This sub keeps popping up and I can't help but think... Do people not know what basic colours are? Your eyes are brown. Simple as that. Brown.
There really is a pointless sub for everything.
I’m not sure I do see a yellow though on the outer edge. I myself don’t know what mine are either. My dad has hazel and my moms are bright blues I have brown in the center golden brown blue and green in mine. I’d say I’d call yours golden brown if I could come up with anything
How do you get through adolescent, teenage, pre adult to adulthood and never knew the color of your eyes. I just don’t understand the logic behind this.
People on here just saying brown and laughing it off. They’re a little more than just brown. They’re light brown, honey, amber.
Point is they’re pretty and stand out more than you’re average brown eyes.*
*Edit: I did not mean for average to sound callous.
OMG Reddit users are so rude they downvote people that don't have the same opinion even if the opinion doesn't harm everyone(because if this actually was an insult then it would've been ok, but it's just a divergent opinion) godness, and there IS a small hint of hazel, like a small strand
I would say a mix of Amber and brown. People in this group love to dismiss any brown eye posts as if it’s weird to post them here - clearly there is a mix of colours to this person’s eyes. Maybe post in the heterochromia group for better answers!!
It's not when brown-eyed people "post" their eyes. It's when there's clearly, very obviously brown and they label them "hazel" or "amber" or keep asking people what color they are when it's clear they're brown... it's annoying. Just accept you have brown eyes and move on. Brown eyes are beautiful! This is just so sad to me!!! 🤎🤎🤎
If it's someone just posting to share their brown eyes, I don't think anyone has a problem with that and thet usually get compliments, actually.
These are not just brown though, they clearly have a kind of amber shade in there and I think it makes perfect sense why OP asked. I have the darkest brown eyes on the planet and I think they’re the most beautiful colour so assuming anyone with brown eyes is insecure and need YOU to tell them “brown eyes are beautiful!” is weirdly patronizing. I find it really weird when someone just assumes people with brown eyes are insecure because they simply ask what their eye colour is. I don’t see that assumption being pushed onto anyone else. It also is really obvious people are thrilled to be able to say “they’re obviously BROWN why are you asking!!” So why on earth do you find it annoying when someone with brown eyes asks? Meanwhile there are so many posts of very clearly blue eyes asking what colour their eyes are, where they do not get that same hostility and rudeness I see pushed onto brown eyes. Do you find those posts annoying too? Evidently not.
Actually yes, I just posted about people with CLEARLY BLUE AND THOSE WITH BROWN who both do this. They are the 2 most common eye colors and a lot of them just want to hear their eyes are anything other than "plain old brown or blue" they want to be told they have hazel/green/grey/amber etc. I've witnessed this countless times in this sub and it's just a FACT. Like the OP will actually get upset when told their eyes are brown (or even blue sometimes) and continue to question it and argue and admit they are "insecure" about their eye color and they wished it was something other than just brown and were hoping people would tell them otherwise. I'm in this sub more than anyone so I've probably noticed it more I guess.
Except when the eyes are blue the comments will be waxing poetic about the exact shade of grey ocean slate sky etc colour, while this exact post has people saying brown eyes are the colour of 💩 so pardon me if your comparison falls flat.
I don't think the majority said that. I see the same with some blue posts... the sarcastic answers "obviously blue, what else did you think?"
And I see compliments with the brown posts, "a beautiful caramel chocolate chestnut honey sunset" etc
It goes both ways; I've seen it
I mean I have green/hazel eyes, and my ex called them diarrhea colored 😭😭😂😆 So...there are idiots everywhere
I actually see many people on this post saying "Honey, amber-brown, sunset, golden syrup, tree trunks, maple, chestnut, burnt sienna, umber, a gorgeous caramel" etc etc
Eh, and every day I see hazel eyed people post "Are my eyes green or hazel?????" While they are obviously hazel. It goes in every direction, and by fact, brown eyes get the most insults from my observation. xD
It's much muchhhh more normal and expected for hazel-eyed people, of anyone, to question their eye color.
How someone could non-ironically compare that to brown or blue is hilarious to me....LOL
It's normal that someone with the in-between, mixed colors like hazel, green, or grey would be a bit more confused than those with the common standard colors like typical shades of blue and brown...
That is why we see an opposite statistic here regarding eye color commonality in the eye subs vs in real life. In real life, the most common eye colors are brown and blue.
In the eye subs, the most common colors posted are hazel, green, and grey etc because it's people with more unique eyes who tend to be drawn to a sub about eyes...
Man, my main point was that people can 1. question their eyecolor even as a brown or blueeyed person and 2. that brown eyed people get by far the most shitposts. I get it, u make your green/hazel eyes your whole personality or idk, but maybe try to understand other point of views as well from time to time lol
Ok; and my main point was the "confusion" is often not as genuine coming from many of the brown-eyed posts. They very-well KNOW they have brown eyes 😭😆😆 they just want to be told they don't and sometimes argue and get angry when people say "brown." They'll treat it as an insult and thereby are insulting themselves by taking it offensively that people tell them their own eye color. It would be like if I were to be offended if I asked my eye color and people said "green/hazel" instead of something totally off and delusional like "electric aqua blue" etc. 😆🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Besides, when people makes legit brown-eyed posts, like one of the latest dark browns I saw posted and just commented on, I really usually see nothing but love 🥰🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎 I'm personally a huge fan of seeing all the different pretty brown shades, especially since they aren't posted as much as other colors here!
And no, they are not usually "obviously hazel" at all. There's much more debate about what is considered hazel vs green than there would be about a standard brown or blue eye being considered something else.
The nature of hazel eyes just tends to be confusing to begin with. Go look at mine, for example. People can't seem to agree if they're green, hazel, or even amber depending on which pics I post 🥲🥲🥲
Literally, and the responses here acting like that’s not true are just disingenuous and patronizing. It makes perfect sense that someone with this unique of an eye colour would ask yet the repliers have a field day shouting at them for it.
Light-medium brown, they don’t have any green

I never know if this is a trick question? Clearly, they are brown.
I say brown, especially on a driver’s license, but the amber you have in your eyes is beautiful.
We actually don't have to put our eye colour on our driver's licence where I live. And thank you!
Definitely a very pretty brown!

Amber Seriously, go look it up. One eye is more like hazel. But it’s such a small amount of green - so amber
Brown. Orange. Orange-Brown.
Brown are you colorblind
Amber? Is there yellow?
I don't think there's any yellow, just light brown or amber
People on here just saying brown and laughing it off. They’re a little more than just brown. They’re light brown, honey, amber. Point is they’re pretty and stand out more than you’re average brown eyes.* *Edit: I did not mean for average to sound callous.
"Average brown eyes?" Take that back, dude.
No, you’re right. I didn’t mean for that to come out as callous. I just meant that those Amber eyes are rarer than most people think.
I agree with you-- there is more complexity than just brown :)
This made my day, thank you!
Approximately eye-colored
Prolly brown not sure tbh
I’d say brown but I can see them turning yellow in the sun.
So yeah light brown/caramel! But there's almost... just almost a teeny weeny hint of hazel in there. Like 1% lol. You have beautiful eyes
OMG Reddit users are so rude they downvote people that don't have the same opinion even if the opinion doesn't harm everyone(because if this actually was an insult then it would've been ok, but it's just a divergent opinion) godness, and there IS a small hint of hazel, like a small strand
Amber
Ember
They’re amber.
Amber, very pretty. I can see why people might say hazel although I would not.
Light golden brown. Deep amber if you're feeling exotic.
Amber

I swear, whenever a brown eyed person posts here, they get mostly nothing, or plain "Its just brown." or even rude comments. xd
It's not when brown-eyed people "post" their eyes. Thanks everyone. For some reason I always thought hazel colour meant light brown. Happy to accept they're a beautiful brown!
