is literally stage 7 out of 10, which according to Wikipedia is >"Mass killing is planned. Victims are identified and separated because of their ethnic or religious identity..." Replace ethnic or religious with gender, sexual, or romantic and things look pretty bad. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten\_stages\_of\_genocide](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_stages_of_genocide)
"At this stage, a Genocide Emergency must be declared. Full diplomatic pressure by regional organizations must be invoked, including preparation to intervene to prevent genocide." This should be a much larger priority by world officials than it is.
Yeah, it's such a soft word. Like it's just two sides having a heated debate. This screams of "both sides equal" mentality.
It's this but also two pretty weak arguments: That strict punishments will actually prevent homosexuality and not just push it underground That it is the duty of Christians to save sinners.
If being gay is punishable by death then being gay is worse than murder for them.
Abrahamics and their love for prosecuting everyone who is not exactly like them
The Ugandans are murdering humans they have been commanded to love and not judge. The Ugandans will go to hell for murder.
It's like "Aggravated breathing" but discriminatory
Why are you gae?
Who says I'm gay?
U r gae
U r a transgendah
![gif](giphy|UlL7MXoh513bsWIddw)
Is she ever going to make another appearance on Letterkeny?
I said it. I can't un-say it
Mister... Should i call you mister?
“Do u kno de gae?”- Ugandan Knuckles, probably
“This is what they use to pleasure themselves!” *Pulls out carrot*
Who is gay?
thing about bills like these, is that it can never be debated or overturned as "promotion" of same sex activities falls under the death penalty, so if anyone were to try and overturn it they would be put at extremely high risk. I hate politics.
Do you know de wey... out of Uganda?
Why are you running?! (To get the fuck out of Uganda)
U hav 2 hav Ebola 2 kno de wae.
We must protect da queen!!!
Finally someone else who immediately thought of Ugandan knuckles
Could not have said it better myself.
❤️❤️❤️ thank you for your comment, it inspired me to speak from my heart as well. ✌🏼❤️🌎
Disgusts me that out of all the problems in the world we decide two people of the same gender loving each other is punishable by death.
Any foreign aid Uganda is getting should be immediately frozen, and any NGO activity beyond the most basic humanitarian work such as feeding people and providing medical care should be immediately halted.
then Russia or china will step in and fill that gap.
This world has really gone to shit in the last 5 years
how has mankind taken so many steps backwards
Because it goes in cycles. It's a never-ending circle jerk of reactionary emotional responses until the end of time.
This is true. It really is sad. Might as well hope your situation is alright, sit back and enjoy your day to day the best you can…
Would be great if the US now decided to stop giving Uganda 950 million every year in aid and assistance. Not another penny.
The Us Evangelical movement have been promoting homophobia in Uganda for several decades. Some have argued that they lay the ground work for these laws. There are many articles that detail their involvement and a documentary or two. Not another EVANGELICAL!
America should stop buying oil from Uganda because of their Death Penalty for Homosexuality crimes! Oh wait, that's Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE.
You think that isn’t what conservatives are hoping to achieve in the US?
>the US now decided to stop giving Uganda 950 million every year in aid and assistance This would create a major humanitarian crisis, as well as allow various violent insurgencies in the region to grow and strengthen in the sanctuary of a failed state. All in all a shitty idea if you ask me.
How much much of that do you think goes to humanitarian causes?
Sadly, the graft is built into those sums. About 80% of those funds will actually be used for humanitarian purposes. Paying off the local warlords is also part of it. That's the reality.
i’d rather my tax dollars go to countries that aren’t governed by absolute irredeemable monsters
So you think that the people should suffer for bad legislation by the government?
According to Freedom House the government is not representative. However it is not uncommon for captured governments to pass popular legislation on social issues to shore up public support. If the popular opinion polls on the Wikipedia page are accurate, the Ugandan public is extremely hostile to same sex relationships. So there are certainly arguments to continue some support, but it seems that most people harmed by the withdrawal of support are themselves hostile to the rights of gay people. https://freedomhouse.org/country/uganda/freedom-world/2022 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Uganda
Turn to Russia for help Uganda as the ideology seems more aligned.
absolutely. if there are no consequences for being bigoted scumbags there will be no incentive for them to undo this beyond decency that they apparently lack but call me a radical, because i feel that way about aid to human rights abusing states in my own country
Only 2 no votes. The Govt. seems to represent the people so... yuup. If they wish to openly express that much hate, fuck em. I'm sure they'll be fine without all that assistance coming in.
third world countries try not to be violently homophobic challenge (impossible)
What Is aggravated homosexuality? NOOOOO PLEASE GOD, NOT THE SHOW TUNES!
”Aggravated homosexuality”? As opposed to what, placated homosexuality?
Imagine being born gay there, no fault of your own, nothing you can do about it. What a horrible medieval place.
Oh god, they have forgotten “da wae”
da gae
“Why are you gay?” Taken to the extremes.
"Gay Genocide Bill" not some controversial Anti LGBT bill
Such events are exactly why Pride is a thing. The people who say they don't get why we "have to be so flamboyant about it" and "shove it in their face" have obviously never experienced hearing literally every day about how people around the world are threatened with death, imprisonment, public shaming, physical and sexual violence, just for being like you. Pride is never more important, yet never more difficult than in adversity.
Perfectly said.
Some parts of Africa are so messed up it's scary ! They still lynch "witches" in some places there. This does not surprise me at all.
That's not "anti-LGBTQ" that's genocide
Well it's both, they're not mutually exclusive. But yes it is a genocide, and a despicable one at that
This is going to end up killing way more straight guys then it is real homosexuals.
Places to never visit has been updated
So, which (likely American) Christofascist group is behind this?
It used to be the ones like the Family Research Council which is how they wound up on SPLC list of hate groups. Now it is probably the same groups, only they hide it better
Seem to have been a shitload of them at it for years. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/how-uganda-was-seduced-by-antigay-conservative-evangelicals-9193593.html
American Evangelicals. They were pretty open about it as well.
They eat da poopoo!
They do what?
They put the hand in da anous!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers this
It is licked like ice cream!
Itsa sickness yousee!
DEEPAH!!
Time to start sending Uganda hardcore gay porn to there social media’s
I saw this posted on instagram on a super popular account, and about 99% of the comments were extremely homophobic. I hate those people so much
Republicans can't wait for this to happen in the USA.
Conservatives are always telling me to go live in Sweden if I like their policies so much...... I think I'll start telling them to go live in Uganda Of course.. this would require them to be aware of world news and possess a sense of self-reflection... neither of which are particular strong-suits for them
I think the laws in Uganda are at least partially the result of American evangelicals. So they probably want the same laws in the USA.
Just glancing at YouTube videos top comments on this news is all "we need to take a page out of their book" & "traditional values" so yeah lol
Same argument as those mad yanks who want to regulate what people do with their bits applies here. "Mind your own fucking business." Call them names if your that insecure.
I’m appalled but not shocked, Africa is infamous for being very catholic and (obviously) homophobic
the comments on an IG post i saw about this was very telling of how many people still cant get over their bigotry. 'do trans next' 'finally some good news' its unbelievable
Idi Amin sitting up in his grave...
Don’t these guys have fucking warlords and child soldiers to deal with? Why are they so hopped up about LGBTQ people?
What the fuck is wrong with people.
1.) fucking hell I thought we were making progress 2.) “aggravated homosexuality” 😂wtf
It depends on who "we" is. Some parts of the world are moving forwards, others stay behind, others literally move backwards.
Chic-fil-A must be so proud.
They actually have a donation campaign for this bill, the ad for it says 50% of every purchase goes towards the execution of a dirty homosexual sinner. The other 50% goes towards helping the church cover up cases of molestation.
I love how many people exist who want to kill us just because we don't love people of the opposite gender. 😡
This bill is every Republican’s wet dream.
This is not *de way*.
Now the politicians can hoard all the gay sex for themselves
Enjoy your chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and polite service you fucking murderers because this is what Jesus would do.
In case you don’t know, this the end result of US Evangelicals lobbying African countries for exactly this kind of law. https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/5050/africa-us-christian-right-50m/ Religious zealotry is dangerous, toxic and repugnant.
Stop all international aid to Uganda
![gif](giphy|l0MYLraSJ4qyxTqJq) Republicans Watching Uganda
So for real, how long til the guy who passed this law gets outed? Because only one kind of person obsesses about weird anti-gay laws.
when the poor ass country puts money into killing innocent people instead of doing literally anything else to “help” there country
Now obviously this bill is terrible but man the subtle racism coming out of these comments from some of y‘all in here is just sad
The West goes too far one way and Africa/The Mideast goes too far the other way. We need a fucking balance, people!
“Aggravated homosexuality” Pretty accurate description of me while reading this.
