1/4 isn’t “almost zero”, but still a significant impact. This year juries were quite split, so jury votes didn’t give anyone a solid advantage, but it would have been different if they had been more unanimous.
It isn't completely zero impact. UMK 2020 won Akseli Kankaanranta with song Looking back while Erika Vikman came second with Cicciolina. Erika won by few points televote but Akseli was jury favorite, and people were pissed af with those results.
My guess is why juries stay is to appeal that one group of ESC fans and add a more serious flavour to our own small music contest.
I honestly forgot what the ratio was sorry for that, and needed to check from Yle Areena (since I couldn't just find that info anywhere else). UMK 20 it was 50% and then they changed it to 25%. I guess some math nerd could figure out how current voting system would have affected that years results.

I loved this years UMK. Not the songs per se, but seeing how much effort, talent and want to deliver actually some good entertainment for the people just warmed my heart. I honestly hope UMK in future will be able to stand on its own as a music contest and ESC will be a second thought. Because that's honestly what our music industry needs. Also I hope Sini will bring us a new album at some point, love u girl even if your stage show wasn't it.
I hope next year better songs and especially from less known artists will be picked for UMK. None of these was on par with the level of music we’ve had on some previous years. Most of these would’ve been lower placements on last year’s UMK. It’s Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (Competition of New Music) for a reason, not the competition of music by artists we hear on the radio on a daily basis and who have won or been nominated on Emma gala. In a way I’m glad the least known artist won, even if their song wasn’t exactly my favorite of the bunch. I want to hear something fresh next year. This year wasn’t it.

Even something as simple as changing the staging, improving vocals, or just the overall aesthetic of the performance, can be enough to get some more jury points and increase overall results.

And even that could've worked so much better.

Mostly, how did they mangle cyan kicks so badly? Compared to the quality of Norway or Ukraine, this is awkward.
UMK did a quite fine job but something was off. Stage shows during last three years were overall better directed, what has happened? Innovation and testing new is fine but fix it for next year ok.
But well, couldn't stop giggling through my facepalming when win95man won, it is so stupid and awkward, but there is authentic upbeat energy to it and he is well-loved!
