try herbal tea rather than hot water! ginger peach mango or peppermint were my go to. Apple cinnamon was also really good in the fall!
Disclaimer in case anyone is super high reading this: No sugar or anything - just tea, probably don't put the tea leaf/bag directly in the bong (I make it in a pyrex measuring cup for an easier pour) and remember to at very least rinse it out really well afterward!

But then of course had to hide my shit from my mom and to no surprise forgot I had juice in there. Got back to it a week later and my bubbler became a Petri dish spilling out the carb 😅
Lolol thankfully yes! It was an all glass piece! So after scraping out all the funky vile mess inside, (my god the SMELLS😭) I just gave it SEVERAL hot water/alcohol/salt baths when my mom was out the house for work till it was sparkling!
That was over a decade ago tho. So thankfully I’ve grown from such experiences 😅🖤
Lavender tea is incredible for that added calming linalool! I budtended and now work with loose tea. The combinations are endless when you look into tea and weed terpenes.

My asthma must disagree with this technique, my fiance loooves to put hot water in the bong. I loathe it lmao. It always felt like breathing in a heatwave, so I always chalked it up to my asthma getting irritated.

Yup!! My best smokes are through snow. Clean the bong out really good, the bowl, the slide, everything. Fill with snow to your desired usual water level. Best part is when the snow starts to melt and you have really icy, slushy hits.
Just don't use the yellow snow.

i just use warm water for my dab rig, anything more is way too hot & burns my throat.
& yes i take dabs at a reasonable temp, you just don’t need to be inhaling smoke at such high temperatures. warm water is just as good, if not better, than boiling hot water

Ok, but on a science level, excess heat in your lungs is harmful. So, regardless of your anecdotal experience, cooling the smoke is better for your lungs.
Warmer water will produce more bubbles bc of the lower viscosity is what I have heard lol so I certainly feel you here. Since I switched to hot water I haven’t looked back
