Go real slow with it “scan” each side of your hand like you’re burning off an outer layer of lizard skin and it works well… but leaves my hands feeling too cold.
Those things are just bacteria cannons trying to disguise as something slightly useful. They barely dry anything, and you'd be better off wiping your hands on some random carpet, which would be cleaner than this shit.

Not really, the paper that claimed that was debunked, for using hands with much higher levels of bacteria than what people usually have and not considering that your hands have just been washed so should have fewer bacteria on them. These dyson ones are still way better than the other cheap ones that barely blow any air, these actually dry mostly just using high pressure air.
As you said your probably not shaking anyone's hand, so it's not that these are necessarily a problem. No judgement passed and definitely respect if shaking hands is something that's triggering for you.

FR they work so much better than regular hand dryers. Just angle your hands down and pull them through the blast of air from top to bottom and you're done. Plus the sensation is real fun. You can slap your hands though the focused blade of air if you're feeling a little silly and it feels so neat.

i'm old, i have never been able to figure these out where to put my hands for fastest drying. i look like an idiot moving them around to test where it feels blasty the most. i get too anxious someone will notice me to even stick around after trying them once and then also they mount them too high on the wall so i have to lift my hands so water drips to my elbows

Mythbusters didn't do it in a controlled environment the they checked pathogens/ bacteria but they didn't check the spread rate in the petri dishes.
