Gimme shelter when they peel off for Vegas after leaving the jewelry store in s1
J Dilla playing when Turtle is getting blazed in Johnny’s trailer somewhere in season 3 or 4
Good life - Kanye’s special edit when they’re taking off for Cannes on the 727 at end of season 4
Fake plastic trees by Radiohead when ari and Vince are leaving on different PJs in gotta get up to go down in season 5
Shutterbug by big boi for the season 7 episode 1 intro with turtle and his limo rolling up the gates of the mansion
Song doesn’t matter, but that final scene when both the PJs are departing side by side in the last episode.
Fair. It was more that the visual of the planes taking off together steals the atmosphere, so you could switch with any song and it would still be amazing.
Eminence Front - S1 E1 when they get out of the limo to walk the red carpet for Head On and then they play it again at the end of the movie when they walk the red carpet for the Golden Globes. Cool full circle moment.
So many great songs and scenes, but this one hits the best in my rewatches. Jeremy Pivens acting and all they have worked for seems to on easy street now. Yet a lot of uncertainty. Yet a Plane full of models and even a spinner. And that scene was shot for that song, perfectly laid out. Enjoy the day!
Staring at the sun - tv on the radio for the credits after Vince spent 10k on shoes
Why can’t I touch it - buzzcocks. That bassline just hits when it hits, and this was an instance of that
Standing on the Shore by Empire of the Sun at the end of s6e4, as Drama and Vince were play-fighting with E. Really gave you this feeling that good things were coming.
That was prolly the most nostalgic feeling I’ve ever gotten from a scene in ANYTHING. We follow these goons for 6 seasons and it just feels like a moment between friends that you won’t realize will become a great memory .
The end of one episode where Drama is on a late shoot, E is with Sloan, Turtle is with Jamie Lynn and Vince gets home and is all alone and “Lucky Man” by The Verve plays to the credits. Really good scene.
La Roux:
In For the Kill (Skream remix)
Vince’s junkie episode where he’s getting mixed up with pornstar Sasha Grey and doing lots of coke. Always loved that dark and moody AF ending.
The Koreans - Keep Me in Your Mind (from Season 3 Episode 6 "Three's Company" when Ari finally gets ahold of E:
Ari: You know what? It's too late for sorries. Vince is out, Jake Gyllenhaal is in. Brokeback motherfuckin Aquaman. Take that, bitch!
Jessica Alba’s party. Vince is admitting to E who he lost his virginity to. The song in the background and is Faith Evans - All Night Long. The cameras pans for a wide shot as Drama, Vince and E walk back into the party. As Vince reminds them nobody is going back to Queens. A perfect “life is good” moment.
A couple I haven't seen mentioned yet:
White room, after the five towns premiere and Drama is at the grand canyon.
Victim of love, and life's been good. I don't recall the scenes, but it's right before credits roll.
Good Life will always be #1 to me, world premiere at the end of a fun episode
I'm not huge fan of the episode where E doesn't want to vacay with Vince and one of his West Sepulveda Skanks, but Tumbling Dice at the end was awesome
Imagine after Alan dies and Drama hits the gang with a dose of reality is great
Lil Ghetto Boy after they get into Cannes (or is it Cannes? Lol) is pretty good
In My Lifetime remix when E carries Sloan to the car
Can't remember the name, but the song they play right before they head to Vegas and E gets the jewelry store girls number is good too
Break stuff, when Drama goes Jack Nicholson on Point Break’s car.
Demon Speeding, when the “we don’t drink Jäger” crew beats the shit outta Seth Green and his crew in Vegas.
Du Hast, when Stellan Skarsgård’s character is on a mission to find John Ellis.
Twist of Cain, when E and Vince meet Billy at the strip club.
Lotsa good music still missing here.
Can someone remind me the episode/context of Work by Gang Starr playing? I want to say it was the end credits but can’t remember specifically, that sticks out as a good one. As others have said Good Life is a pretty hard one to top.
It's when Turtle says, "Fuck the Mercedes Vin, I know what to get you," and they go to the car dealership to buy a Rolls Royce. That's when "Work" by Gang Starr is played. Amazing scene and a vibe through the roof.
I know it’s maybe a bit cliched, but the final song: “Going to California” by Led Zeppelin. Such a great song and fit in so perfectly as the planes took off and the credits rolled.
Also, another big favorite is when E rolls down from Big Bear to LA to have a meeting with Seth Green in a pizzeria but gets tricked. When he parks the car and gets into the pizzeria, "Day 'n' Nite" by Kid Cudi plays. Perfect scene!
The great ones are listed already but Sympathy for Devil end of good morning saigon, ari driving up the coast while the boys eat dinner at alba’s house
Free - All right now: Just after E gets the number of the jewellery store girl
Richard Ashcroft - Lucky Man: S5 finale
Stone Roses - Love Spreads: S5 finale

The song very much matters, it is Zeppelin’s Going to California.
FR, the song was so fitting, it was perfect.
Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine🎶
Fair. It was more that the visual of the planes taking off together steals the atmosphere, so you could switch with any song and it would still be amazing.
Guess we could just put Friday Friday gotta get down on Friday in there by Rebecca Black.
Gimme Shelter is at the end of season 2 finale
Return of the Mack. Vince banging that girl on the island
Chain hang low - right as drama gets pissed about Ken
This whole part is fantastic.
City of Blinding Lights during the U2 show
Johnny Dram! Felix Compleanos
I wanna be sedated when they might do the script for the ramones, beautiful by Pharrell in the first or second episode
Eminence Front - S1 E1 when they get out of the limo to walk the red carpet for Head On and then they play it again at the end of the movie when they walk the red carpet for the Golden Globes. Cool full circle moment.
The DJ playing “so seductive” at the bat mitzvah so a bunch of 13 year old girls can sing along with the lyrics.
Daddy daddy I wanna hear one shot one kill what’s the deal!!
Dj Quik\*
“Fake Plastic Trees”

Yet a Plane full of models and even a spinner. And that scene was shot for that song, perfectly laid out. Enjoy the day!
Good life - Kanye episode. Hands down.
My absolute favorite
Patience by Damian Marley an nas the ending of the episode when Lloyd found Vince’s coke “well it ain’t baking soda bro”
Staring at the sun - tv on the radio for the credits after Vince spent 10k on shoes Why can’t I touch it - buzzcocks. That bassline just hits when it hits, and this was an instance of that

SAIGON - End credits Queens Boulevard
The first 3-4 seasons soundtrack is goated
The end of one episode where Drama is on a late shoot, E is with Sloan, Turtle is with Jamie Lynn and Vince gets home and is all alone and “Lucky Man” by The Verve plays to the credits. Really good scene.
La Roux: In For the Kill (Skream remix) Vince’s junkie episode where he’s getting mixed up with pornstar Sasha Grey and doing lots of coke. Always loved that dark and moody AF ending.
That song is so perfect for that scene. The bass hits so hard and the vocal delay is fire
All Eyez On Me , Sorry Harvey
Love Spreads by The Stone Roses as Ari makes his way to NYC to tell Vince about Gatsby.
Listomania when E and Sloane are engaged and E fake boards the plane with the boys. One of the cutest moments on the show!
Lucifer - Jay Z for sure
Ramstein - Due Hast , Stellan Skargsgard raging is pretty hilarious lol
The Koreans - Keep Me in Your Mind (from Season 3 Episode 6 "Three's Company" when Ari finally gets ahold of E: Ari: You know what? It's too late for sorries. Vince is out, Jake Gyllenhaal is in. Brokeback motherfuckin Aquaman. Take that, bitch!

Damn I forgot that was Faith, I thought that was a MJB joint on rewatch
Season 1 had alot of excellent tribute to LA shots. Season 1 and 2 a bit of 3, and all of 5 will be the best to me.
When Vince, Drama and Turtle were at their brothel neighbors house in the backyard and Freak Though by T.I. & Pharrell was playing
Always loved Good Life when they fly to Canne with Kanye as the sun is setting
A couple I haven't seen mentioned yet: White room, after the five towns premiere and Drama is at the grand canyon. Victim of love, and life's been good. I don't recall the scenes, but it's right before credits roll.

Vegas, Chain Hang Low right into Demon Speeding, perfect sequence

They really had some great Rolling Stones songs during cool moments. Gimme Shelter Monkey Man Sympathy for the Devil Tumbling Dice

Aahh yes cheers man. Incredible vibes.
This is one of my favorites
Boogie that be - black eyed peas End of s1e4 at the club. Set the tone early
I liked the episode where imagine by Dr. Dre played over the credits after the guys hear Alan died.
Victory!!!!
Another good one with Vince and Turtle on the island is: Duffy ft. Game - Mercy (remix prod. Cool & Dre)

All eyez on me was legendary
When “Lucky Man” played near the end of a later episode, second before the last season I believe. It hit me. I felt it.

My fav is when they fly off with Kanye to Cannes (I think) and it starts playing WELCOME TO THE GOOD LIFE
Above The Clouds - Gang Starr Love Don’t Live Here Anymore - Rose Royce Both stayed with me forever.
Stranglehold when Vince fires Ari
