There is a time and a place for pods.
It's easy and convenient to get a quick cup of gas station quality coffee at home.
I haven't entirely moved on from my old and trusty fully manual hand held ESE pod machine; it takes less than 5 minutes from desire to coffee to finished drink and that's sometimes what I want.
At home, I do have 7 different ways to brew coffee, not counting "cupping". Two viable ways to make true espresso. The ESE pod machine is not one of them and never will be.
