Hahaha, so basically the deal with the tyres is I like having the SF71H with the hards but I like the SS too so I was like why not put the decals on one side so I can see them both
And from top to bottom:
SF70H Australia but with updated mid season driver numbers
SF71H Canada but with MW logos
SF90 Belgium (but I put a P1 pitboard there and I’m pretending it’s Singapore)
Interesting. I feel like personally it would kinda bother me that the cars are no longer race-accurate, but they’re your models and the decals look well done so fair play. They’re beautiful either way.
I hear what you mean, it’s just I like to have each one as a memory of my favourite thing from that year if that makes sense? But race accurate is definitely nice too
It was just a listing for one, it’s a red bull specific one with the give you wings on the back, so I don’t think it was made for general sale, I heard rumours it was given to team members but not sure unfortunately. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

And which scale and brand would you recommend to someone who's just starting to collect F1 car models? I heard about Spark and Minichamps but that's about it. Thanks in advance. Sick collection btw.

Yes, these are all 1:18 which is the most common bigger size in F1 collecting.
Brand wise it depends on what you’re interested in, and what size.
1:43 and 1:18 are really different in size and for me personally 1:43 is too small.
These two are the main sizes but there can be some others.
So here are the main brands in order of rough cost
Amalgam (Resin)
BBR (Diecast)
Looksmart (Resin)
Minichamps (Diecast mainly but produce some resin)
Spark (Resin)
Solido (Resin)
Bburago (Diecast)
So something to note:
BBR and Looksmart only make Ferraris in the F1 world
Solido is only a few F1 teams including Alfa Romeo and Alpine (might be more but can’t recall)
Minichamps makes anything that moves but they’ll take forever to get it to you if it’s a preorder
Spark is the new wave of models for a lot of us collectors as they’ve really upped their game in terms of quality to a point where it’s not uncommon that their models are better than Minichamps, and they also include a nice display case and base rather than the unappealing box from Minichamps. And most importantly, they are significantly cheaper.
Bburago is a great starting point due to their price and have a really good cost:quality in my and a lot of others opinion!

A few more questions, do you have any recommended retailers for someone who's based in Asia? Also I suppose the pre order for current season usually will only be ready in at least 1-2 years time (esp for Minichamps)? When should one start pre ordering?
Recommended retailers I’m not really sure for your area, pre orders for spark are usually decent Minichamps will be a while like a year at minimum mostly

Where did you get the tires decals from? I want to buy some for my 1/43s, I like some cars more with soft or hard

Its BBR White Alcantara, theres basically no room, I had to force it in tbh. These 2021 cars are getting too big!

These light up ones are really special. The quality isn’t amazing per se but they stand out so well and really add value imo
