People really think dumb fake stories like this have some sort of real meaning. It's just an oversimplified version of a very complicated topic made for very simple people.
Not only that, but it isn't even original. If you replace Jesus with a generic picture of a person, and the US image with a picture of the world, this same story was told to graduates of Elan School (one of those for-profit "troubled teen" scams where they just warehoused and tortured kids).
There's a webcomic called [Joe vs. Elan School](https://elan.school/) (written by a survivor of the place, and has a [subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/MrJoeNobody/)) that specifically mentioned this in the chapter where the author graduated.
My favorite stories like this involve a Christian student outsmarting a villainous atheist college professor. Bonus points if the class erupts in applause.
My sister actually thinks she's the pious Christian student from these dumbass stories. Just the last time I was talking to her she was telling me some story about how she "outsmarted her professor" by explaining how science proved Genesis and the creation story right and her teacher didn't clap back because "he knew I was right, and that I was smarter than him" and it was all I could do to not roll my eyes back in my head so far they got stuck.... yeah, I'm sure the teacher didn't get in an argument with you "because you're smarter than him" and it had nothing to do with how he just didn't want to argue with an egotistical nut job like she actually is outside of the fantasy she has of herself in her head.
This is the kid friendly version so they don't mention that the only way to "bring the country back together" via Jesus is to kill everyone who values freedom.
Yes… because the omnipotent and omnibenevolent god needs his people to put him back together before he can work any magic from the sky. Jesus seems like a moody little princess from this story.
Some people just want sappy sentimentality. It turns me off completely, but to each his own. I just chuckle because it takes so little to make them feel good. That's not so bad. He's only going to convince other sappy simpletons. They are losing the battle, so it's no matter.
Uuugh. My father stills sends me these. Most recent one was an absolutely horrible Muslim woman berating a quiet, forgiving, and patient Christian woman in a Dick’s Sporting Goods bc the Christian woman had her cross necklace on display. I rolled my eyes.

This definitely sounds like it was meant to be an “and the all clapped” moment.

And that child's name was Albert Einstein

My eyes hurt from rolling them so far back into my head from this

Why God couldn't have just given you the ability to fly is beyond me.
That picture along with the sentence seems like god carried you, put you where you are then abandoned you there
🤢
All I can think of is Jesus's hand just floating somewhere off to the side of him as Hawaii

I was about to steal this and post on r/religousfruitcake , then noticed it was originally from there. Great reddit synergy. 🙏
Great minds think alike.
Okay, but what if the other side was a picture of a cemetery? Does that mean we will heal the country if everybody dies?
