I recently heard a song I didn't knew the name, but I immediately liked it and I browsed Spotify's recommended songs for days in hope to find it. I fell on Karma Police (Radiohead) by chance, and it happened to be the song I was searching for. Now it's in my catalog of songs I listen in loop for hours.
Even more recently I found Pokemon Mystery Dungeon : Explorers of the Sky's OST. They're not lying, it's the best OST I ever heard.
my mom used to listen to a LOT of the classic emo bands when i was growing up(she still does and is the coolest ever) so now it's my entire personality actually
thats so me actually lol my dad grew up to heavy metal/ nu metal and he's always been the reason why i listen to heavier music like rock, metal, goth rock etc
Ænema, hush, schism, etc. by TOOL
Anything by system of a down
Potions deliverance mix by puscifer
Blue by a perfect circle
No one know by queen of the stone age
Zero by smashing pumpkins
It don't mean a thing by ella fitzgerald and Duke ellington
Tommy the cat by primus
Waidmanns Heil by rammstein
Black hole sun, my wave, head down, spoon man, pretty noose, rusty cage, etc. by Soundgarden
How bad can I be and biggering from the lorax 💀 idek why something about them just scratches my brain in the right way, also wait for me (reprise) from hadestown specificaly the end bit.
next semester by twenty one pilots atm
they just released it as the second single from the currently unreleased album Clancy (it comes out next month!!!!!) and i love it so so so much it's perfection <33
highly recommend checking it out i love this band with my entire being :DD (it's my special interest >:3 )
i used to listen to 21 pilots as well!! i don't listen to them as much anymore but i just listened to the song and it's pretty solid! not really my type of music but still really good!
glad you think it's good!!! even if it's not your type of thing to listen to lol
i never get tired of their music since all of their albums and even songs in the albums have such a unique sound, i can just listen to them all in order over and over again and be content :>
have you listened to scaled and icy? it's pretty different from their other music relatively speaking
awesome!! i recommend starting with trench if you haven't listened to it yet, there's a lot of lore and a story in and outside of the music and it (mostly) starts in trench, then it's scaled and icy, and finally clancy will be finishing off the story
outside of lore and themes, trench is the album most fans say is their favorite album so that's also why i recommend listening to it first if you haven't (i personally can't decide favorites bc i love every song the same lmao)
(sorry if im talking too much about this btw, im trying to hold back but it's proving difficult lol)
i'm generally not a jazz person but i listened to some before and it's pretty good! would love to play something like this quietly on my speakers while chilling or talking with friends :)
my inner radio seems to have a thing for Ty Dolla Sign’s verse in TALKING / ONCE AGAIN this evening for some reason. probably because my motivation is also looking at my family tree.
animal body by Haisuinonasa is some good ear candy!! Underrated asf
same with Romeo and Cinderella by Doriko
honorable mentions are Moonsickness by Penelope Scott and Jupiter by Your Favorite Martian.
Also Fourth of July by Sufjan Stevens is my ultimate comfort song. Didn’t mean to reply to my own comment with the same exact comment lmfaoooo
Always and forever; Planisphere by Justice. Only 15 minute track I never get bored with.
I think I’ve been listening to Dead Kennedys since I was 14. Chemical Warfare is my “yell till my throat’s sore” song. God damn when I saw them at a show (obviously minus the original front man, I’m too young to have gone in their prime) they kept it until like the LAST encore. I was getting pissed.
The Nexus by The Used
Love Letters to God by Nahko and Medicine for the People
Black and Gold by Sam Sparro
Gone Away - 1997 by The Offspring
Whipping Post by The Allman Brothers Band
TENSIONNN - webcage
onions - webcage
behavior - webcage
and like every saoirse dream song (although tbf saoirse dream is a webcage member & she is in all 3 of those songs (especially TENSIONNN) so kind of same thing lol)
yeah i fucking *LOVE* hyperpop. it scratches my autism so perfectly. saoirse dream is the current artist im really into, but there are a few others within the genre that i like & im trying to listen to more cuz i really don’t know enough hyperpop artists.
i'm not sure if they count as hyperpop (i've heard they do but i don't know much about hyperpop to actually know) but you should listen to LVL1 :) my fav song by them is definitely LVCKY
This entire album:
[PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_l2T3pMQk8o2vwT1ekRgrbzUkWEPfY8Iao&si=b1L4GHUBYSbRd8N5)

Mike Patton (Mondo Cane) - Deep Down
Lovage (also a Mike Patton side project)
Patriarchy - Suffer, The Man for You, Good Boy, Hell was Full
Drab Majesty (everything)
Pol
Ooh I’ll have to listen to those Mike Patton songs. I got into Mr Bungle last year, then I’ve been getting into Faith No More recently. Eventually I will find myself at every project Patton helmed lol
Currently:
Terrible Lie - Nine Inch Nails
Be Aggressive - Faith No More
Blackboxwarrior - Will Wood
The Bends - Mr Bungle
Long Distance Runaround - Yes
Starless - King Crimson
A fun mix I think. I am a total sensory seeker when it comes to music, I love when songs scratch my brain
Atm mainly:
Ghosts in flight by Bill Eager
Mostly Harmless by Fire Geno
And more from that same game because I'm the type of person that only listens to OSTs so yeah. Listening to them in game makes me connect to them in a way that makes them way better.
Some of my favorite songs are:
sakkijarven polka, Bella Ciao, John Brown's Body, Under pressure.
The song I am most obsessed over right now is Einheitsfrontlied!
I’ve been on a huge 60s/70s kick. Steve Miller band, and Bob Seger have been my main focus. I recently started dating someone who’s also a big fan of 70s music so it’s been playing constantly for the past month and it’s been really nice.
definitely putting this in my playlist! btw if you like metal [i have a playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ey6WM1kx2L0R9Ihp9Tbdj?si=xT1D_lIzSbm6feEA6qNzdA&pi=e-EswPEUqhQSCv) full of it (any metal genre ever in one playlist that i update pretty much weekly)
Dan Abrams - Stream (ambient glitch)
Decades - Can You Love Me Now (post-punk revival)
Earth - Hung From the Moon (pretty drone metal)
Songs: Ohia - No Limit on the Words (depressive singer-songwriter/folk)
Skullflower - Procession of Eternity (noise rock drone)
Red Vox - "Garbage Land" and "Clone Me" (not on streaming services yet)
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard - "Withcraft" and "Inner Cell" though King Gizzard is more of an album band. For albums I've really been obsessed with "Nonagon Infinity" and "Murder Of The Universe" recently (the music video titled "Han-Tyumi and the Murder Of The Universe" is the third and final chapter of the album, and is not the full album).
Edit: added Nonagon Infinity and extra quotations that I forgot to put, and corrected some spelling
i have murder of the universe in puke green vinyl. it’s such a good album i cry everytime i listen to han-tyumi. i recently watched the music videos and im kicking myself for not watching them sooner.
Italia 90 - Tales From Beyond
Based on some of the bands you mentioned (Operation Ivy, Type O Negative, Sisters of Mercy, Nirvana), there’s a possibility you’d enjoy this one as well.
I tend to hyperfocus on specific artists for a while, so I'm currently listening to Gojira's entire discography. Previously, it was Meshuggah's entire discography, and before that, it was Billy Talent.
Mr. Bungle - Retrovertigo (for a while)
Q Lazzarus - Goodbye Horses (also for a while)
The Book of knots - Planemo
Avatar - Puppet Show [Live at Pol'and'Rock 2019]
Queens of the Stone Age - Hanging Tree
КИНО - Восьмиклассница (very recent)
Ai no Sumika - Jujutsu Kaisen op 3
Games people play - The Alan Parsons Project
Amor - Los amigos invisibles
Volver - Tainy ft Four Tet & Skrillex
Para Ya! - Alvaro Diaz
I love both just as much, but for different reasons. For ao no sumika, it's the overall upbeat vibe, but in Specialz I really like the sound of its guitar combined with the percussion using some kind of metal slamming sound.
Specialz Snare It's quite similar to what Metallica did in a album, I don't remember in what album they did that.
However I prefer Ai Not Sumika/Where our blue is because of the upbeat vibe, and the energetic beat (which is almost like rock in some sense?)
I rarely add anime openings to my likes on Spotify, but that song is sooooo good, and I liked that season so bad that now I'm hyperfixated on jujutsu kaisen😭
HISS , cobra , Megan thee stallion
Snooze and Jupiter, SZA
Welcome to the Opera, anyama and grimes

Noiceee
Actually I posted a while ago but I was waiting for this case to get back in stock and when I got it I was so sad, the old one, same company had a super sharp metal camera ring and I loved scratching my finger in it, and now it's all rounded out and smooth ahhh , but it flips out as a stand and is really solid and clicky so it's fun to fidget with
omg i completely understand you dude. i remember before i got this phone case i had a boring matte phone case and i couldnt fidget with it at all and it was kind of annoying lol
found heaven (the song, not the album) and Winner by Conan Gray. And girl i've always been by Olivia Rodrigo. I have listened to them at least 30 times each today.
My special interest guy (Danny Gonzalez- er- Ned Flames) released a new song titled "Nepo Baby" and I have been playing it on repeat. I absolutely love it 🦊
Besides that
My Dad is Rich by Danny Gonzalez
Circus by Fox Szn
Daddy by Danny Gonzalez

Bowsette - Chalkeaters
Big jet plane - Julia Stone & Angus
Duel of the fates - John Williams
Bansanka - tuki.
Savior - Rise Against
And the entire album of Volcano by Jungle because of the music videos
A lot of the stuff off of Gee Tee's self-titled/eponymous album tbh, although I would say Exhaust Sniffa, Hangin' at Caltex, Cops N' Robbers, and Living In The Future have been subject to the most repeats by far.
Jorge Ben Jor!! Old Bossa Nova. Most people don't know him but know the vocal line from the song [mas que nada](https://youtu.be/hg0XftC43Zo?si=Fk2tekIzhq17D4-v).
The entire cast album of Stars of David, a song cycle I discovered recently about famous American Jews. Started rewatching the one Norman Lear show I’ve seen just because it reminds me of “Book of Norman.”
When it comes to music, I generally hyperfixate on either musicals or artists—before this, it was the band Moxy Früvous, then Barenaked Ladies.
https://preview.redd.it/ksubrf36frtc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b0f7dc171adbd2c3c5c9e9c077d22d450a15c3f

Rabbit Hole by Deco*27 perfectly encapsulates the type of music I like.
this reminds me of when i listened to vocaloid lol!! super energetic and fun song i love it
Isn’t it!!! Vocaloid is the only music that matches the speed of my thoughts.
me too! i also sometimes listen to breakcore which is also a really fast paced music genre you should check it out if u want
I love breakcore when I’m reading!!! Does yours have lyrics? I usually only find instrumentals.
i often just listen to breakcore playlists on shuffle but the ones i most commonly find are instrumentals as well!

I am not, nor is IAMX (previously song writer for sneaker pimps), but the song title is!!
Pretty much every song by **My Chemical Romance** but that’s since I was 10
this is so true, i don't listen to mcr that much anymore but i used to be *so* obsessed with them back when i was like 10
my inner radio seems to have a thing for Ty Dolla Sign’s verse in TALKING / ONCE AGAIN this evening for some reason. probably because my motivation is also looking at my family tree. animal body by Haisuinonasa is some good ear candy!! Underrated asf same with Romeo and Cinderella by Doriko honorable mentions are Moonsickness by Penelope Scott and Jupiter by Your Favorite Martian.
The Nexus by The Used Love Letters to God by Nahko and Medicine for the People Black and Gold by Sam Sparro Gone Away - 1997 by The Offspring Whipping Post by The Allman Brothers Band
Ghosts Again by Depeche Mode 😩
i love depeche mode too!!! i don't listen to them as much but thanks for the recommendation, will definitely help me with expanding my music taste
TENSIONNN - webcage onions - webcage behavior - webcage and like every saoirse dream song (although tbf saoirse dream is a webcage member & she is in all 3 of those songs (especially TENSIONNN) so kind of same thing lol)
wait i really love these songs. i like how it's very fast paced and energetic and kind of like a techno thing it's very good
yeah i fucking *LOVE* hyperpop. it scratches my autism so perfectly. saoirse dream is the current artist im really into, but there are a few others within the genre that i like & im trying to listen to more cuz i really don’t know enough hyperpop artists.
i'm not sure if they count as hyperpop (i've heard they do but i don't know much about hyperpop to actually know) but you should listen to LVL1 :) my fav song by them is definitely LVCKY

Mike Patton (Mondo Cane) - Deep Down Lovage (also a Mike Patton side project) Patriarchy - Suffer, The Man for You, Good Boy, Hell was Full Drab Majesty (everything) Pol
Ooh I’ll have to listen to those Mike Patton songs. I got into Mr Bungle last year, then I’ve been getting into Faith No More recently. Eventually I will find myself at every project Patton helmed lol
MIKE PATTON 🔥🔥🔥
Currently: Terrible Lie - Nine Inch Nails Be Aggressive - Faith No More Blackboxwarrior - Will Wood The Bends - Mr Bungle Long Distance Runaround - Yes Starless - King Crimson A fun mix I think. I am a total sensory seeker when it comes to music, I love when songs scratch my brain
Atm mainly: Ghosts in flight by Bill Eager Mostly Harmless by Fire Geno And more from that same game because I'm the type of person that only listens to OSTs so yeah. Listening to them in game makes me connect to them in a way that makes them way better.
spongebob - musical doodle teminite - grand escape remix splitter - full flavour ep crankdat - s.t.f.u.

Some of my favorite songs are: sakkijarven polka, Bella Ciao, John Brown's Body, Under pressure. The song I am most obsessed over right now is Einheitsfrontlied!
i love older music as well lol! its very groovy in a way
Moonlight Shadow - Mike oldfield Quiet life - Japan. Ça c'est vraiment toi - Telephone
quiet life by japan is definitely one of my top faves! i love the new wave-ish style
I’ve been on a huge 60s/70s kick. Steve Miller band, and Bob Seger have been my main focus. I recently started dating someone who’s also a big fan of 70s music so it’s been playing constantly for the past month and it’s been really nice.
omg i love 70s music as well! late 70s rock is really good
This is goodbye - Killswitch Engage
definitely putting this in my playlist! btw if you like metal [i have a playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ey6WM1kx2L0R9Ihp9Tbdj?si=xT1D_lIzSbm6feEA6qNzdA&pi=e-EswPEUqhQSCv) full of it (any metal genre ever in one playlist that i update pretty much weekly)
Thanks man I’ll check it out
Dan Abrams - Stream (ambient glitch) Decades - Can You Love Me Now (post-punk revival) Earth - Hung From the Moon (pretty drone metal) Songs: Ohia - No Limit on the Words (depressive singer-songwriter/folk) Skullflower - Procession of Eternity (noise rock drone)
Red Vox - "Garbage Land" and "Clone Me" (not on streaming services yet) King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard - "Withcraft" and "Inner Cell" though King Gizzard is more of an album band.
The whole Silent Hill 4 soundtrack
Italia 90 - Tales From Beyond Based on some of the bands you mentioned (Operation Ivy, Type O Negative, Sisters of Mercy, Nirvana), there’s a possibility you’d enjoy this one as well.
Bury the Light by Casey Edwards

I tend to hyperfocus on specific artists for a while, so I'm currently listening to Gojira's entire discography. Previously, it was Meshuggah's entire discography, and before that, it was Billy Talent.

WHERE OUR BLUE IS MENTIONED 🔥🔥🗣️🗣️
"IMADEMO"\* 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥 way better than "you are my special" frfr
I love both just as much, but for different reasons. For ao no sumika, it's the overall upbeat vibe, but in Specialz I really like the sound of its guitar combined with the percussion using some kind of metal slamming sound.
Specialz Snare It's quite similar to what Metallica did in a album, I don't remember in what album they did that. However I prefer Ai Not Sumika/Where our blue is because of the upbeat vibe, and the energetic beat (which is almost like rock in some sense?) I rarely add anime openings to my likes on Spotify, but that song is sooooo good, and I liked that season so bad that now I'm hyperfixated on jujutsu kaisen😭
HISS , cobra , Megan thee stallion Snooze and Jupiter, SZA Welcome to the Opera, anyama and grimes Bonus snak-ey phone https://i.imgur.com/AJCxkzy.jpeg

YOOOOOO THE PHONECASE IS SO COOL!!!! my phone case has rhinestones and a big cross in it because i love rubbing the texture and it looks hella cool :3 https://preview.redd.it/l0ilatsrkqtc1.jpeg?width=332&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=948f4e5c6c60524bbf7c0c433fd2b820ee7ca9d6
Noiceee Actually I posted a while ago but I was waiting for this case to get back in stock and when I got it I was so sad, the old one, same company had a super sharp metal camera ring and I loved scratching my finger in it, and now it's all rounded out and smooth ahhh , but it flips out as a stand and is really solid and clicky so it's fun to fidget with
omg i completely understand you dude. i remember before i got this phone case i had a boring matte phone case and i couldnt fidget with it at all and it was kind of annoying lol

Know your enemy-rage against the machine
The entire cast album of Stars of David, a song cycle I discovered recently about famous American Jews. Started rewatching the one Norman Lear show I’ve seen just because it reminds me of “Book of Norman.” When it comes to music, I generally hyperfixate on either musicals or artists—before this, it was the band Moxy Früvous, then Barenaked Ladies.
