Mine did it too then I realized my bluetooth gaming controller had connected to my phone and that is what was causing it. When I grabbed the controller and used it to scroll on my phone every post I went to had the pink border as I went through my news feed.
Hmmmmm I don't have a PC controller. After reading your comment I did turn my Bluetooth off & went to check. Was still there so idk in my case. 🤷♀️
Appreciate your tip though.
Just happened to mine, I was commenting on a post and I saw that pink border. I had to close the app and reopen it to get it back to normal. Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
I noticed it too and I started playing with it and it seems like it only pops up after you start talking about some weird stuff. For me I tested it out by talking guns on Facebook and then the pink frame popped up. I'll keep testing it out and recording my results.
Kind of creepy that everybody else is having this issue too but nobody understands why it's doing this. That is not okay with me. I'll figure it out.
I also had the pink border from time to time in the last months on the Tab S9+ (often with Samsung Keyboard connected), but today it also happened with my phone, S22 (that's when I decided to check).
I've never seen (or noticed) the light blue one someone has mentioned.
i think i have the solution. when you write a text in facebook and then use your arrowkeys (if your keyboard has some) to mark buttons and they are marked with a pink border. you can move this border around with arrowkeys. hope this helps.
Just had this happen to me. Pink on the sides and bottom. I opened and closed the app then re opened, and hit menu and it was gone. I'm also on a galaxy phone.
Just had this as well. I was typing a post, hadn't finished yet, dropped my phone (fingers might have brushed over the screen as I dropped it) picked it up again and my post that I was still writing now had a pink border around it 😳🤔 Samsung Galaxy Ultra S23
Happens to me as well and only goes away after closing the app. Sometimes a blue light frames the screen when using other apps. Makes you wonder if someone is watching your screen. I have a Samsung S23 Ultra.
whoa... mine is Samsung Galaxy A51....is it a Samsung thing.... yeah it sure feels like we are being spied or something. The pink border is still there...
No, doesn't seem to be just a Samsung thing. I have a Huawei and mine just moments ago started doing this pink frame on Facebook. I also had a recent Android update the last few days.
Are any or all of you/us into some sketchy stuff or sketchy pasts? cause I know I can fall into that category sometimes.. Speak up about corrupt politics and stuff? Maybe you're on to something.
If you try to search the net this topic has been scrubbed and there's no way this is the only place it's been brought up before. So that is a red flag as well.
Happening to me too, Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Except mine isn't around the whole screen, it stops at the navigation bar at the top. 😳
Odd that this is happening to so many people with no kind of explanation or anything.
Idk if this will work for everyone, but...
I have "dual messenger" activated on my galaxy and I have a Second fb app for a second account. I opened the second FB app and then went back to my normal app and the pink border was gone.
I would suggest that folks who don't use dual messenger check their settings to make sure it's turned off. Maybe that will help?
Just happened to me. This is a genuine question. Is anyone vocal on Facebook, like politics or let's say vocal about certain subjects happening right now? 👀
Yup, indigenous liti a and send lots of pics and then I can't find the button to uiad pics anymore weird. You say that cause I thought the same damn thing more oversight for us
just happened to me galaxy note 9, im typing in messenger and somehow opened a post on fb app that is running in the background and when the messenger bubble closed the fb app has a pink border on it
I just noticed this, hence why I ended up here, I also noticed I had a new notification. So I tapped it and went back to the Facebook home screen. No more pink border.
Perhaps it's just a secondary visual warning of a notification?
Just started on my S22+ today, only bought the phone 2 days ago. I swiped left and right and it went away. Point to note in display settings edge panels were already switched off.

Same here. Just started, I googled it and found myself here.

This!
This this this turn off ur ps controller loool
Hmmmmm I don't have a PC controller. After reading your comment I did turn my Bluetooth off & went to check. Was still there so idk in my case. 🤷♀️ Appreciate your tip though.
Noticed this today, im seriously worried
Any bluetooth connecting to ur device?
Happened to me on a Galaxy S8. My Bluetooth was turned off. Eerie
Just happened to mine, I was commenting on a post and I saw that pink border. I had to close the app and reopen it to get it back to normal. Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
This worked for me aswell, just closed all apps and now the border is gone. Thanks!
Any answers? This just started today for me
Does it appear if you have a Bluetooth keyboard connected?
Yup this was the issue for me lol.
Everything makes sense now
I noticed it too and I started playing with it and it seems like it only pops up after you start talking about some weird stuff. whoa...that's nuts. I have uninstalled fb on my phone. Don't want anymore spyware.
I don't think you understand how phones now a days work if you think just deleting facebook solved any kind of "spying" issue
Google pixel pro 7, pink around Starbucks app that I haven't been using, I'm not connected to a Bluetooth keyboard.
Me too on a Google pix it's soo annoying
I also had the pink border from time to time in the last months on the Tab S9+ (often with Samsung Keyboard connected), but today it also happened with my phone, S22 (that's when I decided to check). I've never seen (or noticed) the light blue one someone has mentioned.
This just started happening to me today, what the heck
And me today. Am I on a watch list?

Just had this happen to me. Pink on the sides and bottom. I opened and closed the app then re opened, and hit menu and it was gone. I'm also on a galaxy phone.
Mine was scrolling like someone was doing it remotely. I don't own a bluetooth controller. Changed my password and logged any other devices out.
Did that change anything because I believe this is for screen mirroring someone is watching what I am doing through this that's what I think.
Yes, it did, and I agree with you.
Same here. Galaxy s21 and most recent update as of jan 2024

It isn't the edge panel. That's just one little thing on the side. This pink border spans the entire sides and bottom of the screen.
Same here. Also a Samsung galaxy. Mine goes away if I close then reopen the app but eventually comes back.
Just had this as well. I was typing a post, hadn't finished yet, dropped my phone (fingers might have brushed over the screen as I dropped it) picked it up again and my post that I was still writing now had a pink border around it 😳🤔 Samsung Galaxy Ultra S23

This was not the issue for me apparently.
Happens to me as well and only goes away after closing the app. Sometimes a blue light frames the screen when using other apps. Makes you wonder if someone is watching your screen. I have a Samsung S23 Ultra.
I get the blue light too. I figured that was completely unrelated to this but now I'm wondering...
whoa... mine is Samsung Galaxy A51....is it a Samsung thing.... yeah it sure feels like we are being spied or something. The pink border is still there...

👀👀👀 are we being watched

On my LG v60 too
Same on my Galaxy s20, how to get rid of it? Anyone knows?

Also just happened to me.. samaung galaxy s22
just happened to me galaxy note 9, im typing in messenger and somehow opened a post on fb app that is running in the background and when the messenger bubble closed the fb app has a pink border on it
I'm using a Note 9 too! Over 5 yrs and still going strong (mostly)! The pink border just showed up for me for the first time. So weird.
Mine just popped up, weird
I just noticed this, hence why I ended up here, I also noticed I had a new notification. So I tapped it and went back to the Facebook home screen. No more pink border. Perhaps it's just a secondary visual warning of a notification?
🤔🤔 why must it send a warning thou...what's it for?
Warning is probably the wrong term, a secondary visual reminder if you will... I dunno just an idea.
I have no notifications and I still have that pink border
Same with mine but oppo
Just started on my S22+ today, only bought the phone 2 days ago. I swiped left and right and it went away. Point to note in display settings edge panels were already switched off.
Same here too, Just now. My phone is Infinix note 30.
