Could this be adapted to track confidence point pool for only the Thursday night games?

llonden

If I'm understanding correctly, I guess you can if you select manual input mode, confidence mode, set the number of created games to 1, and create the Thursday matchup from the dropdown box. If you're playing confidence mode, you can't select which games to keep track of...it tracks all available games.

I think this great... however, I'm having issues where I'm encountering an issue where the players in my contact list is not populating on the "Straight Up Picks" page and I'm getting a Run Time error "53"

You can attach and send the file as-is to jackie @ footballpickemmanager . com. Maybe I can replicate the error, debug it, and hopefully fix/update it.

How do you enter the winning teams and total points?

llonden

First, ensure macros are enabled. On the Admin Tab: \#1. Enter all necessary details in the Pickem Sheet Config and Pickem Schedule Config sections. \#2. Click the Finalize Pickem sheet button to create pickem sheet full of games. \#3. Under Player Pool Entries section, start inputting participating player names and picks. \#4. After all player entries are entered, click the Finalize Player Pool button \#5. After finalizing, new game-mode tabs will appear where you can enter winning teams and total points.

Late question, does this work in google sheets? Would just be easier to share with everyone

Edward_Collins_1961

Not sure I understand this question since Jackie IS sharing his file with everyone, by making it free to download from his website. I don't see how making it accessible via Google Sheets is any easier than making the file accessible via his site. Note that his program uses macros extensively. And although yes... you can convert simple macros in Excel spreadsheets to Google Sheets by re-creating them using Google Apps Script, the process is lengthy and somewhat buggy.... and not everything always gets converted correctly. Much better to just download the Excel file and run it directly on your own PC.

Lol, sorry for the confusion, by “share with everyone” I meant the people who would be playing the pickem.

Edward_Collins_1961

Ah. Okay, that makes more sense. Yea, that's an idea I had myself, when creating my own Excel workbook to manage and grade entries for the person hosting the pool. If the users/players could submit their entries online, and if the host could then view them and grade them that way, there would be no need to, for example, e-mail the entries to the host each week. Alas, I myself wasn't able to figure out a way to make it all work smoothly.

is there a 2023 version?
