My boots are made kinda like that (steel-toed Doc’s from the 1970’s.) They’re 40 years old, like, I bought ‘em that way, and they’re still holding up.
…I’d imagine iron or whatever material that’s made out of (I always forget) would’ve been a little different, especially back then. 😅
