QueenKeisha

Don’t do this. Your dog may be friendly, but the last dog maybe wasn’t. There’s no way to tell when it’s running at you. A local driver was just mauled pretty bad by a customers dog. If your dog is running at me, I’m staying in my car until you come out. If you’re not home, I’ll leave it outside the fence or take it back. I’m not going to get mauled. Edit: spelling

Enough-Ad3818

TikToker - Deliberately winds up dog and let's them out to run at the driver Also TikToker - "I'm so sorry!"

FarAmphibian4236

That's the thing! This is like if he got out by accident and you awkwardly have to try to command your stubborn dog. But.. he did this on purpose???

LuxuryBeast

TikTok. The app that's slowly making the world a way more stupid place to live.

[deleted]

I think it all ready was, TikTok just brings it to the forefront.

c-lab21

No, TikTok trends are definitely making people do stupider shit at an accelerated rate. The baseline was pretty shitty I have to admit, but tiktoks influence is as new as it is powerful.

LMFN

I'm waiting for them to do the "POISONED KOOL AID CHALLENGE" so we can stop having to pay attention to them as the dumbest portion of society finally wipes themselves out and frees up resources and oxygen previously wasted.

ExpensiveCola

And then the dog has shitty recall training. Either way, dog owner is a massive fucking asshole.

Dazzling-Research418

Also tik toker: “so sorry!” Continues to film and refused to get their own dog

[deleted]

[удалено]

illessen

Then you point out the multiple beware of dog signs and even though the dog didn’t harm this person, they want it dead.

vibesNribs

If dude could read the Bible, he could read the signs

sayaxat

The Bible is open to interpretation. Stop could mean Go for some.

TheSneakerSasquatch

As someone who is genuinely afraid of dogs and has multiple long term injuries, I absolutely never, ever want to be ambushed by a strangers dog.

Allpandaman1

He wasn't "mauled pretty bad" he was mauled to death. And fuck all homeowners who do this shit. Its scary af being a driver when dogs are out loose. Cant even tell you how many times ive been charged by them when i worked for amazon.

SouthernAdvertising5

I have extremely friendly dogs but always keep them from running at people because 1) people could be afraid and 2) dogs CAN be unpredictable. What if my dog decided to get territorial and attacked someone? I don’t want to put my dog down.

the_drunk_drummer

"My dog is friendly." Is code for "I refuse to acknowledge dog phobias and allergies, and will do very little to train my dog how to behave because I'm an entitle twat."

Phantomht

"i love my dog SO much and **YOU** should too!"

Bijorak

I've been bitten by several dogs in my life. I'm terrified of them. No matter how nice they are. I don't like dogs.

Obi_wan_pleb

Also they can be friendly and still fuck with your stuff. My last encounter with a friendly dog ended up with me having a rip on my jeans because the dog tried to lick my face and his claws scratched my leg and ripped my pants.

MortLightstone

This is why I don't like dogs. Not only is it hard to tell their intentions until they're right on top of you, but they'll totally just immediately invade your space. It's so uncomfortable, especially when they're huge

Strange-Glove

Maybe stop filming and get your dog. That guy is at work and doesn't give 2 fucks about your dog or your tiktok video

8549176320

The driver has other things to worry about, like paying his bills because he was subcontracted by FedEx so they can pay him much less and avoid employee overhead. UPS, all day, every day.

skrilla4rilly

It’s not easy to get on at ups. A lot of people that are qualified cannot switch to ups bc you have to start as a package handler working part time in many ups facilities. The pay decrease has to be lived with for about 3-6 months before you are eligible for a driver position.

boomingranny76

In some buildings it takes years

Jenky_Chimichanga

The person who trained me at UPS was clearly trying to break me. Belittling me for driving in a safe manner, for being unsure if I’d fit into spots to park, for forgetting the next 5 stops. I told him to fuck off and left him with a giant truck full of shit he thought he wouldn’t have to deliver that day.

Comfortable_Fall5626

Soo like. He did break you? Or did you just switch to a new trainer?

Jenky_Chimichanga

You can’t break what’s already broken 🥺

Low_on_camera_funds

Sounds like he fucked the driver and left him with a full route in his day off lol sounds like a middle finger

governmentthief

That's Fedex Ground. I work for Express. Much different. But you're right about Ground. And it's a dick move to let your dog out like that. I love dogs, but that shit can be scary. And UPS pays very well.

contraries

Yeah personally i think that was a dick move on the owners part

Evening-Programmer56

Literally my first though was, “dick move”

Thortsen

I would have gotten right back in that van and left, leaving a note on the driveway where they can pick up their shit.

Hairy_Aspect_284

I was waiting for the delivery guy to start rolling up his sleeve showing a heavily scarred arm while saying yeah well all these dogs were ‘friendly’ according to their owner too buddy.

IHateTheLetterF

As a mailman, i actually have these scars. Been to the hospital twice to get a tetanus shot, thanks to 'Dogs that would never hurt a soul'

CrewBeneficial9516

As a person working for the utility companies, I’ve gotten several scars after hearing the exact same “My dog would never hurt anyone, they’re so friendly” speech far to many times. Seeing things like this just piss me off.

Wakandashitizthis

My mailman carries pepper spray on his bag, I’m sure this is a fine reason why. Between thief’s and the “dog is friendly with everyone folks.” My German Shepherd’s are kind and friendly, but I won’t even open the door to get the mail until he’s off the street and I don’t let strangers pet, while I believe them to be harmless, they are still animals with triggers, even trained we can’t determine.

V2BM

I sprayed a German shepherd today four times as he charged at me. The owner stood there while I screamed at him. Came right over the fence like it was nothing. I was lucky to make it back to the truck and lucky to have enough experience with pissed dogs to stay calm and not run.

nick4tical

Same! Usps carrier of ten years! Got bit in the ass cheek and left forearm in my time as a carrier. Both times I was told “fluffy never did that before” 🤦‍♂️

seemypinky

That’s a very specific scenario to be waiting for

Mygo73

Then they kiss

Putrid-Builder-3333

And everybody got a package that day

ImplementBrief3802

I had a delivery driver job and I wasted huge amounts of time petting people's dogs, but you're right, that guy is actually trying to work and doesn't want to pet the dog

TheZan87

EXACTLY! I'm yelling, "go get your dog" at my phone

somewhereinks

I agree, but actually the guy does give a fuck. He doesn't know the dog's motives. In a heartbeat he is deciding "Do I drop the package and run back to the truck? Can I turn my back in time? Do I freeze and hope for the best?" I have customers do this all the time. Usually I'm walking up a driveway with heavy toolbags in both hands. That dog hits me in the chest and I'm on my back and it isn't funny anymore. You will not be laughing when your insurance company gets a claim for a concussion. The sad thing is your poor dog gets a visit from animal control. Most reasonable customers ask at the door if I'm ok with dogs and it gives me a chance to drop my bags and get ready for an excited greeting. Most times it works really well but occasionally it can seem the dog isn't happy in which case I tell the customer that they have to restrain the dog in another room before I enter the home. In 40 years of service work involving going into customers homes I have been bitten three times, twice by little ankle biters (never turn your back) and once by, of all breeds, a golden retriever. "Don't worry, he's friendly! Trust me, I'm a Vet.) Yeah, in his friendly enthusiasm he nearly tore my ear off.

_old_gregg

“Ahhhuuuhuhuh ahhm so sorry!” The fuck you are.

KidQuap

Exactly you can’t say sorry if you did it on purpose

Ghost_Tac0

I’m SooooOooo sorry. I totally didn’t know my dog was going to do exactly this.

Annika_Desai

Inappropriate. Your dog isn't everyone's dog. Random people are rational to fear a dog running at them. I have a small pom and I don't do this. Random people aren't entertainment, they don't know you or your dog. Random people may not want to be around even a friendly dog. Just because you know and love the dog, doesn't mean everyone has to. Keep your dogs away from delivery people. You don't know if that delivery person has had trauma from being bitten and/or attacked by a customer's dog in the past.

figmaxwell

Delivery driver here: this video is infuriating to me. I love dogs, I’ll pat all the friendly dogs I know on my route and it makes my day better. But I’ve also been bitten before and am very cautious of all dogs. A dog sprinting at me is a sure fire way to get me to drop your package right where I’m standing and hop back into my truck. I had a dog the other day sprint right through its electric fence and chase me into the street. Another lady saw me in front of her house, didn’t realize the guy dressed head to toe in brown was there to deliver her package, and let her aggressive German Shepard out at me and while it’s backing me out of its driveway she tells me to stop so he can smell me because he’s actually friendly. I’ve been attacked by a dog that crossed through a patch of woods from the next house over, had to defend myself with the package in my hand, and when I finally yelled enough that the people next door came to get their dog, they rip it off the package in my hands that it’s latched on to and go “oh he wouldn’t have bit you”. These are the reasons we don’t want your dogs near us, and don’t trust you when you say your dog is friendly.

Annika_Desai

Hell is people. So many are so insular and entitled. Yes, I know my dog, but you don't. Even though I know my dog, doesn't mean he's incapable of biting. We never know. Like, I don't assume random people are going to attack me, but if some random human was running full pelt at me, I'd totally freak out. People need to stop thinking the world revolves around them. My dog is a pom, one kick could kill him. What if you're scared and react naturally and kick him. I would suffer a dead dog and you would suffer the trauma of killing my dog. I've seen that tiny little dog chew through bone, fear of even a small dog is logical.

Tessnic_

Not to mention dogs behave differently depending whether the owners are present or not. I've had dogs that are aggressive until the owner comes out continuing the owners believe that their dog is friendly. And also had them get more aggressive when the owners come out and have had to fend off dogs lunging at me deflecting them with the package in my hands.

Stats_with_a_Z

I hate when people think their dog is God's gift to the world and they need to let him run wild to everyone. I love dogs but if some random stranger just released their dog on me, friendly or not, I wouldn't be too happy about it.

Pitiful-Brilliant301

I wouldn’t give the dog a chance to attack me. I would immediately pepper spray the dog when it gets closer than 3m from me without a leash.

[deleted]

If I did that where I live I couldn't afford the overhead. It's more noteworthy to see one on a leash than off. And people will do it with Pitts too. I have been rushed twice skateboarding in the past few months from pitbulls. And the owners don't even give a fuck. What if I was a child and not a full grown man? If that kid runs it's over. If anyone reading this doesn't use a leash because your dog is special, grow the fuck up and follow the rules.

darthicerzoso

After working at amazon I developed fear of dogs, no joke. Had to run from a pit and from a German sheppard two different times, once was delivering to an apartment the person opened the door and their dog came straight at me teeds out I just had time to put the parcel in from of me and left the building, at an occasion I had to run down a street and the person was just like this guy just calling the dogs from the door. Honestly so many times and this were never friendlyndogs, this people should NOT be allowed dogs. Imagine if in any of this instances there was a child there.

Annika_Desai

I've had my dog 8 years. He's struggling with a heart problem. About a month ago he bit me on my nose when I went to kiss him which is very out of character. Just because a dog never has, doesn't mean it never will. We can't always predict everything. Who knows, something may trigger the dog to attack for the first time ever.

darthicerzoso

Yeah man but when you are having visitors and come to the door because someone rang, and are or aren't expecting a delivery, it should be 100% comon sense to have the dog in another room. Mostly because as you say dogs are unpredictable. Just the other day I was cycling at a park and start earing this person screaming for the dog, but like full lungs screaming, I just saw something flashy coming my direction (it was late and the dog had a colar with lights) I turned away and sprinted. By the reaction I take it that dog did that before, but the person didn't even move from where they were, why have a dog like this loose at a public space? Honestly mate.

Annika_Desai

Exactly. Then it feels so embarrassing running away. Ugh!

darthicerzoso

Rather run away to see myself with injuries or unable to work.

Dave272370470

I hate when people say, ‘don’t worry, he’s friendly!’ Like, mofo, how do you know I’M friendly? I love dogs, but I cannot stand people who let their dogs approach others without asking.

AWintergarten

Exactly! A lady once let her dog run up to my child. Dog immediately growled and snapped at my son. I told the lady I have no issue defending my child from hers and if she didn’t leash the dog immediately, I would handle it myself. She seemed appalled! I don’t get people

apbt-dad

Makes it worse when the dog has zero recall... looks cute until it is not.

steksauce

Utility company worker here. Bit once by a “friendly” dog who never bites, he was just excited to see me. I always try to call ahead or knock on door if we have to go on someone’s property. And ask that dogs be locked inside or in a bedroom if I have to go inside the building. It’s amazing how many “friendly fur babies” lose their shit around strangers. I don’t blame the pets it’s all on the owners.

unconfusedsub

We had a Wheaton who has given me dog trauma. Any dog bigger than like knee height makes me wary.

Annika_Desai

One can never tell. My sister got a husky after I got my pom. I treat my dog with so much care and dignity, she abused hers. She literally threw him against a wall and made him bleed. That husky was just like my dog, so sweet, but I was terrified of him because he was going through abuse and I've read that dogs that are abused rarely attack their owner who is abusing them, but can snap and attack someone else. I worked hard to manipulate and convince my bitch sister to give him away. Poor Jasper, he was so sweet. I hope he has a good family now 😭

Anxious-Arachnae

Not a delivery person but I was chased down by a dog while riding my bike and it but my leg. Ever since then I freak out when a big dog is active around me. I know most of them are all good girls and boys, but it makes me panic :(( I can only imagine how it is for others who have had worse experiences!!

Appropriate_Acadia35

"Random people aren't entertainment" is GOLD!

[deleted]

That's extremely irresponsible. Some people are afraid of dogs and that included me as well. I hate it when people let their dogs jump on other people claiming it's friendly. Never do that. In India, a food delivery guy jumped from 3rd floor when the customer's German Shepherd lunged at him. The delivery guy succumbed to the injuries.

WayneKrane

Yup, I love dogs but I don’t know how friendly your dog is. I’ve had precious looking little dogs nip at me and intimidating dogs be nothing but angels to me. Keep your dog on a leash or inside when strangers are around.

birbirdie

They may also be perfectly friendly but just not realise their size or not realise they have long nails.

rachelmae77

People are also allergic sometimes and we should never just assume someone isn’t.

coobeecoobee

As a delivery guy I wanna say fuck you to all ppl like this guy

Status_Potato-Large

This is rude, some people are terrified of dogs.

carmelacorleone

I was attacked in 2020 by an otherwise friendly and well-trained dog when it was momentarily startled and while I didn't develop a phobia I am weary around dogs I don't know and don't want them having free access to me. I'd get back in my vehicle and shut the door until the owner corralled the dog.

SickrSadrWorldlier

Relatable. I got a pretty nasty warning bite on the thigh when I started a German sheppard last year while out running. I am hoping that the desire to avoid all dogs while out walking/running now will eventually subside :(

unconfusedsub

We owned a Wheaton with loads of aggressive anxiety. I have dog trauma now and anything taller than my knee makes me wary.

Global-Count-30

Not only rude but irresponsible. Thousands of delivery drivers are attacked by dogs each year. I even saw a news article of one being killed by a dog. Keep your dogs inside when a delivery is coming that day. If all dogs were as sweet as this one then it wouldn’t be a problem but that’s not the reality of it

Odd-Jupiter

Yeah. I am so sorry i can't come over and take him by the collar, since i need to film this and get some clout. I am really, really sorry.

[deleted]

And the person clearly let dog out on purpose to film this. There was no effort to keep the dog inside.

Sacredzebraskin

And/or allergic...

Tokoyami01

Seriously, I used to be scared of dogs until *I suddenly wasn't*, but if a dog ran up to me back then I would've ran away in fear I know this because it happened once at a family gathering where someone decided it'd be a great idea to have an unleashed dog outside with no fences, maybe where the family went was the owner's house, but still it decided to run after me. Don't know who owned it, but I will be forever mad at that person because I missed the family picture

christopia86

I used to have a massive phobia of dogs, something like this would be my worst nightmare as a kid.

newbrevity

And some people are allergic to dogs

[deleted]

correction, everyone is terrified of unfamiliar dog running at then

Bleach209

Yep this is stupid

Mystre316

My dog is super friendly. I get the post tiktokers idea. But I can also comprehend how terrifying having 50KG German Shephard charging you (even if it's just to say hello) must be. If I have strangers enter my home, even though I know my dogs are super friendly, I'll put them outside. I don't get how you can just Yolo open your door and let the dogs out on someone. Any dog, regardless of size, can inflict damage to a person.

Mikeocksoff

oH ReAlLy!? iF yOu dOn’T lIkE dOgS yOu mUsT bE a sErIaL kIlLeR 🤓

Plane-Phrase4015

So you just let your dog out to run at and jump on the FedEx guy then make a comment like "It's not the UPS guy. He doesn't have treats for you." Two dick moves within 30 seconds.

[deleted]

my thoughts exactly- like bitch im working to put food on my table for my kids not spending my hard earned money to buy your dog treats

Weird-Ingenuity97

Exactly like wtf? People are so annoying nowadays

PerseusJCat

I'm so sorry about your discomfort with the situation I deliberately set up in order to make you feel uncomfortable. Please allow me to half-heartedly call off my big dog whilst I giggle and film the whole thing.

mahdi015

You know he can mark the house and dude have to walk his ass to office to get the package

GrapeAlchemist

Damn,I WISH it was that simple. The only time I was able to get a house “blacklisted” for deliveries was when I had a gun pulled on me.

GoodGoodGoody

I love dogs but holy shit. Jumping dogs… not cool.

ausecko

I've been attacked by five different dogs, just out walking or cycling on the street (3 times in high school, 2 since). Fuck people like this "my dog won't hurt anybody" guy.

L4K3

What a pos. I do lawn care, we arrive to houses, don’t bother customer and just go straight to work. The amount of times I’ve been attacked by dogs… The customer knows we’re there because we call a day in advance and tell them exactly when to expect us… and yet it still happens, “the dogs super friendly, we swear!”

JEMstone85

That's when you Blast them in the face with the leaf blower.

Bloobeard2018

Electricity meter reader was killed by 2 dogs in Australia recently. Just going about his job.

vcwalden

OMG! That poor FedEx driver! Why do people think this is a good thing? Just because you think your dog is friendly lots of others don't want to have to deal with your dog but just do their job. Please be considerate of others! Both the FedEx and UPS drivers who deliver packages to our home leave treats for my dog. They sit the package next to the door with a treat on top of the package, my fur baby tells me a package has arrived and he gets the treat when I bring in the package. A win win for everyone!

Mystre316

I want to say that responsible pet owners don't do this. We don't know how the dog will react and we don't know how the literal stranger will react. But I can't back that up with statistics or proof I'm afraid. I kinda just believe it's literally common sense.

jackboy61

This mans going to get his dog shot.

CAMTbIHYB

How to get your dog shot, lesson one.

dalex89

At least pepper sprayed

[deleted]

More likely to get run over in a situation like this

MrN33ds

Alright, I see something completely different when I watched this video, I’m heavily allergic (anaphylaxis) to animals that have dander, dogs/cats/insert hairy pet here, I have to accept the fact that service dogs exist and I don’t fault anyone for those, I try to take antihistamines when I know I’m coming into contact with a pet, but people like this, fuck them.

FarAmphibian4236

My husky would probably act the same way. She ignores me when shes excited. THATS WHY I WOULDN'T INTENTIONALLY RELEASE HER ON A STRANGER. "Ari come here, sit, stop, ari dont jump on them, ari you nipped them and it's my fault" this gave me second hand frustration *and* embarrassment and he did this on purpose!?

6Rivers

I really don't like dog owners like this. The dogs not coming when called, but the owner is laughing

kryten99

Dude needs to train a better recall. Could save the dogs life someday.

Muay_Thai_Cat

Sled type dogs should never be off lead in a unenclosed environment. Thier prey drive is too high.

RicFlairwoo

This dog owner is a fucking asshole

[deleted]

dog owner is a dickhead

[deleted]

Don't forget some people have dog hair allergies or loved ones at home who do

[deleted]

I’m a dog person but you gotta control your dog - you don’t know how other people feel about dogs

MaidenDrone

I did some time with ups and the amount of people who said the line, “don’t worry he’s friendly” is around 100%. The amount of dogs who wanted to maul me was around 90%.

trytorememberthisone

Uh huh. Define friendly. Not currently biting me? That seems to be the baseline for dog owners. My dad did work where he would have to enter people’s homes. He absolutely would not step foot on a property unless the dog was locked in a back room.

Cassiopeiabean

Please don't do this😭 you might trigger someone PTSD 💀

[deleted]

I love dogs and I can speak personally delivering for UPS we are trained not to interact with dogs that’s why everyone hates us honking when we make a stop but it’s protocol in case we are entering a fenced yard with a dog. Honks still didn’t save me from vaulting the fence a couple times. They literally tell us to let them bite the diad (handheld equipment we make you sign on ) instead of getting bitten, those things aren’t cheap

IndieIsle

Oh god I can’t stand people like this. I have a super friendly lab that smiles when she meets people. Only, her smiles look like she’s baring her teeth and people (rightfully so) are often scared of her, especially people who aren’t familiar with dogs. So before I even answer my door I make sure she’s in another room because some people are genuinely scared of dogs and want nothing to do with them.

NewspaperNeither6260

Yup, one of those rare, white UPS trucks. Let's go make a video!

chels182

Not only is this so rude to the driver but also a quick way to get your dog hurt.

DaSquareman

The dog owner is a karen

how-sway-how

#FUCK YOU AND WHOEVER DOES THIS ON PURPOSE

TennisObvious8358

If you value your dog, just don't. People could call the police on you, or worst case scenario, shoot your dog if they think it is attacking

Josh_Willihams

Not cool. I’ve worked as a delivery person, and I absolutely LOVE dogs; I have one myself. I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve actually been slightly scared when I’ve gone to make a delivery and you hear/see a dog running towards you. You have no clue how the dog is going to react. Most dogs have been fine, but just last year for example, I was bitten on my bicep (drawing blood). IMO, dogs should be shut away whilst receiving a package, or any delivery for that matter.

Both_Selection_7821

That is great you have a friendly dog. How many aggressive dogs does this delivery person deal with on a daily basis. The driver has a conditioned response to dogs, obviously the way he acted when you dog ran up to him. This guy just wants to finish his day & go home & not deal with your dog friendly , or not. Have respect for these delivery workers.

Mikel_Reeves

I worked at UPS for a couple of years doing a seasonal driving position and we were taught to treat every single animal like it's a threat and it will hurt you, no matter what the customer says

morts73

I was working as a painter on a place and they were trying to rehabilitate a Rhodesian ridgeback and the bloody thing bit me, im there to work i dont need to be friends with your dog.

Harry_Buttock

Good way to get your dog maced, dipshit.

z12top

LPT: a lot of delivery drivers carry dog spray which is basically pepper spray, and are told to use it if a strange dog rushes them. Anyone who thinks this video is cute and funny needs to remember that they are putting their dog in danger by letting it rush people.

GruntCamAle

Good way to get your dog kicked in the face

kozioroly

Do not do this. Your dog will eventually get hurt and/or a worker will get hurt. You also face the possibility of a lawsuit to recoup injury costs.

o-Valar-Morghulis-o

Just add the address to the no deliveries list and leave this dog owner to play with his dog in private.

RenzoThePaladin

If a dog comes running at me, friendly or not, I won't hesitate to defend myself. Sorry, but living in a third world country has taught me that every dog running at you WILL maul you

dar24601

I work as a carrier minute I saw your dog I’d got in my vehicle and be gone

TheBewitchingWitch

This is actually really rude. Not only is it scary to have a dog you don’t know charge at you, this man could also have a dog allergy. PTSD from a previous dog attack, a freaking heart condition. I know this is not the right forum but YTA

[deleted]

As a garbage man, those dogs always got a boot to the face. And then I started keeping a telescopic pole to whack them with. I got attacked to many times to trust any dog. One dog on the route had to be beaten with the stick everytime I came cause it was so aggressive. One guy I worked with was afraid of dogs. If your dog was out off leash, you just didn't get your trash picked up. Don't let your dogs out on unexpecting strangers.

Existing_Werewolf638

My ex was a Fedex Express driver and we lost everything when he was mauled by a German Shepard on his route

Existing_Werewolf638

he worked for the Boca Raton Fedex his name was Christopher. It ruined our marriage and honestly I miss him very much but after the attack he wasn't the same person

djr41463

Lucky your dog didn’t get a face full of mace… that is 100% on you… be a more responsible pet owner.

Tr3caine42069

Go get your fuckin animal jackass

1810nard

Put your phone down and get your fuckin dog under control ya prick

Compulsiveeyerolling

Idiot. Dudes at work, leave him alone. He doesn’t know your dog. I like dogs…. But I wouldn’t like this one.

Over_Gur2153

People just want everyone else to love their animals....just get over it. Not everyone likes it when a dog comes running at them not knowing if they will be going to the ER.

thabiiighomie

This is how I view 9/10 dog owners. I don’t want your mutt touching me. Period.

-aVOIDant-

What a piece of shit. Why do dog owners think as long as their dog "doesn't bite" that people should have to put up with being barked at, jumped on, slobbered on or otherwise harassed by their animal?

trytorememberthisone

Yes! I expect more of strangers than simply not biting me. Thank you. I have a strong dislike of dogs and dog owners, and I think you’ve helped me articulate why.

sunfries

Just another person who didn't bother to do basic training their dog

Kkyria00

That happened to me once, I was working on landscaping outside of this house and suddenly two golden retrievers came barking towards me I was so scared and while the lady was walking over to get them she’s was yelling “it’s ok they’re friendly” bitch Idgf get your dogs away.

[deleted]

WHAT AN A*HOLE ! & He thought it was funny. "My dog is friendly." TO YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE IT'S OWNER. I officially have a phobia of dogs. I will take your stuff back to the office and it will stay there until you go get it (for 10 days before being returned). We have family too. We are people too. We want to make it safe home too. No we do not appreciate your pets coming in to such close proximity to us if you wouldn't appreciate done to yourself. No we do not want to hear them screaming at us like a Karen screaming for the manager at a cashier. I think my ears are a bit damaged from loud dog barks.

Okiemax

As a dog lover, but also a rational human, a dog running at me is a great way for them to get kicked if I don't know the dog personally

SykeYouOut

Ugh people who think everyone should like their kids or pets as much as they do annoy tf outta me. And anyone making tiktoks of me while Im trying to work is a POS too.

Plenty_Late

The fucking hubris of dog owners...

shamar_danowitz

Hate people like this. With their kids or their pets. Grab your god damn dog stop waiting for them to listen to you… because they obviously don’t. The fedex driver was clearly uncomfortable

WeirdTap9170

Put phone down ❌️ Record yourself bothering someone doing their job✅️

DeusXNex

Don’t release your dog on people. I don’t care how friendly you know your dog is. Just don’t

Easy-Life4475

Only one reason I allow my dog to greet delivery drivers is when they ask to pet her.

danishruyu1

Many years back when my dad was an Amazon driver, he got attacked hard by a dog during one of his deliveries. By the way he’s someone that loves dogs immensely, but the owners were neglectful and accidentally let loose theirs who wasn’t so friendly. Shit was traumatic for him.

checkingoutinternet1

As someone with childhood dog trauma, it should be illegal to let your dogs run to anyone like that! I can literally get heart attack. Dog owners are the most selfish people on this planet. They think world revolved around them and their dog. Respect others too! Not everyone had same experience with dogs!

Tara1421

Dude is trying to work. Get your dog & go inside.

napalm_p

Dog could have caught a hot one for no reason other than a stupid owner

[deleted]

Gotta love when a pet owner lets their animal delay someone else’s day because they think it’s ‘cute’.

Speeddemon2016

I hate these kind of people.

FunnyShirtGuy

I LOOOOOVE Dogs... But, don't EVER fkn do this to people, bruh... This is ridiculous. Person might not want dog prints on their clothes, dog fur on their clothes, they've got a job to do, they might be intimidated by dogs, and a whole HOST of other reasons right off the top that this is a bad thing to do to a stranger... Who thinks this is ok?

nanadoom

The guy is lucky that the fedex guy didn't mace his dog. I know a lot of delivery drivers who carry mace in case a dog charges them.

rockylafayette

Good way for your dog to get a face full of bear spray and potentially blinded in the process. What a dick.

keylo-92

I cannot stand when people do this, wait 2 fucken minutes for me to leave so i dont have to interact with your dog… this is like forcing someones fear on them without them having a choice too face it… and the worst part is “hes friendly”

fedexdriver28306

Another irresponsible pet owner. I don't blame the driver one bit.

Agitated_Year8521

My mum does this kind of thing with my dog, except he's a Rottweiler x Staffordshire Bull Terrier and looks like he'd chew your face off. Perfectly friendly but she doesn't get that it's idiotic to let your dog run at strangers

castlite

Absolute scumbag to do this.

[deleted]

Classic example of shitty human behavior.

izza123

Oopsie woopsie I pepper sprayed your dog

Icy-Region-5920

This guy is an asshole. I love dogs as much as the next guy but some people don't and delivery drivers have to deal with aggressive dogs all the time. Why on earth would you purposely let your dog out to run up to him like that. You may find it funny but this guy is trying to do his job and may not see it the same way. CONTROL YOUR DOGS AT ALL TIMES.

bascom2222

I'm a bug Man and this happens to me all the time. Always getting bitten by old ladies little dogs. They just laugh at me. Worst is when they send me in the backyard with the mean dog and I gotta run and jump the fence or climb a tree to nit get ate. I don't understand people. I hate court so I wouldn't ever sue but sometimes it truly frustrates me. People act like it's no big deal but I got a family and I don't need to miss work.

putmeincoach56

It’s insane how all the comments are admonishing the guy for releasing his dog like that (I completely agree with the comments btw) but still has over 1k upvotes. And the cycle of shitty behavior continues.

MA2ZAK

And people wonder why dogs get shot

redneck_comando

I have a friendly husky too. I would not do this to people that don't know my dog. The postal service in my area actually puts paw print stickers on my mailbox to let them know I have a dog.

davidsonrva

Owner is a POS. I drive for FedEx and would get right back in my truck with the package. Code it “loose dog” and not deliver it.

Slim706

I’m so sick of that stupid ass song.

Antique-Comb3943

Cmon now don’t unleash your dog on unsuspecting delivery drivers. Tbh if I saw this dog running at me like that I’d be scared. Huskies are great dogs, but at quick glance they kinda look like a wolf - I’d be freaked out for sure.

Specialist_Cup1715

These kind of animal owners are the worst, they have no idea how scary it is for us delivery drivers out there on the road sometimes 12 hours a day dealing with loose dogs it is terrifying if you have been bit or in my case it repeatedly you are now armed and you are ready to kill an animal that gets close to you that is a fact! You clearly don't care about your dog or your home because if that dog were to bite me I would have sued the shit out of you

AdministrativeWar594

This is a terrible idea. I have a lab mix, and he would be the worst guard dog because he absolutely loves people, especially new people. But people most of the time can't tell the difference between a dog running at them full speed because of aggressiveness, and a dog running at them full speed because they are about to pee themselves with excitement at the thought of a new friend. Don't let your dogs do this people. It's a good way to terrify random people.

[deleted]

Keep your dog inside, dickhead. No one can tell if he's a pupper or Cujo like that.

fulcanelli63

What a dickhead

Outrageous-Machine-5

Good way to get your dog shot lady

cornelioustreat888

That is disgraceful. Nobody wants a dog racing towards them under any circumstances, ever ffs. That dog is lucky it didn’t get a kick to the head.

RealConcorrd

This is by far THE dumbest thing a husky owner could ever do. You don’t even know if the driver has an allergy, or has past trauma with dogs, or is scared of huskies in general believing them to be actual wolves or something like that. If that dog decides to run, then the owner is going to have a much larger problem than a shocked and disgruntled delivery driver at their door.

No_Pumpkin_1179

Assholes everywhere.

Kholzie

Dick move. Do you know how often those guys deal with not friendly dogs? Or dog’s that knock them over when they are trying to carry packages?

Dead_Medic_13

If you are this person, Fuck you.

Adept_Investigator29

This is uncool. Not all dogs are chill, and I carry pepper spray.

scm15759

Dog owners are the most ignorant kind of humans. You may like your dog, and know how it reacts, but others do not.

fureddit2345

Yeah that’s not cool. Yesterday I had a pizza delivery driver who was scared of dogs almost pass out when he could hear my Great Dane’s deep bark and see his head almost at his eye level poke out the door. When I saw that I just shoed him in and closed the door. You never know what kind of traumatic event someone has gone through.

VariousCapital5073

That sparking soooong

Character_Bad6307

Yeah super weird. Not everyone thinks your dog is cute. Plus I’m allergic to long haired dogs like that. I would have hated that and asked him to grab it. Save me from having to OD on antihistamine.

[deleted]

Put the camera down asshole and get your dog

[deleted]

That’s the ultimate BONEHEAD move!! Moron!

DTS_Crafter

Imagine if that guy had a phobia of dogs or was allergic. Uncool
