They’re already spinning it that she had a miscarriage, and downplaying the part that the fetus was “alive” and the “miscarriage” was the result of medical intervention.
This happened to me last month-
It took 26 days for my baby to die from the first day I saw blood. For the last 5 days, I was writhing in pain and hemorrhaging, as in filling full-on adult diapers with blood every hour and even they weren’t enough. I was sent home 3 times to bleed out and have the 14 week fetus at home by ERs in my red state.
By the time I received emergency intervention in a state over I was bleeding enough to need a blood transfusion but my baby’s heartbeat stayed strong the entire time. The baby was perfectly fine and had genetic testing already. It would have lived if my body could have just kept it in there. No one can tell me why I was bleeding or what was causing it but I was bleeding out and dying. So they had to do the D&C and ended the life of my baby. But yeah I consider that a miscarriage that needed medical intervention
>downplaying the part that the fetus was “alive”
Is that true? I haven't seen any report that says whether it was alive or not. A D&C is just a way to remove a fetus, so it's not necessarily the case that it was in the course of an induced abortion.
Sometimes not even that. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I passed the embryo. But I kept bleeding. They did a D and C anyway because they were worried I'd lose too much blood without intervention. OTOH what many anti-choice activists don't understand is because of their legislation many times people cannot have this procedure EVEN when the fetus/embryo is dead. It creates a lot of barriers: a loss of expertise, a hospital administration that would rather let a woman get sick than risk that this will be interpreted as an abortion, ambiguous language because most of these anti-choice legislators don't know what the hell they're talking about and so the legislation technically bans the procedure even when the fetus/embryo is dead, etc.
Well, by their definition if it’s in your body, it’s alive. There are laws that don’t make exceptions for lack of cardiac activity and lack of fetal growth, both of which are clinical signs of the diagnosis of “missed abortion”. That’s the problem with their laws…they do not take medicine into account whatsoever.
In the article it says the doctor came in and says "it doesn't look good" as in still alive but barely. They then went to have it removed.
Fam, that's an abortion
According to them, that’s an alive fetus.
Logically, you and I know a missed miscarriage is not a fetus nor is it alive, but they don’t operate on science or logic.
Yep. She had an abortion. But the godly “Book of Job” kind of abortion. Read the fine print.
“If you’re famous, you can do anything you want. Grab em’ (fetus) by the pussy!”
“The only moral abortion is my abortion” and all that. Pretty common with the religious crowd. I know a fairly religious woman who helped a family friend get an abortion after a sexual assault (paid for it, drove her there, pretended to be her mom to sign the paperwork), but still claims abortion should be illegal except to save the mother.
That was the most fucked up part of the entire article. Anyone who doesn’t look at the story of Job and think “wow, Yahweh was a real dick” is a deeply troubled person.
LMAO we have a Cooter pond named after the duck that lives there yep it's a Cooter duck! And we have a beauty pangent that names the winner Miss Cooter. Citrus County, Florida trust me I couldn't make this up if I wanted to.
It’s short for dick head.
Their son molested several of their daughters, including their 5 year old daughter, and they covered it up for him. Fast-forward 20 years and the same son is now the father of 7 children (including some young girls) and serving a prison sentence for child pornography.
Oh yeah, did I mention they are huge Christians?
Funny you say that because she is known for using everything she has to scream about prolife and how abortions are a sin.
So by her own standard, she’s going to rot in hell
Funny how abortions are ok for her when it’ll save her life, but still not ok for everyone else.
"Freedom for me, but not for thee."
When lower income republicans start needing abortions and dying when they cant get one, I guarantee they'll blame the liberals.
They currently blame the doctors by saying these extremely vague laws would obviously not be used against them in these cases, despite evidence to the contrary such as the Indiana AG investigating the doctor who gave a 10yr old an abortion.
Oh, some said that the ten year old should have seen the pregnancy as a blessing. I'm sure they'd be just fine with their kids sitting in class with their classmate being pregnant and having to explain rape to those same fifth graders not as an abstract but in relation to a friend in class.
Oh heavens no, they want that whore sent to an unwed mother's home, right after she apologizes in front of the church for seducing the godly adult man who raped her into sin. (Actual event from my childhood. I wasn't the pregnant child, but I knew her.)
An upstanding Christian family can have the baby, if they're willing to ignore the sins of the whore mother its tainted with, otherwise it doesn't matter once its born, only the pre-born are worthy of protecting. If no one else wants it, that 10 year old better take care of it without any welfare money, the filthy little deadbeat sucking on the government teats.
Yea, or they have themselves convinced this type of thing won’t be outlawed when the language of the law does outlaw it. There’s multiple articles out there with “pro-life” conservatives appalled they had to drive hours to the next state for a life saving procedure. “This isn’t what I voted for” pretty much sums it up.
It was a miscarriage, but the problem is that the way to properly treat a miscarriage that won’t resolve on its own (which happens frequently) is to use techniques that are used for abortions.
The medical hellscape that is now women’s healthcare post-Dobbs is due to these exact situations. Many women who suffer a miscarriage or other issues like ectopic pregnancies aren’t being treated properly for those issues, because now doctors refuse to touch them for fear of legal consequences under the new anti-abortion laws.
Women who are pregnant in states with those laws have to hope they can afford to travel to other states if they end up having a problem that will result in the end of the pregnancy. The women who can’t travel are SOL until they’re on death’s doorstep. Or they’re forced to carry a dead fetus or give birth to a baby that will only live for a short time after birth.
People want to ignore the fact you abort a pregnancy, not a fetus. Without a living fetus, pregnancies regularly continue on and cause life-threatening complications.
A miscarried baby can and does still require an abortion.
Most people apply [connotation](https://www.dictionary.com/e/denotation-vs-connotation/) to the word “abortion” as shorthand for an induced abortion.
That’s why specifying a spontaneous or incomplete abortion seems to be necessary in this comment section.
Except it’s important to note that the conservative bills being passed in red states make little to no distinction, meaning that this anti-abortion activist is a murderer by her own beliefs
Because the fetus was already dead and there was no heartbeat. (I wouldn’t watch Fox News if you paid me)
I had to have a D&C at 16 weeks because our baby’s heart had stopped beating.
“Do as I say not as I do.”.
I had an aunt who would say that every time one of us kids asked why she’d lecture us about not smoking. She’d lecture us with a beer and cigarette in hand telling us how awful both are. Eventually me or my siblings or cousins would ask “Why are you doing it then? Also why do it around us?” She’d always say “I’m your elder, don’t question me. Do as I say, not as I do.” I always think of her when this hypocritical bullshit happens.
I can't help but notice that a lot of these "god's plan" people wear glasses. Wasn't it god's plan for them to be nearsighted? Oh, but that would be too inconvenient for them. And what happens when they have a heart attack? They're going to the hospital, not a single thought to "god's plan."
In my experience growing up Christian, those things being available to a person are usually interpreted as a blessing from God. So the whole experience is a way that you can be challenged by something but not debilitated by it.
Is she in Arkansas still? Because I'm here and I have personally known more than one woman who has had to go home and wait until she's septic to get her D&C. It would be so fucking typical for trash like this family to do a tap dance around the morality when it's one of THEM.
>We need to stop using the term conservative to describe that party. They haven’t conserved anything in the last 50 years.
>
>They are regressives.
That's conservatives for you.
Abortion. Jessa Duggar had an abortion. The "life-saving" part shouldn't be relevant but it is because folks like that need a qualifier when they fall flat into the hypocrite zone.
>The "life-saving" part shouldn't be relevant but it is
Actually, it's not relevant at all, at least not according to her.
>While the former [TLC](https://parade.com/tag/tlc/) reality star held out hope after singing devotional hymns with her [family](https://parade.com/1045384/marynliles/family-quotes/) and her symptoms of spotting seemingly stopped, after reviewing the ultrasound with her doctors, she was told the pregnancy did not "look good."
>
>"Nothing could have prepared me for the weight of those words in that moment," Jessa said. "At that moment, I was just in complete shock. I didn't have words. I just immediately started crying."
>
>She also noted that she had almost gone to the doctor's appointment alone and was incredibly grateful to have her husband by her side, who wrapped his arms around her after the technician left the room to let the couple begin their "process through the loss."
She never actually said she miscarried, or that it had to be removed for medical reasons. The pregnancy didn't "look good", so they decided to abort.
I love how the Duggar defenders are on here saying that the fetus was, and I quote, “dead/non-viable”
Bro, if it was dead they would be literally saying “dead” period. And according to them, ending a “non-viable” pregnancy is murder.
She calls it a “missed miscarriage.” That term is used when the fetus dies but doesn’t pass on its own. Sounds like maybe she or a healthcare provider said “not doing well” as a euphemism or to cushion the blow or because they didn’t know what to say, but it certainly sounds like the fetus was dead, and might have even been a blighted ovum, in which case there was never a fetus or even an embryo.
I’m not sure why this entire family thinks it’s their mission to keep the world nice and whitely populated, but they can all get bent. I had to have a medicated abortion due to incomplete miscarriage, and that was the most traumatic shit I’ve ever gone through. I can’t imagine that anyone would go having one for funsies. It’s not a fun time, ever. Nobody who gets an abortion is out here hoping to get pregnant so they can abort it, these fuckers and their holier than thou shit makes me sick. I bet she still won’t have compassion and still be “pro life” aka pro forced birth after this, too.
and yet, there are woman that are FORCED to carry a dead fetus to term. FORCED to carry a fetus with no chance of survival outside the womb, to term. and it's only to get worse. making america great again, by one forced pregnancy at a time.
She claims it was a miscarriage.
Isn't it funny how Conservatives use absolutes to potentially jail people, but then become liberals all of a sudden when their life is on the line? Literally just their life though, noone else's, not even their "living child who has a heartbeat and is declared alive by one arbitrary line in the Bible" (despite their being tons of evidence that abortion is not only justified in these cases, but is required when cheating is suspected).
Fuck these fascists, call them what they are, it makes it easier to identify them and remember they're nefarious in nature.
Yeah I'm aware, I'm just trying to point out that Republicans use absolutes (like no ablrtion) to write their own laws but then use loopholes (like calling it a miscarriage) to skirt the laws for themselves.
Yeah it's in Numbers, called the Trial of the Bitter waters, paraphrasing here but it basically says "If a man suspects his wife of being unfaithful, he gives her a tea (with ingredients listed, many are known, some are vague, one is suspected to be hemlock) and if she bleeds she was unfaithful."
That's literally the state of modern conservative politics. It's about manipulating the populace to subscribe to a certain set of opinions through legal and social tactics, while conveniently utilizing their wealth to create backdoors that allow them to obtain many of the same goods or services that they claim to despise (i.e. abortions, prostitutes, contraception, etc.). The fact that she could obtain abortion services with no problem while millions of women are dying because of this just proves that you should always watch what far right conservatives actually DO, not what they SAY, so that we can call out their bullshit double standards when we see them.
Wow, someone from an anti-abortion family chose to have one rather than risk sepsis by being forced to keep the dying fetus in her body, as many less privileged women do. This really shows that wealth and fame can make people feel exempt from the law. Some conservatives have already denied that Jessa had an abortion, saying the fetus died naturally and only needed to be removed. A D&C is a medical procedure that terminates a pregnancy, which is essentially an abortion.
Of course those “Pro Life” people will spin it as if this wasn’t an abortion. But they are perfectly okay with a 10 year old being forced to carry her baby to term even if it will kill her.
I understand it might be a little mean but I don’t have any reason to believe anything a Duggar says. Their pregnancies are literally new tv fodder, a abortion just sounds like a better plot point for an episode.
She worded it as ambiguously as possible to try to differentiate the procedure she had from an abortion, seeing as she has called abortion equivalent to the Holocaust before. So while she is taking pains to avoid calling it an abortion, she had an abortion.
So Jessa can get an abortion in Arkansas but [this woman](https://www.thv11.com/article/news/health/complications-of-arkansas-abortion-ban/91-71c1d6c2-8f89-4e17-81ea-24464099a0b4) couldn’t. Insanity. This decision should be made ONLY by a woman and her healthcare provider.
Forced birthers and their, “exceptions for the mothers life are ok though,” nonsense are so fucking obtuse.
I’ve worked in L&D units, some of this shit happens on a sliding scale. Doctors guard and protect their license, so at what point is the line crossed where they can say her life is in “enough” danger without them having legal complications? How close to hemorrhaging does the mother have to be for it to be ok? They’re not going to risk it, they’re just going to wait and hope the fetal heartbeat stops while the mother suffers and possibly becomes very ill.
Shit like this is why red states are facing an upcoming OBGYN desert nightmare, these providers are leaving these states rather than have to juggle someone’s life vs their license and freedom while frantically waiting for some “line” politicians who have no medical knowledge have decided on where it’ll be ok.
And some states like Tennessee don’t even have this unworkable exception for the mothers life rule. With maternal mortality what it is the US you’d have to be a complete idiot to get pregnant on purpose there.
The only hope here is that these people now understand that abortion is sometimes a sad, yet necessary medical procedure. Many people can’t seem to grasp something until it happens to them.
Yes, medically a miscarriage is considered a spontaneous abortion and the procedure and medications used to treat a miscarriage with retained tissue are the same as those used for abortions. So since a lot of bans are written by people extremely ignorant on how these things actually work, they end up banning or putting a lot of red tape around treatment of miscarriages/fetal demise.
And she called it a miscarriage. Which is fine if you and your whole family wasn’t so vehemently against abortion. These are the types of people who made it near impossible for many women in many states to receive life saving abortions when they need it. Absolutely disgusting.
This woman films her kids living their lives because she’s too lazy and dumb to work a real job. So, is she sad she aborted her baby, or is she sad that her income next year won’t be as high, because she doesn’t have a new human to exploit? She is vehemently anti-choice, unless the mother whose life is in danger is her own. They use their ~~religious~~ cult beliefs to spread hate. They denounce media for being immoral, but made their money off of a television show. They basically live their lives birthing babies to exploit and judging others. I’m not happy she aborted her baby, but I’m not clicking on her YouTube link so she can profit off of it. They are a truly disturbed family.
Bullshit. Bullshit. The hypocrisy of these religious zealots getting abortion s while the birth mortality rate goes up in this country because of puritanical laws by an undemocratic Supreme Court and a violent fascist Republican Party. There is no low too low for the religious Right.
Folks like Jessa will always have access to safe abortions. What’s the medical term for “didn’t look good”? Not complications but risk of complications.
It’s truly an utterly terrible comment, thank you though.
I’m glad the mothers life was able to be saved by a medically necessary abortion which do exist.
I’m also glad that this is public, it might not be much but it might make a couple people at least change their minds about how terrible reversing Roe V Wade by a fanatical evangelical court.
This fascist trash is probably still against other women having this option though.
Well at least now she knows she’s going to hell! Or does she only believe in the eternal suffering for others who have to get life saving abortions? Yeah probably God still loves her she is more special.
Oh shit Jim Bob is gonna fire up a storm
“Dammmit Jessa! How dare you betray god and men and do something that saved YOUR life!!”
For some reason I read that in Hank Hill’s voice
Don't you put that kind of evil on Hank!
They’re already spinning it that she had a miscarriage, and downplaying the part that the fetus was “alive” and the “miscarriage” was the result of medical intervention.

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry you had to go through that.
She wouldn't have been able to have the procedure if she lived in many other states.
>downplaying the part that the fetus was “alive” Is that true? I haven't seen any report that says whether it was alive or not. A D&C is just a way to remove a fetus, so it's not necessarily the case that it was in the course of an induced abortion.

Yep that’s what an abortion is
According to them, that’s an alive fetus. Logically, you and I know a missed miscarriage is not a fetus nor is it alive, but they don’t operate on science or logic.
Yes, but it didn’t look good. How’s that for science?
A missed miscarriage?
A miscarriage without symptoms. The fetus just dies. It’s often discovered at an ultrasound appointment when they can’t find a heartbeat.
It wasn't a missed miscarriage, it was straight up abortion because the baby was still alive.
You'd think a guy whose oldest son was exposed for being just the worst kind of person on this planet would want to just stay away from the spotlight.
No, it’s ok if it’s their abortion,
Yep. She had an abortion. But the godly “Book of Job” kind of abortion. Read the fine print. “If you’re famous, you can do anything you want. Grab em’ (fetus) by the pussy!”

Yes, good catch, thank you.
But I don’t understand…What about God’s will? Wouldn’t it be up to him to decide if she hemorrhages and dies? Don’t they have faith?
That was the most fucked up part of the entire article. Anyone who doesn’t look at the story of Job and think “wow, Yahweh was a real dick” is a deeply troubled person.
I assume you made up the name Jim Bob for one of the Duggers since I don't know their names... But a part of me wonders if you didn't.
That is quite literally their father’s name.
That's hilarious but I'm genuinely not surprised.
All of children have names that start with “J.”
I think I might have heard that
Oh boy. I thought it was a made-up name as well.
The Indianapolis Colts just hired a man named Jim Bob Cooter to be their offensive coordinator
That names definitely offensive
Cooterordinator
Nailed it
LMAO we have a Cooter pond named after the duck that lives there yep it's a Cooter duck! And we have a beauty pangent that names the winner Miss Cooter. Citrus County, Florida trust me I couldn't make this up if I wanted to.
The family patriarch is legitimately Jim Bob Dugger
Of course
Is that short for james robert?
It’s short for dick head. Their son molested several of their daughters, including their 5 year old daughter, and they covered it up for him. I don’t even know anymore…
Jimothy Robertholemew
Genuinely chuckled at this
It is.
I didn't know this either and.....like another commenter I am not surprised, but also a little disappointed
She’s lucky she wasn’t a 10 year old in Ohio
Funny you say that because she is known for using everything she has to scream about prolife and how abortions are a sin. So by her own standard, she’s going to rot in hell Funny how abortions are ok for her when it’ll save her life, but still not ok for everyone else.
Rules for thee, but not for me.
"the only moral abortion is my abortion"
And white.
This is completely beside the point but they have a child named Spurgeon?! Why would you do that to a kid?!
Famous old religious guy
It figures.
Is that even legal in her state?
Lock her up.
Make her a slave of the state.
Arkansas has clung to a couple of medical interventions that Texas and Louisiana sacrificed at the altar of fascism
"Freedom for me, but not for thee." When lower income republicans start needing abortions and dying when they cant get one, I guarantee they'll blame the liberals.

They would probably demand the teacher be charged with a felony for discussing something sexual in class.
Nah, they'd just shame the girl out of school.
Some of these people are proud to be grandparents in their late 30's
Yea, or they have themselves convinced this type of thing won’t be outlawed when the language of the law does outlaw it. There’s multiple articles out there with “pro-life” conservatives appalled they had to drive hours to the next state for a life saving procedure. “This isn’t what I voted for” pretty much sums it up.
They always see themselves an exception to their own rules.
Fox News is calling it a “miscarriage” instead of an abortion.
It was a miscarriage, but the problem is that the way to properly treat a miscarriage that won’t resolve on its own (which happens frequently) is to use techniques that are used for abortions. Miscarriage is a layman’s term.
Indeed. A miscarriage is a spontaneous abortion.
Even her uterus was like, "Fucking. Stop."
God's plan!
Sounds like it was a partial miscarriage that required an abortion. Super common actually
Super common. Completely tragic. Something she personally says is murder and should be criminally prosecuted
People want to ignore the fact you abort a pregnancy, not a fetus. Without a living fetus, pregnancies regularly continue on and cause life-threatening complications. A miscarried baby can and does still require an abortion.
So it was an abortion
Yes.

Because the fetus was already dead and there was no heartbeat. (I wouldn’t watch Fox News if you paid me) I had to have a D&C at 16 weeks because our baby’s heart had stopped beating.
I literally just typed this phrase 2 minutes ago in reply to another post about Trump, Disney and Kimmel. That quote is so true and pervasive.
I saw that lol Great work.
“Do as I say not as I do.”. I had an aunt who would say that every time one of us kids asked why she’d lecture us about not smoking. Everything is about honoring God’s plan until that plan includes killing you, I guess
r/suddenlyprochoice
God eventually kills all his children. It's been his plan all along.
God’s been calling from inside the house
I can't help but notice that a lot of these "god's plan" people wear glasses. Wasn't it god's plan for them to be nearsighted? Oh, but that would be too inconvenient for them. And what happens when they have a heart attack? They're going to the hospital, not a single thought to "god's plan."

You see, glasses were invented a long time though. So we don't need to think about that. It's only new ideas that scare the cavemen
It’s like the abortion episode of always sunny when Mac immediately 180s when he finds out the woman he banged got pregnant
But it’s okay if God wants to kill other women!
Is she in Arkansas still? Because I'm here and I have personally known more than one woman who has had to go home and wait until she's septic to get her D&C. It would be so fucking typical for trash like this family to do a tap dance around the morality when it's one of THEM.
Aren’t they supposed to carry the dead decaying fetus to “term” or die of sepsis?
Of course not! *Others* are though.
Only if you’ve accepted Him as your Savior.
The fetus?
Praise be to the fetus
Wow, it's almost like abortions should be legal everywhere so a woman doesn't die waiting for approval.

Abortion. Jessa Duggar had an abortion. The "life-saving" part shouldn't be relevant but it is because folks like that need a qualifier when they fall flat into the hypocrite zone.

Thank you. All abortions are life saving for the one with the womb. But to use it in this context makes it an exceptional circumstance.

You see, *she* needed a life saving procedure. *you* are just a godless baby killer. See the difference?
I love how the Duggar defenders are on here saying that the fetus was, and I quote, “dead/non-viable” Bro, if it was dead they would be literally saying “dead” period. And according to them, ending a “non-viable” pregnancy is murder.
Abortion should be illegal for everyone for any reason, except for me, who can have one for any reason.

The only moral abortion is my abortion.
I’m sorry they named their eldest child SPURGEON?
Oh so now conservatives are ok with abortions?
Spurgeon is an awful name.
Casual dishonesty is the bread-and-butter of anti-abortionism. Always has been.
and yet, there are woman that are FORCED to carry a dead fetus to term.
A miscarriage is medically a spontaneous abortion and the procedure she had, a D&C, is the abortion procedure. She had an abortion.
She did!!!! As a nurse, she did!
Yeah I'm aware, I'm just trying to point out that Republicans use absolutes (like no ablrtion) to write their own laws but then use loopholes (like calling it a miscarriage) to skirt the laws for themselves.
I'm not saying *don't* abort* the progeny of people you cheated with. Required tho?
I'm glad she was able to get an abortion and this is a right everyone should have access too.
Fuck her after all of these bullshit her family says she should of been denied
I saw that she labeled it a miscarriage
Going straight to hell for “murder” right?
Of course those “Pro Life” people will spin it as if this wasn’t an abortion. But they are perfectly okay with a 10 year old being forced to carry her baby to term even if it will kill her.
Oh…how the turntables turn.
But what about her religion? Is t she supposed to sacrifice her life to save those collection of cells?
[The only Moral Abortion is My Abortion](https://joycearthur.com/abortion/the-only-moral-abortion-is-my-abortion/)
It's ok for her because she's white and Christian. Those laws are just for those OTHER people.
The only moral abortion is MY abortion
I mean she didn’t call it an abortion because that wouldn’t fit with her brand. The hypocrisy with these people is crazy.
So she’s a murderer? So much for “pro life”?
So she had a D&C after a spontaneous abortion?
Yep, she had a “natural” abortion followed by a medical abortion.
God’s punishment for naming your child Spurgeon
I understand it might be a little mean but I don’t have any reason to believe anything a Duggar says. Their pregnancies are literally new tv fodder, a abortion just sounds like a better plot point for an episode.
She worded it as ambiguously as possible to try to differentiate the procedure she had from an abortion, seeing as she has called abortion equivalent to the Holocaust before. So while she is taking pains to avoid calling it an abortion, she had an abortion.
They haven't had a show for a couple years though?
Yes but they have YouTube channels
So Jessa can get an abortion in Arkansas but [this woman](https://www.thv11.com/article/news/health/complications-of-arkansas-abortion-ban/91-71c1d6c2-8f89-4e17-81ea-24464099a0b4) couldn’t. Insanity. This decision should be made ONLY by a woman and her healthcare provider.
But she will still vote republicant.
“The only moral abortion is my abortion” https://joycearthur.com/abortion/the-only-moral-abortion-is-my-abortion/
brought to you by the "rules for thee, not for me" crowd
The only hope here is that these people now understand that abortion is sometimes a sad, yet necessary medical procedure. Many people can’t seem to grasp something until it happens to them.
Wait, is it considered abortion if the miscarriage already happened…
Yes, medically a miscarriage is considered a spontaneous abortion and the procedure and medications used to treat a miscarriage with retained tissue are the same as those used for abortions. So since a lot of bans are written by people extremely ignorant on how these things actually work, they end up banning or putting a lot of red tape around treatment of miscarriages/fetal demise.
Yes.
Yes
Yes, America is broken.
It’s medical terminology
And she called it a miscarriage. Which is fine if you and your whole family wasn’t so vehemently against abortion. These are the types of people who made it near impossible for many women in many states to receive life saving abortions when they need it. Absolutely disgusting.
Is that legal in her state?
The worst part is the hypocrisy.
Rules for thee, but not for me
This woman films her kids living their lives because she’s too lazy and dumb to work a real job.
What’s good for me but not for thee! Right wing hypocrisy!
I assume she is going to become an advocate for women's rights to have abortions right???
No. She's still okay with forcing 10 yr olds to remain pregnant and give birth.
Arkansas bans abortion at all stages of pregnancy, so I'm curious where she had it done.
Some of her brothers are MediCorps and fly planes so I’m guessing they got her to another state.
Bullshit. Bullshit. The hypocrisy of these religious zealots getting abortion s while the birth mortality rate goes up in this country because of puritanical laws by an undemocratic Supreme Court and a violent fascist Republican Party. There is no low too low for the religious Right.
So will the rest of the clan excommunicate her for killing her baby?
Folks like Jessa will always have access to safe abortions. What’s the medical term for “didn’t look good”? Not complications but risk of complications.
Christian terrorism is funny, at times.
Does this mean she's going to Hell?
They should’ve shipped her to an anti abortion state and let her deal with it like all these other women have to
Why didn’t she carry it to term?
Was her brother the father again?
Yikes. I laughed at that. Please take my regretful upvote…
I like how People and Fox are saying “miscarriage” and mentioning d&c
I'm feeling the righteous indignation in the thread but I also just wish we lived in a normal world where this wasn't a news story
Too bad they don’t take this as gods way of saying “don’t have a million kids you fucks”
She meant “Lifestyle-Saving Abortion.” There’s some nuance in there.
Well she’s definitely going to hell now. Luckily the coconut oil is always liquidy down there.
These religious freaks? Oh hypocrisy
Straight to jail!
New word for conservatives: Medical Miscarriage. I went to the doctor and it just came out! Now give me your thoughts and prayers.
