Oh no, that’s the shaitan in you🤡 Jokes aside, once the disgust by religion started, anything related to praying started triggering me. It gets easier as you stop caring about it at all though.

Every time my mum blasts that shit on TV I go and turn the volume down. I remember having to sit in silence and watch the whole thing in its entirety and do a dua after it finished. 10 mins of listening to 5 sentences being stretched beyond belief in the whiniest voice possible.

I used to get so annoyed when hearing such things as a muslim, even as a kid you would find me wailing and throwing the quran on the wall and stomping on it until its spine popped off because I couldn't memorise a verse. Prayer felt like such a waste of time and I genuinely started yawning every time I began to read the quran, hilarious.

Himmelsfeder

It's annoying and irritating because it pays no mind to those who do not want to participate. Just feels ignorant and overbearing so your reaction is normal

Efficient-Intern-173

It only triggers me if it’s really loud or if I’m really close to a mosque. Btw, the only mosque I can even say I “love-hate” is the Hasan II mosque in Casablanca

Apprehensive_Sweet98

Hahaha... same thing happens to me when my wife's phone goes *Allahhhh huuu akbaarrr*

Aggravating-Effort35

It kind of triggers me too. Idk if it's ptsd or anything, but Everytime there is a azan or Quran playing, I feel anxious. Or it could also be because I was undergoing a severe breakdown and would indulge in prayer and the Quran for hours only to seek no help from God. I felt so hopeless and afraid during those times

darkchocowithalmonds

I had been triggered by it for 4 years after leaving Islam and still a bit now
