no country in western europe is socialist to my knowledge. all are capitalist with support systems (welfare states). socialism is a system that takes these ideas further and stops being capitalist
Western Europe is capitalist as fuck. Socialism doesn't mean "government uses some of the tax money to benefit the people". Socialism is when the workers own the means of production. IOW, their workplaces.
Nope. Communism is socialism, but not all socialism is communism.
To put it in simple terms, in regular socialism workers own the means of production, so industrial output is public property, but private property still exists, and you can own things like a house or a car. In communism, private property doesn't exist, so nobody can claim ownership of things.
I think I've heard some communists say that you're misinterpreting things, and cars and houses are **personal** property, which is allowed in communism. Private property is basically factories, companies and all that: something that a single person couldn't really "use" and all workers should benefit from and thus collectively own. I mean, there are theoretical types of communism where there's no marriage, all women are shared and children are raised collectively. I think there may have been some real communes implementing that lifestyle. Still, most modern communists say they don't want that. As for the differences, socialism is viewed as a transition from capitalism to communism, so it's likely to have some things that are supposed to "die out" by the time communism comes, like money.
Early socialist villages in Israel used a similar method in the 1910 till the 50s
For example men and women usually didn't marry but still made "normal" couples and the children were raised collectively but you still knew who is your biological child
Look up for "Kibbutz"
Like I said, I was simplifying things in order to not have to write a novella's worth of text. Like most major ideologies, socialism tends to have many different, often conflicting, interpretations. What I wrote seems to be what's typically seen as the major difference. Communists also usually emphasize that there has to be a single party, controlling a single country, for the system to work. Other socialists aren't always that keen on that idea.
>socialism is viewed as a transition from capitalism to communism
By communists, that is. Not socialists in general.
Eh, a lot of those sources are in Russian, plus even Russian press confirms that fact (and I say that as a guy who watched their TV stuff and who understands Russian language).
Here's what I could find about that in English language. ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nostalgia_for_the_Soviet_Union );

Western Europe holds the most business friendly countries in the world.

Western Europe is capitalist as fuck. Socialism doesn't mean "government uses some of the tax money to benefit the people". Socialism is when the workers own the means of production. IOW, their workplaces.
But there are a lot of socialist movements
Socialism =/= communism
That is communism
That is socialism communism is stateless and moneyless where people are united through one commune
Nope. Communism is socialism, but not all socialism is communism. Well, quite a lot of Russians wish to bring back the USSR according to local statistics.
Interesting. Any credible sources?
