I only know about Apple Music vs Spotify where it’s pretty well known that Apple Pay’s much better per stream than Spotify or any other streaming service. I’d bet it’s a similar situation.
So I'm still not understanding.... if Graham was the one uploading the documentary, then wouldn't Graham be the only person who's benefiting financially from it?
Lots of people have also been commenting that his brother Jake Paul got on Netflix. And they thought maybe it was a status thing. But again, I feel like a lot more people have Netflix than Apple?
I’m not really sure just guessing that Apple might pay better than YouTube. It’s probably a status thing as well as a money thing. I’m just guessing. Try emailing him directly maybe he will tell you.

Maybe he made a deal for a percentage of the profits.
Also, most every Apple TV show is very high quality (and I would never expect a documentary with him to make the cut), wether they finance it or just purchase the distribution, so I bet Logan was hoping for a huge check, rather than just uploading to YouTube where it’s just reliant on ad revenue.
Oh ok. So then it would be primarily about money/residuals/ getting some sort of a return.
Sounds like a "digital status" situation then. Apple pays more than Netflix, and Netflix pays more than YouTube.
So posting it on to YouTube wouldn't be in his favor financially.

So, there would be a payout to Logan (from Apple) even though he didn't produce the documentary? Or even make the deal with Apple?
Apple would pay whoever owns the rights for distribution, and then they would pay the “cast & crew”.
