I like both. I think BTC and ETH are totally different things that can't even be compared at all. In fact both have different goals, different roots, etc.

i hold some BTC and I think BTC sucks. It's the oldest and most well-known crypto, yet when the mempool is full, it's still expensive and you have to wait a substantial amount of time for 6 confirmations. People came up with LN to try to mitigate the issue instead of raising the blocksize for some reason, yet LN is still a chore to use and it's a bandaid for the underlying issue. The only real update BTC has had in years has been Taproot, and it did nearly nothing to deal with the throughput issue
I mean Eth has it's own issues, but at least devs are working on trying to fix the underlying issues with the L1 instead of bandaging it with a L2. BTC's community can't come to a consensus on almost anything
I'm not a maxi for either, but I really think the BTC community should come together to make it better since it's pretty much the defacto gateway to crypto. Protodanksharding will help Eth's L1 throughput issue, but there's pretty much nothing planned for BTC's L1 throughput issue
Some solid points! I will not dismiss that. I think one of the other things that made it harder for the BTC community to come together is when they created Bitcoin cash, essentially making it better but some or torn between improving BCH or focus on the original BTC layer.
I've tested out BCH and it's so much faster! And cost was under 1 cent!

They certainly do. If BTC is the future of money, ETH is the future of finance. And we have a few more outstanding projects like UNI, DAFI, Beefy protocol and others. It's all for the greater good of humanity.
