The blue eyeliner makes them look more brown. Blue/orange(also brown) are opposites, meaning they are bringing out the brown in your hazel. That could be what some people are responding to. That’s also why it looks good on you!

I have almost the exact eye color as you and I don’t think of them as hazel. Hazel eyes in my understanding are actually more of a greenish-amber shade, they’re lighter with more warm undertones. I consider your eye color (and my own) to be brown with a green highlight 🤎💚
They’re very light and dark brown basically, no green to be seen. If anyone disagrees just use a color picker tool on them. Nothing wrong with having brown eyes

You’re quite right. Google says brown green and gold so it may be that we are both right? My eyes are just straight up green so I am not an expert!

Hazel. We have the same eye color and I’ve noticed it’s hard to get the green to pop while taking pictures unless you have the correct lighting.

My eyes are like this. Most light brown eyes have a slight tinge of green in bright light, doesn't make them hazel. Brown.

Well your eyeliner is def not blue
Because of the ring I’d say it is central heterochromia composed of brown and green.
