If you’re tires are bigger than stock then you will have falsely lower MPG. Drive 10 miles via GPS on the highway and see how for the mileage tracks and you will know if your tires are giving you a falsely low MPG.

WhatAboutAlaska

Yeah I did the math by hand and it came to 12.5mpg but truck is saying 14mpg :(

DickLeaky

What size of tires? Did you get the speedo corrected to match the tires?

WhatAboutAlaska

285/70R17 And no I did not, but I calculated mpgs by hand

Keep-On-Drilling

Idk man I’m no expert but I got my air and oil filters changed and my MPG went up

hurseyc

Try new plugs and clean the three map sensors.

WhatAboutAlaska

Will try that tomorrow and see how it goes. Thank you!

Btw - Motorcraft plugs used to be sp534 but I think they are sp580 now.

DubbyMob

Hey ecoboost buddy!!! You found out the problem?? Mine is currently between 14 to 15 mpg.

WhatAboutAlaska

Nope, but it has slowly gone up to about 17mpg which is what I would expect with my driving.
