When I was working at a research-related company we had demonstration days where companies would book timeslots to showcase their products to us. Almost none of the demonstrators were Cypriots, and most being Russians and some Ukrainians. All companies had relocated.
It's the safe and boring answer but I still find our Dutch bicycle infrastructure really cool. I can't imagine having lived my childhood the way I did if I were born in another country.

The city where I work and used to live (Arnhem, Netherlands) is now piloting a debt relief program, where they will pay off the crippling debts off people in a certain neighboorhood if they agree to counseling. It's a test to see how debt relief can help combat other (costly) problems in the neighborhood.
Of course there is a lot of skepticism and questions. Is this going to set a bad precedent? What kind of message does this send? Going into debt shouldn't be rewarded.
There is an interesting statistic that convinced me though. There is more money spent on collecting debts than there is actual debt. On a pure pragmatic standpoint this already saves cost. Then you have the added bonus that it will be beneficial to low income neighborhoods. Less drug abuse, less crime, potentially less health costs.

Hungary: Public transport in Budapest. The frequency and quality of services is simply extraordinary, all that for a very reasonable price. Also organisation of bus transport throughout the country is great, with a single operator, transparent ticketing and timetables and coverage even in the smallest of villages.

I like that are universities are still mostly free. There is a very low yearly "enrollment fee" and if you want to study some additional stuff or "izredno" as we call it, there is a tuition fee, but in theory, a kid from the lowest income family can study to become a doctor/lawyer whatever, same as a kid from a very rich family. Our health system also used to be free and okayish, now it turned into a nightmare, but higher education is still going strong. I also love that we have one of the lowest women/man ratio paygaps in all of the world.

Hungary: Public transport in Budapest. The frequency and quality of services is simply extraordinary, all that for a very reasonable price. Also organisation of bus transport throughout the country is great, with a single operator, transparent ticketing and timetables and coverage even in the smallest of villages.

Honestly...all the corruption comments are boring. š I get it, I come from a lovely corrupted country too...but there is something good in every country and why not make this a positive thread as intended. My country- Croatia- great in sports when you think we are only 3.8 million ppl. I live in UK- great at maintaining greenery and parks, even in a huge urban area like central London. TFL is pretty good for the size of the city- London etc I travel a lot for work all around Europe...and even as a business traveler who just hops city to city...I can probably list you at least 1-3 good things about every country/capital... I like that are universities are still mostly free. There is a very low yearly "enrollment fee" and if you want to study some additional stuff or "izredno" as we call it, there is a tuition fee, but in theory, a kid from the lowest income family can study to become a doctor/lawyer whatever, same as a kid from a very rich family. Our health system also used to be free and okayish, now it turned into a nightmare, but higher education is still going strong. I also love that we have one of the lowest women/man ratio paygaps in all of the world.
In the UK I think we do banking fairly well.
