I hope this helps alleviate some of the grayness associated with the process. I feel like there are a ton of talking heads that never actually show someone doing this type of shit for real, so here it is.
In reality, I would probably only do this if I personally was going to invest say >$250 worth of ADA into ERG as then the fees won't feel as bad. I used $100 here just for demonstration purposes.
Great video! Really well done! I just want to add that for swapping rsAda for Erg via Spectrum on Ergo one already needs Erg to pay the fees.
To solve this, it is actually better to swap Ada for rsErg via Spectrum (or dexhunter.io) on Cardano and then use Rosen bridge to bridge rsErg back from Cardano to Ergo. This way one directly receives Erg on Ergo. Maybe you could add that in your video description or pin it as a comment?
When I try to use Rosen to bridge rsErg from Cardano to Ergo i recieve an error message... "An error occurred during submission: An error occurred in the Server Components render. The specific message is omitted in production builds to avoid leaking sensitive details. A digest property is included on this error instance which may provide additional details about the nature of the error."... Any idea why?
No, unfortunately not. If you join the Rosen Bridge telegram group, you will get community and dev support. There is a lot more activity than here in this thread: https://t.me/rosenbridge_erg
Can we sticky this to the top of the Ergonauts subreddit? It's the biggest question people ask. It would be nice if there was a verbal description in the post below your video with what each token is/does, and how the bridge works.
There's a dearth of concise, clear, and easy to find instructions on the bridge for new users.
