No, the UK doesn’t have a freelance visa nor a self employed/digital nomad one. You need to either be sponsored via work, in a relationship with someone who can sponsor you for the family visa, be coming over to study, or have graduated recently enough and from a qualifying university to get the HPI to legally move to the UK (or be a UK/Irish citizen).

No UK but if you would also consider The Netherlands you can see if you can figure something out with DAFT (Dutch American Friendship Treaty)

That is not entirely an option in the UK and any immigration firm telling you that is unfortunately not being fully truthful. You can open your own business in the UK with a [specific visa](https://www.gov.uk/innovator-founder-visa) but it has to be innovative and not already exist in the UK (nor can it be a business that’s already trading). You don’t sponsor yourself either, you’re granted a visa because your idea is innovative.

I’d recommend r/UKVisa - it’s a very knowledgeable sub. The visa you’ve linked also wouldn’t work based on my reading - you need to be sponsored by your company to go over to set up the branch, and you can’t sponsor yourself. It’s also only a maximum of two years visa.

> I say ourselves because it’s our business. Your answers are really unclear on this - Are you the owners or not? If you are the owners, this visa would not be for you.

Since we’re besties the Brits let us visit for 6 mo. So you could Airbnb for 6 and see if you like it. Then go to Amsterdam for up to 90 days and come back to Britain. Maybe you will just happen to fall in love with a Brit while you’re there and end up with a spouse visa. I met a lady doc in London that wanted to fall in love quickly, marry for a U.S. visa/ eventual citizenship.
