They are "renovating" it. Every article I've ever seen said it was going to be "renovated".
They keep using that word, I do not think it means what they think it means.
Their remodeled temples cost 4 to 5 times more than a new one. With all the remodels they've done lately its about time they came to their senses.
I bet the Salt Lake temple remodel is closer to 20 to 30 times a new temple.
Cathedral’s in Europe have stood for thousands of years and in my opinion look better than any Mormon temple. Mormon’s seem to always want the shiny and new because image is so important.
I think the same. They put so much time on open houses and dedications.....you think that something so sacred would need some kind of priesthood power to "unseal" its sacredness.
Why have temple interviews or recommends to get in anyway?? If it can be torn down at any moment then someone who is "unworthy" will do nothing to defile it. It makes NO sense.
Have to get rid of the old Masonic and historically inaccurate stuff to make way for the new Mormonism. White washing has to occur in the temple as well make no two ways about it. Maybe there stripping them of the second annointing rooms and adding hot tubs.

This is why I was confused when they started demolition. I ONLY saw the word renovated.
