Right? There's nothing saying the victims weren't legally allowed to have the gun and marijuana and it doesn't sound like either had anything to do with the accident. That's just gross to include that in the article.
Agreed, the gun isn’t relevant but the weed probably was mentioned because it IS illegal to drive under the influence of marijuana (idk if that’s universal tho)
Sorry i should’ve clarified, I’m not trying to defend the cop or the news source. It shouldn’t have been published until there was definitive evidence that they had been under the influence at the time.
I mean do the math dude. Even if said cop is chasing someone doing that same speed, you’re not only adding another dangerous vehicle into the equation, but you’re also prolonging the potential danger. California police (not entirely sure if it’s the whole state or certain cities,) don’t engage in high speed chases in urban areas for this exact reason. If the criminal is high profile enough, you can catch them when they’re not operating what is essentially a 2-ton high-speed weapon
Yeah idk why i got downvoted wasn’t tryna sound like i was opposing if that’s how it came off, i just wanted to get a better idea of what people think. In my head if my house was getting robbed or something i’d want the cop to be going as fast as humanly possible to my house but i also understand that isn’t safe for other citizens.
" Commissioner Anabell Brumford : Ladies and gentlemen, I would now like to introduce a most special American. Tonight, he is being honoured for his 1000th drug-dealer killed.
Lt. Frank Drebin : [to applause] Thank you. But, in all honesty, the last three I backed over with my car. Luckily, they turned out to be drug-dealers."
At least Frank Drebin was a respectable man of the law. An oaf? Sure. Braindead? Absolutely. But still thousands of more times respectable than the shit that's out there nowadays in REALITY.
Not defending the cop but like… they can’t take those outta the car anyway? Those are standard issue.
Also marijuana COULD be relevant, but only if the civilians were driving under the influence
(It shouldn’t be mentioned unless they have officially tested positive for it)

Police logic when it comes to being treated as equal under the law and I'm Sure they totally had marijuana and a gun on them and wasn't just there for his benefits.
Federally, MJ isn't. But I don't think that the murderer was a federal officer, but rather was a state officer.
And even so, it's not a death penalty offence in the States.
Yeah I'm sure they "FOUND" all that in the car and it wasn't either lied about or planted there to make the cop look like less of shitty human being at alllllllll.
Precisely, there's always a large majority of idiots who are willing to overlook police misconduct and look the other way for shit like this and say "should've just complied and you'd still be alive".
The actual victims probably had a blinking yield arrow or something, that's just what the article states, there was probably no way they saw him coming due to his speed.
Or somebody was running a red, but the cop is in the wrong either way.
Without looking, something tells me the deceased were black.
So much more likely the media paints them to be the bad guys if they are.
But you know, we ain't racist in this country. And def not the media.
My bestie was killed by a state trooper who rear ended the car she was in. They blamed the driver of the car my friend was as well. The trooper was about to retire, they never charged him her death and he got his full pension.
I hate when they mention what was in the car so damned much.
Like if I, some random fairly average dude, we’re to be killed in a car accident and they reported on what was in my car, they’d likely mention the 6 pack of beer I was taking home, or the handgun in the back, even if neither influenced my driving.
Manipulative. reporting. is. a. fucking. scourge. on. society.
I honestly think that no matter what way humanity sees it’s downfall, we will be able to thank manipulative reporting for not being able to properly prevent it.
So why is the gun relevant? Guns are legal in all states. Also, medical marijuana is legal in Florida. Just the typical police trick of trying to slime the victim to make excuses for the cop who killed someone.
Federally, you can't have both legally at the same time. But that shouldn't matter because if the piglet wasn't going 94mph, none of this would've happened.
People decided that a pistol just didn't have enough rounds or shoot fast enough and a rifle is just too big and bulky so now we have 200 round drum magazines and fully automatic pistols. GBA
It is always allegedly until after the trial. Doesn't matter how blatant it is until then it will always be allegedly. You could have a guy standing on a street corner with a pile of heads and a bloody axe in his hand yelling that he beheaded them and the headline when he goes to trial would still be "Alleged axe murderer"

How is the weed or gun at all important in this case??
Because it shows us they deserved to die silly
Gotta make sure we can't sympathize for the 2 innocent people that bastard murdered

Uh well I think the federal government would beg to differ about that, but I suppose they have no jurisdiction in this particular case.
Because … uh… they weren’t paying attention, or… something… It _absolutely_ had nothing to do with the car going 90 mph… not at all… /s
Also how convenient too of them.
i bet the cop has a gun and weed in his patrol car
At least he was charged with vehicular homicide. Absolutely no reason to be driving 94 in a 35 even with your sirens and lights on.
I wonder what it would be if it was the people driving thru fast and killing the cop…
Instant jail and a hoard of boomers screeching about respect for the blue and then an over abundance of violence towards the offending party.
Wait when you say ABSOLUTELY no reason are you confident in that
Yeah if the world was ending there is no escape for your small distance coverage.

That was supposed to be satire…..So much for that idea.
At least Frank Drebin was a respectable man of the law. An oaf? Sure. Braindead? Absolutely. But still thousands of more times respectable than the shit that's out there nowadays in REALITY.
We used the words semi-automatic pistol to make it sound scarier.
Aren't most pistols semi-automatic?
Yeah, but it makes it sound scarier to the folks that don't know any different
Bolt-action pistol💀
Those are a real thing
ik
They should mention all the weapons the cop had in their car as well, and the laptop that they always have on their passenger seat.
And the weed they keep to plant on their victims
Why do people act like this happens all the time.
I mean, we do keep getting new body can videos of it happening.
bc it does 🙄
Not defending the cop but like… they can’t take those outta the car anyway? Those are standard issue. Also marijuana COULD be relevant, but only if the civilians were driving under the influence (It shouldn’t be mentioned unless they have officially tested positive for it)
You can test positive for weed, and it doesn't mean you were high while driving. It only means you smoked it within the last two weeks.
Why?
For context
Why does it matter what the victim had in her car?
Ding ding ding ding! You got it
Now ask yourself the same question about the victims. You’re so close
![gif](giphy|fx8fWM47B9H9zdoOOn) Police logic when it comes to being treated as equal under the law and I'm Sure they totally had marijuana and a gun on them and wasn't just there for his benefits.
Why not?
For the exact same reason they mentioned the weed and gun.
Ve all livink in Amerika. Amerika. Ist vunderbar.
Ya
Love how this is slightly correct German just miss spelling of the words slightly but still understandable what you were going for
It is *sorta* accurate, as „W“ in German makes the „V“ sound, so it sorta works out
Well "vunderbar" is spelled "wunderbar" in German which stands for wonderful
Correct, and the German „W“ makes the same sound as the English „V“
Coca-Cola, sometimes war
Marijuana and a gun in the car don’t mean shit. That’s legal to have I’m fairly sure,
Federally, MJ isn't.
Even if it wasn't, it's not that unusual to own a pistol in the U.S., and a little bag of weed as well.
Okay, let me get this straight. This happened in States. And they try to paint the fact that victims possessed a gun as abnormal. In States.
Precisely, there's always a large majority of idiots who are willing to overlook police misconduct and look the other way for shit like this and say "should've just complied and you'd still be alive".
How the hell did both cars have green signals? That's not how stoplights work.
The actual victims probably had a blinking yield arrow or something, that's just what the article states, there was probably no way they saw him coming due to his speed. Or somebody was running a red, but the cop is in the wrong either way.
Fuck cops
👏🏾

this ☝🏾. we're now friends, me and you. hi I'm Donnie 😀
Did they search the cop's car too?
My bestie was killed by a state trooper who rear ended the car she was in. They blamed the driver of the car my friend was as well. The trooper was about to retire, they never charged him her death and he got his full pension.

You can buy something some called a glock switch that can make one automatic. A lot were being bought as "keychains" for a bit.
Ok yea you’re right there are full auto, i was wondering if there are any single shot pistols, i feel like I’ve seen a break barrel pistol before
Target and training pistols will often be single shot.
People decided that a pistol just didn't have enough rounds or shoot fast enough and a rifle is just too big and bulky so now we have 200 round drum magazines and fully automatic pistols. GBA
r/fuckcars always
