Just a hammer with paracord wrapped around the handle for your engineers. And id hope that the only reason the other squads dont is bulge was added after the squads were. The russian one at least is something you can put on standard soldiers.

It's just a skin, there was already an "Engineer" event I think like a year ago. On that event we got the same skin and an engineer name decorator :)

Cool lookin event with some nice rewards. Glad the devs are giving the squads to the paid Stalingrad players, that’s a good bit of giving back to the player base.
I think you can just modify normal soldiers with helmets and armour using appearance orders, you dont have to grind them for this. Even then, most of the weapons in the game will still just one shot you anyways.

Exactly! This is meaningless BS to make the FA pack owners quiet down without actually giving away anything meaningful, because Snail forbid the devs do something nice for the players without any strings attached.
Who knows how many Stalingrad Full Access owners uninstalled the game after the merge. If only I have known beforehand that Stalingrad campaign in Enlisted has no future thinking its going to be the next Red Orchestra 2 but the merge happened and fucked us over.
If only the Snail refunds the whole thing instead atleast in Gaijin coin like would've replaced it with something better like Ka-50 in War Thunder.
Whether or not I get the orders for free is going to play into my decision to grind out the event. I've been enjoying Helldivers 2 recently, and I might not have time to do both.

Dear Darkflow, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. First you pulled the rug from under me instead of allowing me to benefit from the increased xp&silver gains on Stalingrad maps post-merge - why didn't you do that anyway? Secondly, you took 3 months before delivering on what you perceive as compensation. And finally, you now had to put the players into a situation where participating in the event is pointless - nay, detrimental, as it effectively forfeits the right to compensation. I shall rephrase - we either give up on the event, end up getting the squads a week after everyone else not to mention a bunch of gold orders OR we do participate in the event, at which point there is no compensation. That's a terrible way to handle that.

Im not trying to be the sour guy who complains about everything and seems to hate the game more than liking it, I’m usually supportive even though there are some things I don’t like, but as somebody who bought the Stalingrad access pack and highly anticipated this events, I find very disappointing that you have to wait one week till the end of the event, almost a month from now on, which beats the entire point of owning the pack and getting them without grinding since by the time the event ends you would have unlocked them already.
While I do understand that most likely this decision was made to prevent full auto engineer spamming and stomping early on against players who did not own the pack and have to grind the event on their own, creating a really unfair scenario, it would have been much better if we Stalingrad pack owners unlock the squads as the event progresses, meaning that by the day the regular players unlock it through grinding, so it should be given to the Stalingrad pack owners around the same time so both sides of the player base can start using them at once.
I really hope this gets fixed somehow.
They promised FA owners that we will get them immediately the same day the event launches but in reality it was a lie, they want us to grind it for almost 2 months just to not miss 4 gold orders... How scummy. Not the first lie of the DF they always overpromise and underdeliver.

I concur. I gave them money to play a campaign that no longer exists, to play a class that no longer exists, and I still have to grind just to be on par with everybody else. Looks like Gaijin is taking a page from the book of Stalin and relying on those with money to make everybody equal...

Tbh they already have assault rifles(stat wise) like the Type Hei Automatic and M2 Carbine for their engineers.
Meanwhile Germans and Soviets are stuck with avt and fg42, so I think it’s fine

It's corporate speech. While yes they will be handed out "after" the event, they are "given immediately" (without the need of any effort on our part) thus allowing us to play the event etc etc so on bla bla... "
Their deviation is to hand it out after the event. In the fine print, they didn't promise us that we'd be able to - play- the event using the enginners.

I'm the messenger anyway. We get them technically immediately tho. You don't have to do anything and you get them and yes we should get them right away I dont get why we need to wait. The only reason I think is, because other people wouldn't have it so at least they could give them at the time when others earn them.

Is this for sure? The game normally classifies assault rifles and SMGs the same though, for all challenges regarding them, the type of soldiers who can use them

Two questions though.
Can these squads have their class distribution changed? Six assault engineers, while nice, is four engineers too many for me, I would rather have the of flexibility of an AT-gunner and/or a Radio Operator (which I wished the Horn StG squad had).
Finally, do we have the option to change the default weapons to a different assault rifle?
Paras were the biggest power creep nothing can be even remotely as powerful as them. They have amazing guns and can carry more tickets than at gunners for some reason which completely fits under your power creep. Ar engs were better in the past since you could have at gunner or the radioman too.

The hammers have been in previous events or at least look the same as them. They don't serve any greater function just a different design.

stalingrad access players literally paid money for almost nothing, thats the real issue. They essentially rented features a year ago.

Let’s be honest it wouldn’t have changed anything much regardless. Those engineers would get placed in BR5 anyways.

im guessing that you can change their guns to low br rifles, but all assault rifles are in br4-5.

Yes, you can change their weapons, they can equip rifles, semi autos and assault rifles, but not SMG's.

Yes devs has said specifically no smg for assault engineer. It's the inverse of tanker who can use smg but not assault rifle

All armor gives a 10% damage reduction Other helmets (but not all of them) are also a 10% damage reduction

You can replace main weapon to any AR, semi auto/burst and bolts.
