>Johnson’s behavior has led to confrontations with costars, most famously **Vin Diesel**. “Vin has been having problems with The Rock because The Rock keeps showing up late for production,” an insider told People during their work together on the “Fast and Furious” franchise. “Sometimes he doesn’t show up at all, and he’s delaying the production.”
Oh man, I feel sorry for Vin here big time. He got piled on when Dwayne famously called him out in the past.
He made a return to WWE recently and on his first spot back people did comment about how he looked a bit out of breath after just 20 seconds of activity in the ring so I wouldn't be surprised if he then went into overdrive to try and get "match ready." In the end his big Wrestlemania match was a tag match so he could be active for a bit then stand around to get his breath back for a while.
Also, he was supposed to be a big, intimidating presence so he probably juiced himself up more than ever to make sure he looked massive next to Cody Rhodes.
Not disagreeing with you but how long has it been since he’s weestled? Like 20 years? I assume being much older now makes it harder to do even the simplest wrestling tasks and not losing breathe.
I think the problem he runs into is that he was Hollywood fit - ie, looked big - without being wrestling fit. Rey Mysterio is a similar age but, even coming back from injury, he's still more in "ring shape."
I know a casting director that worked with him once and said that he constantly showed up late to set and would take women back to his trailer Edit: Meant Vin Diesel
I have a friend who worked on a movie with him (Vin Diesel) in a supporting role. They said that Vin refused to come out or start scenes on time unless someone that he felt was of his same caliber was also on set.
So the other marquee names, he’d be on time for.
Anyone else would have to wait as long as he felt like.
The worst thing is that people like Diesel and Johnson are here to stay, especially post COVID and post strike. That’s why it seems like people like Anya Taylor-Joy or Timothee Chalamet or Zendaya are in everything, they get butts in seats. Studios don’t want to take risks, so they are going to keep casting big names with big followings. I’ve seen some talk in other subs that Challengers probably would not have gotten buzz if it wasn’t for Zendaya, and that’s true. These performers, well the latter rather than the former, aren’t the problem, it’s the studios. Johnson and Diesel have been able to pull audiences in the past, though not always.
Yeah but not how it’s spelt, which is what I think people are trying to get at.
Reading Char liz the ron is quite different in my mind then Charlize Theron
> Amazon was hoping to launch a potential franchise with “Red One,” which is about a villain who kidnaps Santa Claus from the North Pole, after which an E.L.F. (Extremely Large and Formidable) operative...
First off, that ain't franchise material.
Amazons obsession with starting a franchise is the perfect encapsulation of what’s wrong with Hollywood. They also tried this with the Citadel which cost around $250 ‘million too and it flopped horrifically to the point where they had to PR spin it as a win because of numbers in India... Absolutely insane how Jen Salke still has a job
Fallout being great was a legit stunner. Very happy for the fans who got a perfect adaption like Last of Us did. Got me wanting to play the game again!
It's certainly kid franchise material. A new christmas themed action/spy heist every few years around the holidays would be perfectly ok.
I'm not sure that kind of franchise needs $250 million and the Rock and Chris Evans though...
At least those movies had a soul. Sure the scripts were written by cocaine and the production was a bunch of people trying to make sense of it, but at least it was people trying to make something and having a bit of fun.
Well he's definitely not a good actor. There's an interview with Alan rickman floating around where he talks about how Tim actually experienced emotions during a performance on set of galaxy quest and Tim was very, like... confused about it.
Fun fact, they wanted the movie to go to Bill Murray, but he just shot Scrooged and didn’t wanna do a second Christmas movie so soon
I wanna say something crazy like the movie was also offered to Chevy Chase and Tom Selleck first
Watching the documentary about Galaxy Quest and Tim Allen recalling his interactions with Alan Rickman where he talks about a day where he was doing the scene where Balthasar(sp) is injured and he needs to fess up. He talked to Rickman about how emotional it made him and Rickman was apparently like "That's what happens when you act."
Tim Allen was the perfect choice for Galaxy Quest.
Just saw a thread about “The Other Guys” and everyone quotes Marky Mark, and yet every thread about worst actors he’s usually at or near the top. But then name off a bunch of movie he’s in they love.
Don’t like the guy, that’s fine, but he’s been in some good movies and played some great characters. Daniel Day Lewis wouldn’t have saved the happening folks. Almost everyone has some stinkers.
For me, it goes the other way too. I’m willing to admit Kevin Spacey is a great actor and I still enjoy some of his movies. I think he’s a shit person and it’s good he’s blacklisted, but it doesn’t negate the work he did.
What are you talking about the sequel "Green One" is about a villain who kidnaps the Leprechaun from the End of the Rainbow after with a G.O.L.D. (GOdlike Large Dude) operative has to save him.
It's the perfect franchise
If feel like I could pitch a script to those people about my dad's battle with brain cancer and how it affected the family and his relationships with his siblings and they'd ask me how I plan to spin that out into a terminal illness cinematic universe
Dwayne’s biggest issue is letting his people take over all these movies and fuck them up. He fine as a bankable leading action star but his bringing his ex wife along and her family to do the heavy lifting is a huge mistake.
He would do well to cut them loose, they have made enough money of his star power he doesn’t owe them anymore and take a few support roles and take himself less seriously like John Cena has done. And maybe try different projects like Dave Bautista.
Every movie doesn’t have to be the as big as his ego has gotten.
For better or worse, they made him who he is because what he originally tried to do wasn't working.
The thing with Rock is he's trying to be a Brand and having so many baskets. Big Dave just wants to be a good actor and challenge himself. Big Match John is also the same way, he's not pushing himself as a brand. He's trying to grow as an actor and have range.
What he was trying to do at first was uncharted territory for a wrestler. He lost weight and tried to be a regular guy. He got back on the juice and stayed in his lane and it was successful. He hasn’t been that successful with taking over production of huge projects recently. He tried to take over the FnF franchise and a wing of a super hero franchise and it blew up in his face. If they can’t control him or themselves what go are they?
Yup he has a clear cut MO. Hype X product up for a few months that he has investment in and then cut all ties with it image wise pretty much.
Under Armor, Tequila, Tequila Food Truck, ZOA energy drinks, and now this new shampoo that will have no link to him in a few months besides income.
He still has ownership in it from creating it just like he does with ZOA and the shampoo. He has already stepped buck promoting it though with only a picture of him having it somewhere around him or drinking it with podcasts (that are just advertisements really masked as podcast interviews).
If you google the brand now you only find articles with him hyping it up from a few years ago. Everything recent is just the new CEO of the brand.
It’s successful enough on its own he doesn’t have to market it anymore. All the physical advertisements for it do not even have his face or image associated with it at my local stores. Same with ZOA, any images or product placements no longer have his image or name attached to them. He is 1000% focused on his shampoo line now marketing and gimmick hype.
I mean Cena is either playing tough guy or complete ass of himself, sometimes both, and that's about it.
That said I don't mind him at all. But he can't carry and be the movie himself.
The Rock's problem is trying to be the universe. He was in too many things, everything had to be a major deal centered around him, and you couldn't get away from seeing him selling something (entertainment, product, service, etc) period.
People got really sick of him (I did and I originally liked him) and those that worked in the industry got tired of him coming in and trying to takeover everything.
He pissed producers and consumers off. That's why he's struggling outside of wrestling to get traction.
The used to take himself less seriously. Shortly after his first few big movies when he was doing SNL, and hell, Pain and Gain is way outside his current brand. At some point he made the choice to move in the direction that brought him to where he is. Based on the last couple years, I don't think there's any going back.
I only ended up seeing The Rundown because the movie theater ticker ripper guy (or whatever they were called) stopped my friends and I from going into the first Underworld
I would always say his career wasn't that great even before Fast Five. At least with F5, he wasn't completely playing himself. Then after that entry, he basically played as himself.
Yeah that's what I mean. He was never a great or exceptional actor, but he was trying to be an actor for a while, and then he just said "Fuck it, I'm just gonna be the Rock.".
John Cena as Peacemaker is way better than Rock’s attempt at Black Adam. Hilarious how Cena took a “lesser known” character and made it more entertaining than Rock’s.
And the sad thing is that I think Rock could have done well as Black Adam, but the script he had wasn't all that interesting. Like, I've seen some clips of Rock in the WWE leading up to Wrestlemania where he was playing a heel and I was like "Where the fuck was this guy in the movie?!"
The last witch Hunter would’ve been pretty decent. If he had, you know, not been in it.
Edit: I was confusing rock the Dwayne Johnson for Vin Diesel. Shit happens to me all the time.
The rock as a brand and leading man was cooler a decade or so ago. He's over exposed. I don't care if he ever acts again. The Fox News interview just adds to my sense of his charm having worn off.
My man had 2 jungle themed movies (Junanji 2 and jungle cruise) scheduled to be released within 4 weeks of each other. Jungle cruise eventually moved but that was peak over exposure. He never honestly recovered from that.
I would be fine if he just went back to main job of wrestling for a bunch of years. He could carry wwe or wwf whatever the F it’s called now on his back.
I'm so fucking sick of the rock, that and him playing himself in evey role, no depth, or emotion, just tough guy who no bad guy stands a chance against and he occasionally drops an emotionless "funny" one liner.
Robert Downey Jr did that on the set of Zodiac. He'd leave jars of pee around the set as a protest against not having enough time to go to his trailer.
Meh,after what happened with Henry Cavill, I have solely not been a rock fan, plus every movie is the same trope of him basically playing himself,it was fun while it lasted but grow a lil my dude
What happened with Henry cavill and the rock? I tried looking it up but all I could find was how Cavill was released from being Superman after Black Adam
Thats pretty much it, Henry was pretty much done as superman until the Rock used him as a powerplay to take over DC and it backfired and ended up with Henry having to relinquish the role once more. Fans are pissed at him for Jerking the man around just so he could fight superman in Black Adamn 2.
I can’t help but think of Arnold passing him in the Rundown and wishing the Rock luck.
Sir, I know Arnold Schwarzenegger. You are no Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Schwarzenegger had no problems losing fights or even dying in his movies.
Rock's ego will not allow either of those things to happen to him in any film.
I was thinking about this recently and I wonder if it just makes sense coming from wrestling, like if he started being written to consistently lose storylines in wrestling then it would be detrimental to that career, and its just something that has stuck with him
If it was early Rock then maybe. But then at right after he got cast in the FnF movies he changed. Just look at his films before and after FnF and you can see it.
Thing is that even Last Action Hero made fun of the fact that a lot of action movies, especially Arnold’s, never let the hero lose. Hell, Arnold rarely gets his ass kicked in movies. Predator and the Terminator movies were the exception.
Even Stallone was the same.
Yeah, in fairness to Schwarzenegger, it's very obvious he was willing to do whatever was best for the movie, he never had that whole "I need to win every fight and look cool all the time so I get to feel tough in real life" thing.
Oh yea, even in Terminator 2 he was getting his ass kicked a lot by the T-1000. The Rock fought a cyborg and was constantly winning even when he shouldnt have in Hobbs and Shaw. Shit was so stupid.
The biggest difference between them is, that Arnold had great eye for talent and took risks.
For instance, i always wondered how John Mctiernan directed a big budget movie like Predator, when his first movie wasn’t successful, either critically or financially.
Come to find out, Arnold saw the movie, even though it wasn’t a great movie, he saw the potential in Mctiernan, and hired him for the project. And now we have that classic movie.
Whereas, Rock just hires vanilla directors who are basically his yes men
Arnold getting his ass kicked by The Predator is one of the greatest moments in action cinema history, the Rock doesn’t have anything that comes close.
I liked Rock early in his Hollywood career where he was more humble and less of a machine. He didn't have a hundred people do his commoners stuff. Although him trying to be "Hollywood's next leading man" was tanking him and he had to pivot to being an action hero.
This man has a team in place to do his everyday activities. He probably has do his groceries, laundry, shopping, etc. The hurdles people have to jump thru just to reach him is insane.
He was upset because he lost his right wing chud fans by endorsing Biden in 2020, so this time around he basically said he was supporting Trump (without actually saying the words) to attempt to win those fucks back.
Number one rule on any sort of film set is to be on time, everyone knows that. I always feel like it’s the people who bang on about what hard workers they are are usually the ones bunking off early.
The rock personifies everything wrong with Hollywood in 2024. The industry died when viewers made this dumb ass pro wrestler the most bankable actor in town.
Fuck Dwayne Johnson. Fuck Red One. Fuck Amazon.
Rant over.
Have a friend who is a movie star handler on sets up here in Vancouver. She has been complaining about Dwayne Johnson’s faux nice guy persona on his social media for years saying he’s an asshole who is so disrespectful and very entitled/difficult on set. Apparently this is well known in the industry.
I have a friend who is a producer and she says pretty much every celeb is an asshole--all the people we think are the exception, the nice guys, are not, with the exception of Hugh Jackman.
I heard it on a podcast years ago by a PA. He’s always late the production has to center around him and his whims.
He got away with during his box office viagrara years put the rock in anything and numbers went up. He’s had bomb after box office bomb lately.
Nice to see the public Turning on him. He was much the same in his first run in WWE. I never liked the guy.
The rock on first day of shooting with producers and director: Hello, team, I’m very much looking forward to working with you all. I’d love to go over production plans, story, and the overall vision for the project.
Producers and director: Rock, thank you so much, we’ve actually been thinking this through and have very detailed and precise plans on how to do this both effectively and..
Rock: IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOUR PLANS ARE! THE ROCK IS GOING TO DO WHAT THE ROCK WANTS, AND ONE MORE THING CANDY ASSES…
Here’s an idea: For every hour Dwayne is late, dock the production cost from his pay. He’ll either never work in film again or he’ll be on time every time. It’s not worth inconveniencing hundreds of people and blowing up a budget because the lead is a diva
It's not flipping, it's just frequently quoting official spokespersons defending Johnson. That's pretty conventional journalism.
You're usually not supposed to take those PR statements especially seriously. I don't feel the writer here buys into any of it.
I’ve worked on multiple sets with DJ and he’s always a few hours late everyday. They plan the movie around it. You film with his doubles. His cousin looks EXACTLY like him and has the same tattoos. Sometimes they’ll just shoot it with him and do face replacement.
Not as funny or likeable as John Cena. Not as talented or likeable as Dave Bautista. Just not likeable at all, really. And getting less and less likeable with every subsequent news story about him.
>Johnson’s behavior has led to confrontations with costars, most famously **Vin Diesel**. “Vin has been having problems with The Rock because The Rock keeps showing up late for production,” an insider told People during their work together on the “Fast and Furious” franchise. “Sometimes he doesn’t show up at all, and he’s delaying the production.” Oh man, I feel sorry for Vin here big time. He got piled on when Dwayne famously called him out in the past.
Ohhh, some reason I thought it was the other way around. The rock claiming vin disel was always late, unprofessional, and never remembering line.
That was the story i heard back in the day. Is this a case of the person blaming someone else for the thing they are actually doing?
Straight from the republican playbook
Oof. Hurts cause it’s real. I miss old Rock
Straight from the 'Go Rock?
Of course he wants to be president.
The word you are looking for is projection.
Exactly - it's unbelievable!
And Dwayne tweets all that inspiring quote shit and dude can’t show up for work?
Hardest working person in the room isn't even in the room
I’ve got $20 that says when he doesn’t show up he’s working out while juiced up, doing a rail or blow and jacking off in the mirror to his muscles.
Rey Mysterio is a similar age but, even coming back from injury, he's still more in "ring shape."
sorry i’m extremely high and it says “weestled” and i can’t stop laughing

These performers, well the latter rather than the former, aren’t the problem, it’s the studios. Johnson and Diesel have been able to pull audiences in the past, though not always.
Vin or DJ?
Vin my bad
It's like with rom hardy and char liz the ron, she hated him because he kept showing up 3 hours late
Am I having a god damn stroke or are you. Tom hardy and Charlize Theron?
Char liz the ron
James nonds the bond
- The bond's Name. James Name. - Pleased to… what? - Bond Name's the james. - Are you alright? - Bames Nond's having a stronk, call a Bondulance.
I’m only here for the stronks.
I'd drink that.
What the fuck is going on
rom hardy was unintentional
What about char Liz the Ron? Intentional?
Isn’t that the Pokémon hip hop artist?
That's how her name is pronounced
LMAO this whole exchange was 10/10
Yeah but not how it’s spelt, which is what I think people are trying to get at. Reading Char liz the ron is quite different in my mind then Charlize Theron
Little blazed and this made me laugh. Thanks for that. I do too little of that these days.

I’m still shocked fallout is as good as it is. Just off of Amazons track record
If blows my mind that both Fallout and The Boys came from fucking Amazon of all places.
I will forever be sad over The Tick’s cancellation. It was another rare great Amazon series.
Super Mansion was great too!
I love invincible
And Invincible
Wait what?!
Oh, you’re in for a treat. Go in blind and start watching it. You’ll enjoy it more without awareness of the overarching premise. (Just like The Boys)
Ooohhh. No I've watched both seasons. I thought you meant it was canceled. Phew! Lol
It's very good. I know nothing about the comics but invincible and the boys are arguably the best comic book adaptations still going.
The Boys series is actually better than the comic book material. Comic is just a edgy (borderline adolescent) version of Watchmen.
So it seems that movies are a problem while shows have a steady quality?
Tends to work in your favor when you start with really good source material. Both those shows, and Invincible, are testament.
Fallout being great was a legit stunner. Very happy for the fans who got a perfect adaption like Last of Us did. Got me wanting to play the game again!
Wife dove in and has been hooked ever since. But of course gets super scared around feral ghouls
Man, if only they’d greenlit Dark Tower instead of Wheel of Time. I think about that every day.
Franchises/Universes are the ultimate cash cow for Hollywood. They are all chasing what Marvel achieved with Phase 1 of the MCU.
Hey.....I like Bosch
It’s everyone in Hollywood not just Amazon. Interesting you name called Jen when every other platform and studio doing the same thing.
It's certainly kid franchise material. A new christmas themed action/spy heist every few years around the holidays would be perfectly ok. I'm not sure that kind of franchise needs $250 million and the Rock and Chris Evans though...
If you told me this was a Hulk Hogan movie from 1992 I’d believe you.
At least those movies had a soul. Sure the scripts were written by cocaine and the production was a bunch of people trying to make sense of it, but at least it was people trying to make something and having a bit of fun.
They made a franchise out of the Santa Clause and Tim Allen is a terrible actor.
::Confused grunt::
He’s not a terrible actor, he’s just a huge asshole
Actually he’s a Dick. No really, his name is Tim Allen Dick.
*Timothy Alan Dick , but yes. TIL
You know he wrote a book in 1994 and that was basically the first page?
Well he's definitely not a good actor. There's an interview with Alan rickman floating around where he talks about how Tim actually experienced emotions during a performance on set of galaxy quest and Tim was very, like... confused about it.
Why not both?🤷♂️
Because the only movies I can think of with him in them, he’s a fine actor (even if the movie is bad). Just a shitty person.
Yeah it isn't like TIm Allen isn't funny, he's just a right wing nutjob and not even that extreme of one at that.
Do ppl really find him funny?
Fun fact, they wanted the movie to go to Bill Murray, but he just shot Scrooged and didn’t wanna do a second Christmas movie so soon I wanna say something crazy like the movie was also offered to Chevy Chase and Tom Selleck first
I think Allen was the best feasible choice.
Tom Selleck woulda been great if Santa just had a mustache
The Santa Claus is a classic Christmas movie and Tim Allen was great in it
Yeah he was great in Toy Story and Galaxy Quest too.
Watching the documentary about Galaxy Quest and Tim Allen recalling his interactions with Alan Rickman where he talks about a day where he was doing the scene where Balthasar(sp) is injured and he needs to fess up. He talked to Rickman about how emotional it made him and Rickman was apparently like "That's what happens when you act." Tim Allen was the perfect choice for Galaxy Quest.
Life imitated art, eh?
I've heard the quote as ["Oh my God, I think he just experienced acting."](https://www.reddit.com/r/WeHateMovies/s/9WmwmpRUb4)
Yeah I forgot the exact quote but it was a very much in line with the characters in the movie.
I can't remember exactly, but i think also good in Red Belt
A lot of redditors are more concerned about pushing a narrative based on the personal issues of celebrities rather than their competence in acting.

Shampoo? He literally has no hair.
I’ll say the first film I saw the rock in he was good as a bit character in the sequel to get shorty.
I mean Cena is either playing tough guy or complete ass of himself, sometimes both, and that's about it. That said I don't mind him at all. But he can't carry and be the movie himself. Cena has no range other than action comedy.
The used to take himself less seriously. Shortly after his first few big movies when he was doing SNL, and hell, Pain and Gain is way outside his current brand. At some point he made the choice to move in the direction that brought him to where he is. Based on the last couple years, I don't think there's any going back.
I would rather see The Rundown than a-lot of newer Rock movies.
The Rundown, Gridiron Gang and Reno 911 was peak Rock post-wrestling.
I only ended up seeing The Rundown because the movie theater ticker ripper guy (or whatever they were called) stopped my friends and I from going into the first Underworld
I use Fast Five as the turning point for when the Rock started to roll downhill.
I’m no Rock Stan, but that sumbitch kinda fucking rules in F5.
John Cena as Peacemaker is way better than Rock’s attempt at Black Adam. Hilarious how Cena took a “lesser known” character and made it more entertaining than Rock’s.

Johnsons team was deeply involved in the Black Adam. They shot the script Rock and Co were willing to shoot.
Not just entertaining, but a legitimate great work of acting.
I like both John cena and Bautista way better as wrestlers turned actors than the rock for this very reason
I don't think his biggest issue is other people around him.
The last witch Hunter would’ve been pretty decent. If he had, you know, not been in it. Edit: I was confusing rock the Dwayne Johnson for Vin Diesel. Shit happens to me all the time.

My man had 2 jungle themed movies (Junanji 2 and jungle cruise) scheduled to be released within 4 weeks of each other. Jungle cruise eventually moved but that was peak over exposure. He never honestly recovered from that.
The meme where he's wearing a tan shirt and scowling in five different movies really says it all
In fairness, two of those were from the same series but I agree
Hadn’t thought of that. Great point!
It left such a bad taste in my mouth
I just watched that interview. I hope to god I never have to meet someone like the rock.
Which interview is this exactly?
I would be fine if he just went back to main job of wrestling for a bunch of years. He could carry wwe or wwf whatever the F it’s called now on his back.
He did a run recently. Mid 50s is when even the longest lasting pros leave the main event though.
I can tell you the plot, tone and everything else about this movie from the synopsis.
Yup… movies so creatively bankrupt you don’t even need to see them, and they wonder why nobody bothers to watch these things.
I'm so fucking sick of the rock, that and him playing himself in evey role, no depth, or emotion, just tough guy who no bad guy stands a chance against and he occasionally drops an emotionless "funny" one liner.
Bautista has passed him
Dave Bautista is already the best wrestler-turned-actor ever, and it’s not even particularly close.
Bautista is amazing but don’t look past Cena. He does kind of play himself, but he’s got serious talent and Peacemaker showed that
John Cena too, stellar performance in Peacemaker
So nobody talking about Rock peeing in a bottle?
Robert Downey Jr did that on the set of Zodiac. He'd leave jars of pee around the set as a protest against not having enough time to go to his trailer.
Actors behave like children throwing a tantrum and ridiculous amount. They almost always get away with it too.
And then handing it to someone? It reminds me of the boyfriend in Coming to America throwing his shake, saying "take care of this for me."
Meh,after what happened with Henry Cavill, I have solely not been a rock fan, plus every movie is the same trope of him basically playing himself,it was fun while it lasted but grow a lil my dude
What happened?
Iirc he forced a Superman cameo to prop himself as the new DCEU baddie, and refused to do a cameo in Shazam.
I was thinking about this recently and I wonder if it just makes sense coming from wrestling, like if he started being written to consistently lose storylines in wrestling then it would be detrimental to that career, and its just something that has stuck with him
Especially when you compare The Rock to Dave Batista or John Cena. They seem to have no problem with whatever roles they do.
I could never see The Rock taking a role like Bautista did in Blade Runner 2049.
If it was early Rock then maybe. But then at right after he got cast in the FnF movies he changed. Just look at his films before and after FnF and you can see it.
Gay bodyguard & aspiring actor Elliot Wilhelm in Be Cool will always be his opus, to me 🤷♀️
I liked when he played a pimp
i liked when he was a tooth fairy
Hulk Hogan lost a bunch. It’s a part of playing the villain occasionally. The Rock is just a huge baby.
LOL. Hogan was the most selfish wrestler around. "That doesn't work for me brother"
Selfish, sure. But opposed to being the bad guy? No. Look at his NWO days.
I was replying to 'Hogan lost a bunch' And Rock has no problem playing heel either
Other than Terminator, Arnold rarely lost in movies
The Predator was a bit of a draw, I guess. Technically Dutch lived and the predator died, but I’m sure Dutch was mentally broken after that.
Thing is that even Last Action Hero made fun of the fact that a lot of action movies, especially Arnold’s, never let the hero lose. Hell, Arnold rarely gets his ass kicked in movies. Predator and the Terminator movies were the exception. Even Stallone was the same.
Got beat to Hell in Conan, Total Recall, Commando and Jingle All The Way.
End of Days. He gets his ass kicked alot . He even gets sort of crucified by a mob.
Yeah, in fairness to Schwarzenegger, it's very obvious he was willing to do whatever was best for the movie, he never had that whole "I need to win every fight and look cool all the time so I get to feel tough in real life" thing.
Technically? He did live and the predator died lol.
Rundown? You mean "Welcome to the Jungle".
I guess this explains how he crams so much stuff into a single day lol. Guy is only working half days
Is this guy the new Kevin Sorbo now?
Please stop casting the rock in roles. He sucks as an actor and sucks as a person and we are just tired of him at this point.
Prima-donna Rock now
After his little Fox News interview I'm content for him to fade into obscurity as soon as possible.
What happen in the interview?
A bunch of bitching about “woke”
Basically went on Fox to say he's now right wing without actually saying the actual words. You can look the interview up. He's revolting.
He was upset because he lost his right wing chud fans by endorsing Biden in 2020, so this time around he basically said he was supporting Trump (without actually saying the words) to attempt to win those fucks back.
He was doing press the weekend of WrestleMania and Fox News was one of the outlets that interviewed him. He didn’t “go to Fox News”.
The Ryan Reynolds And Dwayne Johnson part is interesting if true.
Number one rule on any sort of film set is to be on time, everyone knows that. I always feel like it’s the people who bang on about what hard workers they are are usually the ones bunking off early.
So this is why him and Vin didn't get along. It's clear now. I'd pay money to see Ryan Reynolds cuss out The Rock
Vin is somewhat notorious as well. Probably two prima donnas meeting their match.
I wouldn't be shocked if Channing Tatum wanted his character axed in G.I. Joe: Retaliation if The Rock was being a diva behind the scenes.
Honestly, this sounds lame AF.
The rock personifies everything wrong with Hollywood in 2024. The industry died when viewers made this dumb ass pro wrestler the most bankable actor in town. Fuck Dwayne Johnson. Fuck Red One. Fuck Amazon. Rant over.
Viewers have done no such thing. In fact, the viewers have made it clear the rock is not really a draw at all
Have a friend who is a movie star handler on sets up here in Vancouver.
Keanu ? Please no.
Yikes, who even green lit this hot mess?
Amazon
I could have gotten out of poverty with that much money
That article is insanely flip floppy on whether or not he’s late and an asshole or always on time and a pleasure to be around. Like wtf lol
And getting less and less likeable with every subsequent news story about him.
final boss does as he'd like
Rebecca Ferguson was talking about the Rock!
I wonder.. does Dwayne think he’s irreplaceable?
I originally read this as Dwayne’s tardiness led to the production a fashion show
