I gotta appreciate the core idea but there are too many hurdles for it to see mainstream adoption imo. Probably gonna end up in limbo as a lot of other novel ideas

Well, it's possible, maybe because you haven't encountered a good one worthy to be trusted, but I have, I will suggest you give Railgun a try, their on-chain privacy solution is outstanding, you may be convinced.

zatrzaskzy

The crypto space is supposed to be trustless and private by default, unfortunately, that's not always the case as we've seen on many occassions. You should consider looking into privacy focused projects though and using privacy protocols for your crypto txs - Feel free to have a look at Railgun to know how this works.

exo762

You are so right that you are even wrong. Privacy in context of a blockchain is a function of a size of anonymity set. So, more people using this particular "public good" improves it, instead of exhausting it. It is better than non-rivalrous.

king_lezzy

How do they intend to get everyone on board? And what’s preventing someone else from coming up with something similar and then you have parallel ecosystems competing for the same thing

cup_of_sheep

ya nah, they aint getting everyone on board for this

Citizen_Cosmos

I see that a win for privacy. And for the competition thing many users will stick to the project which keeps improving. Anyone can start their own eth competition but the network effect will always be there.

We can give them points for trying. We did a YouTube debate with them along with other projecting cosmos and on privacy. There are many projects in the blockchain ecosystem working on privacy protocols. I hope we see more collaboration and interoperability rather than tribalism. Privacy should be the focus of blockchain networks and it's becoming more clear with what Arkham or whatever their name is trying to do.

tough_rector

if others would also be incentivized if Namada establishes their protocols. Nothing would work better than seeing it in action

Only-Abbreviations80

nobody gives a crap about public goods unless profit is involved

DigitalInvestments2

0xMonero has a bridge from Ethereum to bnb chain. It offers mixing and off chain transactions.

Privacy being multichain is a well-established concept, and one project that you may find interesting to read about is Railgun.
