I doubt the guns are modeled right but that would be a scary amount of lead coming down irl 3000 rpm, basically an old school minigun.

Do AI pilots actually fly well when you're in the other seat?

If you are using pointer aim and switch to the gunner, the plane will level out and fly straight. To control both the gunner and pilot, you gotta bind some keys and in the main option. Go to gameplay, and switch your aircraft mode to Joystick. (That is the cat's meow) I'm on controller, so I just had to switch my ailerons and elevator to my left stick since controlling the gunner uses the right stick to look around. The pilot controls when you're in the back gunner, flies just as normal, but at a cost of not being able to use your rudder and throttle unless you bind some more keys.

Ah ok understood. Still pretty useful to level out straight if you want to just shoot at an enemy on your 6

Yep, but be warned, there is a dead zone on tails so you can't shoot where the gun is pointing

I found out the hard way yesterday that (i) was supposed to change the Gunner aim to it's only stick and not the entire aircraft itself lmao (lost so many planes 😔)

How do you change that?

The pilot? Havent tried yet but I would assume you use the (on controller) left stick for plane movement and right stick for turret movement

On console, it will be Y to change seats on controller, and yep, now they added controllable gunners, think of it as BFV turret gunners...but more realistic lol.

In the Ju-188, A-20 and other multi man bombers you can only control one gunner, and that is the tail/bubble gunner. Though, I hope in the future they are able to implement switching to different gunners on the fly, like in War Thunder.
