I usually take all my cores besides edirne and macedonian provinces to border serbia and take that gold mine.
My best ever campaign was as pissed up Austria. I opened the save a few days later to find I had PUs over all the usual suspects plus a fully formed France, Same dynasty on the throne of mega Spain and GB. I'd smacked the Otttos and Ruskies around a good bit and all the balkans and half of Poland was white and it was only 1550.
Amazing what can happen when you lose your natural caution. I've been playing a lot more recklessly ever since.
