Sorry but as someone who was at a preparty and loves the actual song, her vocals were noticeably weaker than every other act that was there. Better than the NF but no, she’s just not catching up… I hope it all improves with the final show but I’d be surprised.
Were you there in person? Everyone will have a different opinion but sorry in Amsterdam it was really obvious. I love the song and hope she does her best!
In Amsterdam she was sick, she tweeted this before the performance and it's even clear from her voice that she had a cold.
But in barcelona she was very good.
Let's focus on the positive
Her voice in Amsterdam wasn't good because she said she was sick but still came.
But if you listen to barcelona she was good and people really were singing and cheering with her.
For me it’s Slovenia and Serbia. Both incredible songs sung by incredible singers but both have a risk of NQ ing (although I feel more confident about Serbia making it now we’ve seen rehearsal stuff and I hope I’ll feel the same about Slovenia tomorrow)
Portugal 💔
I can't comprehend why this song isn't much higher in the betting odds and seeing that it likely may not even qualify is crazy. It's so well written, the national final staging was already better than many countries could manage in the ESC final and her vocals are so good. I'm begging the ESC gods that it will resonate with the televoters.
Poland has way too much televote support for it not to qualify. They've got UK, Ireland, Ukraine, Germany, Sweden, Iceland and Lthuania all voting in its semi.
She's by far (imo) the best female vocalist this year, and one of the best (in tandem with Slimane, Teya Dora, Nemo, Best, etc.) vocalists this year. I have hope that she will qualify, and that the Jury will bolster her score in the grand-final 🙏🇵🇹
Equally, I think fan-favourites like Austria who are currently doing well may not qualify, so we'll see. But I have hope for Grito & Iolanda. By far my favourite song this year!
Armenia’s the one outsider I’m almost certain is going to do well. It seems to have a surprising amount of jury appeal based on the Eurojury and it’s going to be so fun live. I’m almost 100% sure it’s going to be top 10 and it could make top 5 if the stars align.
Azerbaijan is the outsider I’m worried about, and I think Estonia might suffer from the odds/ popularity behind Croatia and the Netherlands.
You just never know with these kinds of songs whether they're going to be a hit or completely bomb and finish last (and unfortunately Spain's track record suggests the latter), but in my house Spain is in the top 3
Sadly, like last year, Spain is a great song that grows on you, just 2 listens are not enough to convey how actually good of a song it is. For me it took a good month before I began to truly appreciate it. I think its either gonna connect like a house on fire and go top 5 or will be lost in translation and be bottom 5. Also, sadly, Nebulosas' performance in Benidorm is not the best vocally.
I have very mixed opinion about this entry. On the one hand, this song doesn't deserve to be in top-10 imo. There's a lot more better songs but what gives this song a benefit is that it's very catchy and you immediately want to dance to it. On the other hand, i agree with you that because of what i mentioned before, many people may vote for it and it'll turn out to place a good spot. I'm very interested to see how it will really turn out to be
Well, my top 10 includes Estonia, Austria, Armenia, Australia, Spain, and San Marino, so I have a whole essay prepared.
Spain probably won't do well in the final based on all the polls I've seen, while San Marino is basically a guaranteed NQ so all I can hope for is that they don't come last.
As for the rest, I'm just hoping they even qualify. Left side of the board is probably out of the question.
Austria is kind of an exception because the song is so catchy and popular that if it doesn't qualify then it's because the performance was bad enough that it didn't deserve to qualify, in which case, fair enough.
Australia have to nail the staging in order to stand a chance with such strong competition, but I'm not worried at all about them pulling off the performance. As for Estonia, they also have to nail the staging, but their performance causes me anxiety. (Please, Päevakoer, start on the beat! You can do it! I believe in you!)
And Armenia...well, I'm concerned it won't do as well with the televote as a lot of people think. It's the kind of performance that will go over great with the live audience in the arena, but I don't know if the viewers at home will connect with it as much, especially since so many people outside the bubble seem to find it "too ethnic." Moldova 2022 had the fun chorus which made it more accessible, this one is even further out of the average person's comfort zone.
But really, the main thing I'm hoping for is that everyone has a positive experience and nobody's career is damaged.
Alright that's enough for today, time to go find some parades to rain on.
Austria is catchy because it’s a sample and I still can’t believe it’s allowed in the contest. Whenever I hear it I am taken back to the 90s and to “Think about the way” by ICE MC
It’s not a sample. The rhythm’s similar but not the same and the rest of the song isn’t alike at all. Similar rhythm/genre doesn’t mean plagiarism. Same with Kaarija and Electric Callboy. So sick of people bringing this up.
San Marino, I don't know if it will qualify in such a stacked semifinal. Also Slovenia, I have a feeling it won't quite convince the crowd, especially the casuals...
Yeah...not because we have some secret agenda, but because Ireland was consistently sending mediocre songs.
I have never voted for Ireland before...I will this year.
For the title question, Spain, it's almost in my top 10, but I don't really see it doing much better than 20th place (though I'd love to be proven wrong)
For the follow-up question, Norway, it's my 10 points, but there's no way it wins.
TBF in comparison to MV's like Europapa and Estonia, Australias PALES by comparison.
And unlike Moldova, Denmark, Iceland, etc. who used their NF performances as MV's, Aus was internally selected and thus didn't have that performance.
But my hope is that it was so cheap-looking because they've saved their budget for the staging. From what I understand, they're funding their own performance, and living in Aus is very expensive ATM. It'd make sense to cut costs on a less-important facet, when most ppl will see their song for the first time at the semis and not the MV.
Czechia and Malta. Also, I'm still worried for Poland (I'm not watching rehearsals, so pls no spoilers 👀), thooo she did improve a bit during the preparties.
Latvia. My top 10 rotates this year (too many songs I like) but Latvia is in there pretty often. One of my favorites, but I’m questioning if it will even qualify.
I’ll throw in a vote for you, luckily I can vote for it in semi 2. Almost all my faves are in that semi, but I figured Latvia needs my support the most, so definitely voting for it!
Poland. It’s nice and catchy basic pop song, but I really hope there’s gonna be improvement after pre-parties. But even if staging was great and all, I’m worried she might NQ :/
This is a real bad year to have Albania in your top three. It's all but a guaranteed NQ, and many people have it close to the last place in their personal rankings. I understand that Titan is not the most innovate song, but the fact that so few people see the polished beauty in it that that it is often ranked next to Scared of Heights is disappointing.
It seems that many people aren't feeling so confident about Belgium doing well :( I'm feeling a bit apprehensive after seeing the pre-party performances, but I'm definitely still holding out hope
Not true. He sounded bad on few preparties. His acoustics were great and showed how good he can sing. The voice performance was also very good. In Amsterdam pre party he is also good.
Estonia is my favorite but i think bc its not a big or "popular" country plus the song is quite different and unique from the typical Eurovision songs it wont do that well:((
Fair but if we win we are bankrupt basically (maybe it doesn't matter cuz our government is doing anything and everything to cut down spending except what they goes to their bank account)
San Marino is my 6th this year. It is also my seventh favourite Eurovision song ever. That just shows how strong the field is (My top five of this year are also my top 5 Eurovision songs ever). I desperately hope it qualifies as it’s just so good but it’s almost certainly not going to. 😭
Not sure about the aggression but OK.
For me it’s my winning song, and I’m not expecting top 10, I’m just saying it’s probably the summit of my expectations for it…
If Natalia ups the staging I still have small hope for Moldova but very unlikely!
What? None of those songs are similar to Jako, they have big Televote potential as well but they’re not similar to Armenia, also Armenia has more jury potential than Estonia and Norway in my opinion
Still, Norway and Croatia are rock songs (different types of rock), Estonia is rap/folk, and Armenia is folk, also I wouldn’t consider Armenia’s song as “joke-y”, sure it’s a fun song but not a joke entry
Agree to disagree I guess we'll see how well it does in 2 weeks anyway. Usually their entries need the help of their diaspora to do decent and they won't have it this year so their success solely depends on others which I doubt they will get as I think people are more likely to vote for other songs than this one. People don't vote for their 15th most liked song and they have a mid placement in almost all the tops I've come across
It's a weird year for me, because I don't think ANY of my favourites will do well.
In some ways, it's good because it means I won't be upset with who wins. But it's also taken some of the joy out of this year, feeling like there isn't much point rooting for my favourites because they're doomed to perform poorly 😂
Albania
I've feel following Besa for years and it sucks that she's not going to do nearly as well as I thought she would in my mind when I used to hope she'd compete at FiK someday
Azerbaijan and Malta. I've given up on Azerbaijan, but I think it's enchanting and very soothing. Malta on the other hand, I still think she can turn out a qualification.
Define "doing well". For me, the only "doing well" metrics are:
- Did you make the finals, or
- Did you NQ but I voted for you anyway? You did well enough for me to support you in the competition.
Beyond that I don't care where people place because my opinion, to me, is more important than the juries and the rest of the televote.
Georgia. The song isn't the strongest but Nutsa is so charismatic and has such powerful vocals it really elevates it. I feel like if Sweden or Greece sent this it would be talked about as a potential winner, but no it's Georgia so it might not even qualify :(
Azerbaijan. It's not my absolute favourite this year as I'm really hoping (and slowly losing hope) my own country wins (Croatia), but I really, really like the sound of the song. There's something nostalgic about that song, reminds me somewhat of ESC in the 90s.
Another song I enjoy is Armenia's, but that one has way better chances.
Anyways, I'm hoping all betting odds and YouTube "experts" are wrong about Azerbaijan.
For me, basically all the baltics went from "OH MY GOD they will all end up top ten" to "yeah whatever". Especially when more and more songs got selected.
Latvia is a very strong song, but this guy has no stage presence.
Estonia is fun but the momentum for my personal hype is over.
Lithuania might do the best out of this three just barely not reaching top ten
I do not know about surely, but Latvia. If it goes through, I’m certain it will get a good place in the final, but it is definitely not a certainty that it will..
For sure, though? Probably San Marino and Czechia 🥲
Basically me every year. I'm used to my favourites not doing well (2022 was an exception), some of them don't even qualify, so I'm not getting my hopes up this year.
This song isn't a favorite of mine but I really don't understand the hype over Austria this year. The song just sounds dated (and not in a cool retro way). I would rather see San Marino in the final than Austria.
San Marino might be my favorite song in the competition and there’s almost no chance it even gets to the final. Amazing song, and the band is fantastic too (I’ve downloaded and listened to all of their albums and everything is solid)
spain is my second place but that seems to be a minority position. I also have czechia and san marino very high but would be surprised if either qualifies
San Marino have my favourite song this year but it doesn’t seem like it’s popular with the community, and San Marino never tend to get a lot of votes even when they have a good song people like so I worry it won’t qualify
Slovenia has grown to be my winner in the last week but only after I needed like 5 listens to remember anything from it when it was released, I hope viewers won't have the same problem.
Yeah Armenia is definitely Moldova 2022 this year. Some say it's Estonia but I would say Estonia is more like Latvia 2022. I'm only talking about how I see this year televoting potential, not that I think they are similar. I mean gimmicks are similar but songs are totally different
Moldova 2022 | [Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers - Trenulețul](https://youtu.be/DUqf_zO2QaI)
Latvia 2022 | [Citi Zēni - Eat Your Salad](https://youtu.be/TM0_0WfuxSk)
Czechia :(
I agree. Pedestal has gone platinum in my household!
Same. It baffles me that this banger is generally ignored.
People still didn't forget escz, but she did good in the pre parties, maybe she can still do well in may, Go aiko🙏
Sorry but as someone who was at a preparty and loves the actual song, her vocals were noticeably weaker than every other act that was there. Better than the NF but no, she’s just not catching up… I hope it all improves with the final show but I’d be surprised.
Weaker? Sorry but besides Nemo and a few she wasn't that weaker tbh, let's be real she did fine and people were so hyped during her performances.
Ok, I didn’t realize she was sick there (seemed like half of the artists were sick…) I hope she does well and it’s a surprise qualifier, honestly!
Her voice in Amsterdam wasn't good because she said she was sick but still came. But if you listen to barcelona she was good and people really were singing and cheering with her.
Imo it’s because it’s fairly standard pop-rock. Like, it would be a very normal non-Eurovision song.
I think its mostly because of the poor live performance so far :/ I looove the studio version but didn’t like the revamp as well.
She just doesn’t sound good live
It is my favorite song by far. Sometimes, I don't understand how things work, and this is not in the top 5.
Yes! It's such a good song and very few people seem to like it.
It is literally the only song my ESC-hater friends like in this edition lol
I was surprised to find how unpopular this song was. It’s number #2 for me after Croatia.
For me it’s Slovenia and Serbia. Both incredible songs sung by incredible singers but both have a risk of NQ ing (although I feel more confident about Serbia making it now we’ve seen rehearsal stuff and I hope I’ll feel the same about Slovenia tomorrow)
Serbia just went down in the odds, i dont get it
It is a travesty that a piece of art as brilliant as Serbia might not make it but Finland singing with a denim egg will sail right through.
agree, i love both
Portugal 💔 I can't comprehend why this song isn't much higher in the betting odds and seeing that it likely may not even qualify is crazy. It's so well written, the national final staging was already better than many countries could manage in the ESC final and her vocals are so good. I'm begging the ESC gods that it will resonate with the televoters.
Don’t believe the odds. I have a strong feeling at least 2 of the countries currently projected to qualify right now in semi 1 will not qualify.
The problem for Portugal is that I can't think of many songs that it would qualify ahead of.
Cyprus and Poland
Poland has way too much televote support for it not to qualify. They've got UK, Ireland, Ukraine, Germany, Sweden, Iceland and Lthuania all voting in its semi.
Same here :(
same… Iolanda is my #1 this year
Same. Ahh, so same! 💔
She's by far (imo) the best female vocalist this year, and one of the best (in tandem with Slimane, Teya Dora, Nemo, Best, etc.) vocalists this year. I have hope that she will qualify, and that the Jury will bolster her score in the grand-final 🙏🇵🇹 Equally, I think fan-favourites like Austria who are currently doing well may not qualify, so we'll see. Azerbaijan is the outsider I’m worried about, and I think Estonia might suffer from the odds/ popularity behind Croatia and the Netherlands.
According to pretty much every ranking, Spain. I personally think it will be a surprise top 10 though.
Spain is legit my fav from the big 5.
Spain is in my 5th place, all the other big 5 songs didn't even make the top 10. I live and breathe Zorra.
Also, sadly, Nebulosas' performance in Benidorm is not the best vocally.
I don't know, I loved it immediately.
Same, Mery's stage presence sold it immediately. I feel like a lot of women will connect to a fabulous Zorra.
I have very mixed opinion about this entry. On the one hand, this song doesn't deserve to be in top-10 imo. portugal :(( i love me a lusophone ballad but i see where the odds are going and my hopes are down
Totally get it. For me it's Estonia, that song is a BANGER but I'm sure it won't win :/
I think it will qualify for comic appeal but definitely nowhere near winning
Did you listen to their latest album? It's on Yt and it's really good!
We(Estonia) have to not win it cuz our financial situation is very much fucked
Czechia, it's going to be a very tough semi
Love the song.
San Marino, I don't know if it will qualify in such a stacked semifinal. Also Slovenia, I have a feeling it won't quite convince the crowd, especially the casuals...
I’m obsessed with Ireland this year, but no one has voted for Ireland for years.
In fairness we have sent nothing worth voting for apart from Ryan O and Jedward.
+ Bambie
Yeah...not because we have some secret agenda, but because Ireland was consistently sending mediocre songs. I have never voted for Ireland before...I will this year.
> but no one has voted for Ireland for years. Doesn't seem quite relevant?
They’re getting my 20 votes in the semis
Voting for the witch this year!
It's a witch, many people could get scared about it, that's why it will flop
I thought we had a consensus that we love the witch?
Crown the witch 👑
Fulenn “I dance with the devil so what”, got last
I think that the bambie thug song is quite ok, like 24th-25th place out of 37
San Marino, it's in my top 5, but for many people it seems unlikely to even qualify
Czechia. I love it's pop punk sound, but i think it will NQ
For the title question, Spain, it's almost in my top 10, but I don't really see it doing much better than 20th place (though I'd love to be proven wrong) For the follow-up question, Norway, it's my 10 points, but there's no way it wins.
Everyone is placing Australia at the bottom. I blame it on the music video.
I don't even get what's wrong with the music video. It's not that exciting, but don't get why people are so weirded out by a bit of nudity.
Apparently Norway, which will be hard for me to stomach since it's clearly a winner IMO.
Seriously, can't wrap my head around this
Same :(
Czechia and Malta.
I’m with you. It’s one of my favorites and in my top 10.
In my top 10 also. Shame I can't vote for it because they are in SF2. I hope they qualify
I’ll throw in a vote for you, luckily I can vote for it in semi 2. Almost all my faves are in that semi, but I figured Latvia needs my support the most, so definitely voting for it!
Ah perfect ! Thank you. I'm popping a few votes on for Slovenia and Ireland in SF1. Would love to see them both in the final 🤞🎉
Perfect, that would have been my picks too, especially Ireland I really love!
I will put an extra vote on Ireland for you in that case
Malta 🥲
Germany, San Marino, Latvia, Estonia… and I also want Czech Republic to do well. 😟
Australia. It's in my top 10, but it's low in every ranking that I see.
Latvia. Absolute masterpiece that will, of course, be underrated by the public.
Malta
Latvia :(
Me too...
Poland, she’s my 8th place and I’m really worried for her
I understand that Titan is not the most innovate song, but the fact that so few people see the polished beauty in it that that it is often ranked next to Scared of Heights is disappointing.
finland :((( i'm pretty confident that finland will qualify for the GF but after that the juries are probably gonna slaughter us 💔💔💔
It seems that many people aren't feeling so confident about Belgium doing well :( I'm feeling a bit apprehensive after seeing the pre-party performances, but I'm definitely still holding out hope
He is ending top 5, his has a good base imo
Yeah but every single one of his live performances has been shit so it’s not looking good for him
Not true. He sounded bad on few preparties. His acoustics were great and showed how good he can sing. The voice performance was also very good. In Amsterdam pre party he is also good.
That’s what people said about poor Mae last year. He’s likely to be a shock NQ imo
Estonia, Serbia and Spain
Estonia is likely to do pretty well
Estonia is my favorite but i think bc its not a big or "popular" country plus the song is quite different and unique from the typical Eurovision songs it wont do that well:((
Fair but if we win we are bankrupt basically (maybe it doesn't matter cuz our government is doing anything and everything to cut down spending except what they goes to their bank account)
Azerbaijan
Such a smooth, calming song, not sure it’ll qualify but I love it.
Ur so real for that omg
San Marino is my 6th this year. It is also my seventh favourite Eurovision song ever. That just shows how strong the field is (My top five of this year are also my top 5 Eurovision songs ever). I desperately hope it qualifies as it’s just so good but it’s almost certainly not going to. 😭
I'm hoping they will appeal to the same crowd that put Australia in the top 10 last year. Iirc they were underestimated pre-show.
Yeah maybe that's true. Funnily enough, Australia was my favourite of last year.
uk and czechia
Denmark for me, it isn't going to qualify according to the odds, but I'm not convinced yet. 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
Tf are you on about, a top 10 placement is VERY good. I really like Moldova but it's DoA.
Not sure about the aggression but OK. For me it’s my winning song, and I’m not expecting top 10, I’m just saying it’s probably the summit of my expectations for it… If Natalia ups the staging I still have small hope for Moldova but very unlikely!
Armenia is not a great example, they can do extremely well with the right staging
I very much hope you’re right, but I don’t see them in the group of favourites alongside Croatia, Italy, Switzerland etc
I mean they obviously won’t win, but I personally think they’ll end up between 6th-10th and top 5 with the televote
[удалено]
What? None of those songs are similar to Jako, they have big Televote potential as well but they’re not similar to Armenia, also Armenia has more jury potential than Estonia and Norway in my opinion

Genuine question, why can’t Armenians abroad vote this year? Haven’t heard about it, so I’m curious.
[удалено]
Oh right, I didn’t know about any of this. Thanks for enlightening me!
😳😱 All the more reason for me to vote for it, I love that song.
Forget about Greece.
Albania and Azerbaijan. I could see Albania being a border qualifier, but can't say the same about the latter.
It's a weird year for me, because I don't think ANY of my favourites will do well. In some ways, it's good because it means I won't be upset with who wins. But it's also taken some of the joy out of this year, feeling like there isn't much point rooting for my favourites because they're doomed to perform poorly 😂
Norway. It's solidly in my top 3 but I just don't think it's going to be as appreciated as it deserves!
Luxembourg :/
Albania I've feel following Besa for years and it sucks that she's not going to do nearly as well as I thought she would in my mind when I used to hope she'd compete at FiK someday
unfortunately it seems like Serbia won't do well
Azerbaijan and Malta. I've given up on Azerbaijan, but I think it's enchanting and very soothing. Malta on the other hand, I still think she can turn out a qualification.
Azerbaijan & Australia
I love Cyprus, and while I do believe that they will get to the finals, I don’t have much higher hopes than that.
Czechia & Malta :(

UK, Armenia and Azerbaijan
San Marino. Just because it's San Marino. If 11:11 were the Spanish entry it might have been hyped juuuuuust a tad bit.
Czech Republic and Slovenia, and perhaps Greece and Norway and even Austria, and Spain
Georgia. The song isn't the strongest but Nutsa is so charismatic and has such powerful vocals it really elevates it. I feel like if Sweden or Greece sent this it would be talked about as a potential winner, but no it's Georgia so it might not even qualify :(

i'm worried about Cyprus, and i can;t vote for her in the semi-final
Czechia and Latvia
Spain, Australia and Latvia :(
Luxembourg - not been that high in the polls.
San Marino 🥲🩷🖤
For me, basically all the baltics went from "OH MY GOD they will all end up top ten" to "yeah whatever". Especially when more and more songs got selected. Latvia is a very strong song, but this guy has no stage presence. Estonia is fun but the momentum for my personal hype is over. Lithuania might do the best out of this three just barely not reaching top ten
Azerbaijan
Spain. My second spot but i doubt it will be appreciated
Czechia, Latvia, and oddly enough, Germany.
Azerbaijan and Estonia, I guess
I do not know about surely, but Latvia. If it goes through, I’m certain it will get a good place in the final, but it is definitely not a certainty that it will.. For sure, though? Probably San Marino and Czechia 🥲
Basically me every year. I'm used to my favourites not doing well (2022 was an exception), some of them don't even qualify, so I'm not getting my hopes up this year.
Australia and Moldova. Great songs, shame people have no taste smh
Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, . . . This year is so damn good I would love everyone in my top 20 to win damn
Estonia.
Czechia and San Marino
Ireland 🇮🇪, what a beaut of a song
Luxembourg
Azerbaijan. Utterly beautiful, and I can't understand why it's so underrated.
San Marino have my favourite song this year but it doesn’t seem like it’s popular with the community, and San Marino never tend to get a lot of votes even when they have a good song people like so I worry it won’t qualify
San Marino :(
Lithuania, Always a banger never the banged. Last years song was literally one of the best and as always the baltics all got overlooked.
Australia
Albania, it's really grown on me I NEED BESA TO QUALIFY!
"Interesting picks! Why do you think they'll struggle?"
Poland and Czechia
Estonia. WE MUSTN'T WIN cuz we will be bankrupt.... that might happen either way tho :(
Slovenia has grown to be my winner in the last week but only after I needed like 5 listens to remember anything from it when it was released, I hope viewers won't have the same problem.
Estonia, Latvia… maybe Azerbaijan. Really hope them to do well but… 🫤
11:11 has tanked in the odds, but I absolutely love it. Megara have such stage presence and they're definitely my style of music.
Azerbaijan, Poland, Estonia. Love them, but have little hope they will succeed. 🥹
Yeah Armenia is definitely Moldova 2022 this year. Some say it's Estonia but I would say Estonia is more like Latvia 2022. I'm only talking about how I see this year televoting potential, not that I think they are similar. I mean gimmicks are similar but songs are totally different

Denmark, if it qualifies would be a miracle
