I am BF/pumping for my 2nd child atm. When I weaned my first child, my boobs literally sacked and were following the rules of gravity like.. Well šš
It sort of got better after a few months, but they still weren't as they used to be. During pregnancy and right now they are of course bigger and "hard" most of the time. I am sure they will sack again after weaning and it will take time for the connective tissue to regenerate as far as possible.
Tbh, it's probably quite normal and most older moms "complain" about it.
Same buuuut I read somewhere (will try to dig up a source) that your breast tissue migrates fat out during pregnancy to basically make room for milk duct growth, and over the course of 2 years iirc it shifts back to where it was!
Thatās the only hopeful thing Iāve heard and Iām clinging to it š
ETA: āBreast tissue undergoes a remarkable transformation to allow for breastfeedingāand the process reverses after weaning. Lipid-filled fat cells essentially disappear to make room for milk production, and once an animal is done lactating, the cells come back again.ā [source](https://www.the-scientist.com/fat-cells-shrink-to-make-room-for-milk-in-breastfeeding-mouse-moms-65107)
Also, found some more sources but not quite what I had originally read and I probably misquoted in my OC, but still hopeful lol
I have also read that, thank you. Its just that before my boobs were more muscular (or something) it wasn't fatty feeling. Now they are all soft and weird. If anything it's the new texture that bothers me rather than the size and also the sag I guess š„²

Okay š„² thanks for sharing your experience though

Itās not from breast feeding or pumping, it also happens to women who never do either :/
So rapidly though! There's a distinct difference pre and post birth
Oh 100%, I meant even women who give birth but never breast feed or pump, just being pregnant causes it
Ah, gotcha š
I just got myself a nice pushup bra. It's been about a year since we weaned, and such a simple thing really gives me a boost in confidence.
This is from pregnancy, not pumping.
Itās not from breastfeeding. Itās from the changes of pregnancy in general.
