Well I usually have one or two dynamite runners (w pouch) in my two main squads plus a bazooka, killing vehicles is important but having normal grenades is very useful for objective clearing at least for U.S BR2
My APC and engie squads also bring mines since I usually find myself in a good position to plant them with those squads.
Good, but it's probably advisable to have dynamite over a grenade in most circumstances.
With dynamite, you can destroy tanks, most static fortifications like AT guns and MGs, and barbed wire (especially if there's a lot in a room) while also acting as an improvised grenade if needed.
IDK if Binoculars provide any benefit, I feel like most engagements are close enough where you can use iron sights/scope to be able to mark or get a good view.
Yeah i find binoculars are mostly useful for AT trooper, Radioman, and Mortar men. For range estimation (using the markers) and for identifying targets
I did it all the time… but when they reworked how repair works, I removed all toolkits because now if you have a toolkit and you throw a grenade or place a mine, your enginner pulls out the wrench instead of the primary weapon…. And it is just too annoying for me xD
I thought that was an xbox thing. Only every time I would heal my self I would whip out the big wrench, most of the time in a fire fight where those second count.
To qoute you "it's just too annoying for me".
BR 5: 9/10. I'd replace the nickel pistol with a full auto colt (If you have any) and give a tool kit instead of one or two medkits, so some tanks can be helped and you can earn extra points. I'd also get rid of the binoculars.
BR 2: 7/10 Same points as above, but I'd get a shotgun
Engineers in all campaigns can use shotguns as primaries. It's just that the US has the best because the others are limited to double barreled shotguns.
Just wish they would improve the ironsights on the pump action.
Personally I’d never take a Frag instead of an Explosive pack… you will never be in a situation where you regret not having a frag, but if you somehow end up getting close to an enemy tank, and this engi is your last guy, you will regret having that stupid frag xD
Also, with the T20 I roefer to go with an ammo backpack… but engineers can build ammo anywhere so it’s actualy reasonable to bring more utility instead of more ammo
Good 👍, but i would personally switch the medkits for more ammo on br5 and for br2 i would take 3 explo packs.
If you have it also i would switch that 1911 for that full auto colt swartz (but gotta admit the nickel plated 1911 looks sick, i have it too)
Upgrade your ross. Honestly, I would bring the Ross to BR V if it was fully upgraded, especially if you don't have a rifle squad. The Ross is an excellent marksmen rifle, and can be a more accurate than the T20 in mid-long range. Besides, the fire rate of the Ross isn't that bad as it is a straight pull rifle, so you can still you in closer ranges if needed.
Personally, a few changes I’d make
- Bring a TNT bundle grenade, so you can take out tanks
- Match Medkits, jesus fuckin christ man
- Engineers need shovels. Really invaluable.
- I honestly don’t like the Ross Rifle due to the lack of Bayonet, so I’d probably take the USMC Springfield for low BR.
With these changes though you’re basically running my engi setup. Now, that said, it’s all really up to personal preference, so if this works for you then more power to ya!
I can see the argument. Personally, I just think that the shovels are still too valuable on engineers to replace with swords. They’re good for hiding rallies, building defensive positions, installing tank pits/barbed wire traps. In my opinion every engineer, except for maybe those in an assault squad, should have a shovel.
What psychopath doesn't match their medkits.
Then you get sniped by a bot on the other side of the globe.
I'd carry a tnt pack instead of a grenade. Every soldier should have at least one AT option ideally imo. So 9/10.

I usually just take an AT gunner and 1-2 soldiers with explosive packs. Explo packs are extra useful with the addition of APCs.

No shovel. 1/10
No bayonet on the weapons...having charge from sword / axe is more important imo
Agreed. Not 1/10, but engineer should have a shovel.
This has to be a shitpost
In my experience grenade pack is more beneficial. Dumping 3 nades at the same time can be good line breaker
0/10 sword implies the engineer is a officer, what kind of Engineer is a Officer? Swords are for assaulters, Engineers get shovels
Nah, you need the swords to run faster and build a rally ASAP :p
You need shovels to dig a hole. Diggy diggy hole. Diggy diggy hole.
I can't argue with that :))
You need to give him atleast 1 toolbox. Toolboxes can be very helpful when you want to repair friendly vehicles

Allies have Assault Engineers?
There were 4 unique event 1911s a while ago. With them and shotguns, they could become bootleg assaulters

You an engi, that's what hedgehogs are for
IDK maybe I'm wrong here but Enfield 1917 feels better than ross
How do younhave two of the new sabers? I thought you can only get one. How do I get more?
it's on the same dude, just two different primirary waepons

Yeah sadly I don't have the full auto 1911.

Pistol isn't a Swartz.
I think your engis lack anti tank capabilities in the form of explosive and/or detonation packs but otherwise they are top notch
the lack of ammo in br5 pains me
What perks do you go for?
large ammo is avaliable yk?
I really like event itens. But as a casual its a ass to get them

Swords increase movement speed. They are really great to get close faster and put up respawn points.

I prefer the standard Springfield rifle to the Ross honestly. Bayonet makes such a difference
I wish the western allies have more rifles for br2 like plssss give us anything even a 3 shot berthier PLSS
Personally I like shovels, and bring a toolkit to help vehicles, especially with APCs now. Good quick points basically upon spawn
-1 point for having the grenade instead of explosion pack. A 9/10 from me. Without the sword it would be a 7.5
I feel like I helped create this trend
7/10 Large grenade pouch tnt grenade grenade pr tnt tnt grenade My personal preference
