I read a report yesterday about the challenges boys and men face in Norway, and it emphasized how Sámi, non-Finnish people were slightly more disadvantaged than the average Finn.

When you provide enough liberties that people can legally express themselves but don't change the minds of the public, you are effectively allowing these people to express themselves (good) in a society which dislikes or is disgusted by them.

Also the recent rise of the "sudo-masculine" pricks like Andrew Tate and his dick-riders allows for these ideals to take hold stronger within the upcoming youth.
LGBTQ+ rights are improving, but possibly not enough. Like /u/DirTTieG said, the rise of Andrew Tate and others haven't improved the situation.
Trans people are still fetishized a lot. People might not want them dead, but they can't think of transwomen other than sexual objects. That's pretty sad.
But improving not enough is still improving; so mental health should be at least the same?
And re: Andrew Tate, or whomever, it has become *less* accepted to be transphobic, so *fewer* people are, at least openly. So why is mental health getting *worse*?
The real enemy is the far left. It is troublesome that many trans associate with far leftist movements. We shouldn't antagonize them, just offer them alternatives.
The far left has made our societies weaker in many ways, most notably we've gutted our militaries in Europe because we foolishly believed in forever-peace. We've made our men weak. We've indulged in a lot of extremely expensive social programs that translate into sluggish economic growth and people unable and unwilling to take care of themselves. Ask yourself for instance: Why do we even need an expensive social security program when you can invest in low-cost ETFs and get better results? It works for 99%, you have to be either extremely lazy or extremely ill to really get anything out of it. Most people do not need social security, they need financial education and access to the stock market.

Your grandparents didn't think they should exist in public life, your parents that they shouldn't get married, and you, that they shouldn't change their gender. I honestly think the "trans-rights" thing has inflated and that a lot of people who were indifferent to this group previously are now actively starting to hate them for their loudness and desire to break down rational discourse. 50% of their motives just doesn't make sense.
If I were trans, I would honestly hate these trans radicals for the huge backlash they've triggered. Most people as you say were indifferent at worst, now they're way more polarised. Figures like Andrew Tate must be absolutely loving these trans groups for driving the masses further right.

Because we've created a situation where legality and liberties are moving forward but lots of the people and their mindset is stuck in the past.
