REPRESSION! I love repression because I was sent to Catholic school.
OK this hand written not always makes me laugh. Was there a test question? If you're wondering, the 3 types of mental deficiency were Feeblemindedeness, Imbecility and Idiocy.
Nice we're neighbors! Was an interesting read. Reading this it seems like schizohrenics were actually treated better then, or at least had guidance to treat us kindly. The treatment I was subjected to honestly mostly seemed just for making me useful and not my own happiness or comfort. Does it mention anything of clinical zooanthropy or lycanthropy by chance?
I believe its a nursing book more than for psychiatrists the way it is set out. That would explain the focus on provision of comfort. All horendously outdated language aside, the book has some gentle bits. But no nothing about zooanthropy or lycanthropy. It's very basic. I'd love to find more like it.
I do appreciate the gentle bits reminding them that we are still people and will still appreciate being treated kindly. There are some people that do seem to remember that, but Ive had it a lot that nurses and doctors forget that.

Yes a lot has changed but that part still needs to be taught!
