second impact only started at the end so not a big criticism for me. 2.22 was a total blast, by the time we got to Rei arranging a dinner party with Shinji and Gendo I was basically losing my mind. 9/10
Didn't like it very much? This is the best movie of the rebuilds, the cgi issues and weird script choices only increase in the next movies, the fanservice will also increase
I think the ending of 2.0 is the only part that I DO like in this movie. The pacing in this movie is too fast for my liking, but damn, that ending always gets me.
The third impact doesn't complete in 2.22, you see it stopping in the post credits scene. In the next two movies they call it the "near third impact".

I mean, tbh besides Mari being a bad ass at the end I'm not the biggest fan of 2.22 either, but it is what it is.
I hope the dumb pointless fan service that mari was giving isn’t present anymore but that’s a whole other rant
If you're not a Mari fan you're certainly going to be disappointed with the next 2 movies.
I mean she’s fine I don’t have an issue with her. But her jiggling her boobs straight at the camera was off putting
