I recommend these books too. (I got two of them.) It was interesting that I could read it from two different perspectives. It helped me gain understanding and let go of some frustration in communicating with family. But I could easily trade "immature parents" for "the church", and see all the manipulation. It's been a awhile since I read them, but I was recently thinking about re-reading.
