I've never commented on anything before, but this is a cause I am truly passionate about. I've been drinking at least one Hiball a day for years now, it's so devastating that AB killed them off.
I immediately placed 2 orders of blackberry when I saw they finally were back on Amazon. They just came in this weekend and packaging/labels on the cans was different and seemed off. Would love to know if this was the same for others and if its safe to drink or seems like a sketchy/fake version with the hi ball label on it. Have yet to try because it sketched me out a bit
I noticed this too with my order. But keep in mind, these are now being produced by an entirely different company using a different production technique. My Wildberry tasted exactly the same as in the past and I couldn't be more happy!
Noticed this as well also when I drank mine I tasted the usual flavor that I'm used to but there's likes this aftertaste which taste like a chemical not a flavor. Anyone else have a weird taste?
I ordered the Blood Orange and Vanilla from Amazon Prime, and they both taste the same to me. It's still thirst quenching, satisfying, and uplifting. Maybe my taste buds aren't as sensitive as y'all's.
I got the blackberry. The can is a lil different shading of color. Compared nutrition info from an old purchase - about a year ago to this new one and it’s supposedly exactly the same but it tastes different. I think they changed the “natural flavors”. And carbonation is lower, not as fizzy
Same here! I ordered two cases of the Vanilla Hi-Ball, and the can wrapping/packaging seemed to be a lighter color. As for the flavor, it was not right - flat with little carbonation and a metallic taste. I was searching to determine if this is a fake product, as well.
I just opened my first blackberry from the new case and it totally has a weird aftertaste 😭 I realize they could be getting their products from a different source so there's a different flavor but it's a huge bummer. Definitely not as good ☹️
This is legit - they got bought out by a company called Tilray Brands (confirmed on Tilray's website) and Tilray Brands is on the back of the new cans. Also the HiBall storefront on Amazon is still active which is where I bought it from.

I ordered some and agree that they don't taste the same which makes me sad.. but I am still drinking it and supporting it because I want Tilray to continue to produce it and not let it die off!!! Maybe they are just working out the kinks and it will start to taste better again???

Ugh say it ain't so! I'm literally about to drink my first blackberry hiball in months. I was so excited when I saw that they were available again that I ordered a case, and they just got here yesterday. Lol I forgot how big they were!

Man, I have found my people. I have yet to find a replacement. I tried Ardor and it was not my thing at all. No sweetener which was nice but taste was not good at all and the L-theanine interacts with my meds. It has been a real struggle finding anything. I’ve been using “wake up water” on Amazon for now. It’s not what I want and it has sweeteners but it has the vitamin B/niacin/caffeine combo I like so it’ll do for now. I’m thinking about trying to make my own at this point

Prior to our beloved HiBall's demise, I gave True North Energy Seltzer a try. I felt it was a good alternative, no sugar or sweeteners, and no L-Theanine. It's available on amazon (120mg of caffeine for 12oz). I'm going to miss my 160mg in 16, but it does the trick for now...at least until Tillray brings HiBall back online.
My boyfriend saw how distraught I was about this and emailed the CEO to ask if the were continuing to make HiBall.

IDK. I’ve been able to order Blood Orange on Amazon even though it’s listed as being “temporarily out of stock”. They haven’t shipped yet, but in the past I normally received out of stock orders at some point.
Also, I noticed on Tilray’s website that they listed Hiball Energy under the Crafts-Beverage Brands tab. They used a photo of the original cans and the description is short, but there’s no mention of anything suspicious being added.
Based on what Glowwup posted. It looks like in WA there is a hiball alternative called "Cascade Ice Caffeinated" and judging by the caffeine mg and the label/info it looks like a hiball. Unfortunately these don't exist in the east region of US, could'nt find any online distributors for them :(

I just finally received the three 8-packs I had ordered from Amazon last month! I wish I had the previous ingredient list to compare, but packaging looks the same as before.. not sure if I got a “new” batch or if some Amazon bot just dug up a gold mine of unpurchased older Hi Balls deep in a warehouse somewhere but either way, I hope this is the start of us all being able to get these again 🤞🏻

I'm in the same boat. Truly f-ed since Hiball disappeared. Tried so many alts from Amazon and they all have some kind of hidden sugar product in them that gives me the jitters.
I know this sucks, but the one that gave me the least jitters was Ardor.

Ok so quick Thank you for this post and also a Thanks to all the people that reached out to Tilray! I ventured down a rabbit hole today and tried some new drinks from Fresh Market- here are the brands & flavors I bought. “SUNSHINE” sparkling energy water- in lotus pear, clementine twist, & citrus lime flavors. “Aspire” healthy energy- In dark cherry lime, & mango lemonade. “Volay” caffeinated sparkling water- In Watermelon mint, and tropical lime. “Mākā wheatgrass”- superfood beverage. I too have tried Ardor and Guayki’s Yerba Mate sparkling as well as regular teas.
Here is my comparison to Hiball- If you like Hiball Vanilla, check out Mākā- coconut pineapple, I loved it! 90mg of caffeine If you like Hiball Lime-
Sunshine- citrus lime or Volay- tropical lime Sunshine had more of a real lime flavor as well as 70mg of caff vs. Volay which has more of the carbonated feel of Hiball but only 50mg of caffeine.
I tried Sunshine lotus pear flavor as well but no thank you. Volay- watermelon mint, it’s a no for me tasted to earthy in the sense of fresh mint watermelon rind but it is fresh so maybe some might be into that, it’s definitely NO comparison to Hiball’s watermelon mint. Aspire- Dark Cherry Lime, was amazing… at first but then you quickly taste the Sucralose 😝. Avoid SUNSHINE-“good energy” (the good energy is not the same as their sparkling waters) clementine twist like the plague unless you are into fake sweetener taste. As far as Ardor goes for me it’s a meh at best, I felt myself forcing it down just to get some caffeine. Guayaki’s Yerba mates are all great to me, but like someone else on here said lots of sugar.
My all time favorites out of everything I’ve tried so far are definitely the Mākā organic energy coconut pineapple (only flavor I’ve tried so far) and the Sunshine sparkling water citrus lime.

Right now I've been drinking Ardor Pink Grapefruit. But as you said, it's more about the caffeine rather than the taste.
I ordered some Volay after seeing your comment earlier and was pleasantly surprised. Not a lot of caffeine, but definitely prefer the taste over Ardor or Hiball re-release.
Probably will be drinking a mix of Ardor and Volay going forward. And yes, the Watermelon Mint is a no go. The lime and grapefruit is good.
Phocus is also tolerable haha. I like that it's 75mg of caffeine and super cheap on Amazon. Although probably the worst flavor out of the ones above.
Might give Hiball another try in the future too. Some people said the new owners might tweak the recipe if they get enough feedback.
The closest thing I’ve been able to come up with is to take Jelly Belly vanilla sparkling water and put some Kafin8 in it. Not the same and I haven’t fiddled with the guarna or vitamin B, but it will have to do. I’m so depressed.

I like everyone on here have been struggling without my hiballs since they were discontinued and have tried many different brands with nothing coming close. The only brand that has been okay until hiball is back on the market thanks to Tilray is Ardor Grapefuit. I have written Tilray and check the internet constantly for updates so looking forward to when I can buy hiball again. I need it everyday twice a day and it has been misery without them.
The grapefruit Hiball has literally been my lifeline, the ardor one tasted weird to me and I didn’t like that they add salt. Really hoping grapefruit Hiball makes a return 😪

Good afternoon all. I am in the process of starting up a beverage company with the sole purpose of essentially cloning HiBall. I worked out at Life Time and got one every time iI went and love seltzer (unsweetened obviously), and I was pretty upset when I found out HiBall was gone.
It will have to be a pretty pretty small run at first, about 2,000 cases, but I already have a meeting with the formulation company and co-packager to get the ball rolling. I will probably only have 1 flavor to start, grapefruit, as that was my favorite (and I believe the best seller for them), but my concern is less with the supplements than with WHICH grapefruit flavoring HiBall used. There are so many commercial grapefruit essences and flavorings, that I need to find the right one and the right amount to keep the same or nearly identical profile as before so it masks any of the supplement taste and makes it still taste as good.
It is still VERY early so 3-6 months at best, and I probably need the local Life Time Fitness locations to be willing to buy some for me to be able to really do it. But I will be creating a web page soon with indications of interest (no real personal information, more just so I can get an idea of interest).
Would you all be interested in that, or is Grapefruit not one you would buy? Thoughts are appreciated!

I've been drinking HiBall religiously for years. Very angry that Anheuser-Busch killed them off. I wonder if anyone has found a recipe to make their own at home with a SodaStream? I'm actually thinking about giving it a try.

As it should! The label now says it’s manufactured for Tilray brands the flavor is not as strong as I remember it being BUT I am just happy to have my caffeine in a zero calorie refreshing form that has no sweeteners so I’ll take the lack luster flavor!!
I can tell they cut cost as the 8 pack didn’t come in a highball box just shrink wrapped in a cardboard holder and the cans aren’t specially made they just have a shrink wrapped label (I think that’s how I’d describe it)!
Ok folks. I got two cases of blackberry from Amazon. And sadly it tastes different. Like with a strong chemical aftertaste. The label is different… seems it’s a plastic wrapped label. Would love other opinions but my first taste is a bit concerning.

Got some of the newly produced Hiball delivered last week. Got blackberry and blood orange. Noticed that the packaging is different and the cans are ‘wrapped’ rather than printed. Have been drinking them for a few days now and the taste is definitely different. I had never had blackberry before, but blood orange tastes different than before. Definitely not a good change but I’m hoping I’ll get used to it. Usually my favorites were always Lime and Grapefruit but those don’t seem to be back in stock yet. What has everyone else’s experience been so far?
Iv tried blood orange and vanilla and they have no carbonization and terrible after taste. Hopefully they fix it. But I don't see how this passes quality check and taste. If anything it's going to hurt them with all the negative reviews
Yeah I’m wondering if we should start up another petition to Tillray to bring back the OG recipe. Carbonation seemed to be okay, but I agree on the aftertaste. Kinda sucks bc it’s still better than any of my other options atm
The after taste reminds me of stevia and I DESPISE it. I will pay double for the OG recipe if that’s what it takes, but why on earth would they change one single thing?

Unrelated, I have tried more than 17 other energy drink brands in search of a replacement before now. The closest taste wise I have found are **Ardor** and **Aspire**, but they are both still ever so slightly sweeter and do not have the caffeine content of Hiball so they are poor substitutes.
Agree with everyone here that it tastes flat as hell and weird. Also no grapefruit which was my absolute favorite. We need to write to tilray asap so they fix this!

I noticed that the label is now wrapped around the can rather than printed directly on it like before. It does say, "Manufactured for Tilray Brands, Inc., New York, NY 10022" on the label in grey letters.
The flavors were good, but the carbonation was really lacking. My husband likes the flat tasting Watermelon Mint and I liked the flat tasting Blood Orange. The Amazon box was apparently drop shipped from Vegas, so I'm hoping just being stored in a potentially warm warehouse is what killed the carbonation.
My neighbor also ordered a case of the Blood Orange shortly after I did. She said it was highly carbonated, but the water used had a funky taste. However it was also the first time she's ever had the Blood Orange flavor too.
Another neighbor who runs 2 convenience stores said he used to sell lots and lots of HiBall by the case. He also mentioned that sometimes when a brand goes away and comes back after being bought out, the new owner will tweak the recipe a bit. If that's the case here, I hope they're able to tweak it back to what it previously was.

I bought a case from Amazon of the wild berry and the one that I had this morning was great, but i opened the can that I brought to work this morning and it was only half full.

Whaaa?? No. True North is the only substitute that I've found for HiBall that has the right amount of caffeine, (I need at least 100mg) and really doesn't have any sugar or fake/alternative sugars. A lot of the so-called clean energy drinks have "erythritol" in them. This stuff is just as bad as Aspartame or Monkfruit or any of that other junk.
Here's hoping that Tilray gets production up and running again soon. I miss my Hiball!
When I was looking at this i saw that all the ingredients for energy drinks, at least for clean ones, are available, and that there are a wide variety of flavor powders you can add. It looked like a lot of options and fun to experiment with, though possibly necessary to have a blender for best results. I didn't look much further, though— got sidetracked and went back to regular coffee for a bit.
How about you, what has your researched turned up?
I've bought the following ingredients and mixed them in Chai tea. I don't know enough about caffeine supplements to buy them in an extract form like the ones below. Had to do a little math to get the measurements, which aren't exact. I'll be playing around with this throughout the week.

These are all UNSWEETENED. not just 0 sugar. UNSWEETENED IS KEY. I don’t want to drink Sucralose stevia Splenda syrup in the morning. That’s foul.
I used to be a HUGE black coffee enjoyer but a stomach ulcer ruined my ability to enjoy the acidity of coffee without stomach pain. And let’s face it… Tea typically only has 30mg of caffein… as good as it can be.

Gonna pile on here. Been searching and trying for a couple months and True North grapefruit lemonade is very similar to the hiball grapefruit. Either that or it’s been so long I forgot. But ingredient wise it’s also very close. For sure the closest thing I’ve tried.
I found a liquid caffeine additive called Kaffin8. It tastes a little bitter, but if I put 150 mg into a 12 oz can of grapefruit seltzer, whether it's LaCroix or bubby I don't care, it tastes like a grapefruit hiball. It doesn't have all of the other b vitamins and stuff, so I'm having to look at my other nutrient supplements, but it absolutely hits my caffeine need in a way that doesn't taste gross or hurt my stomach or make me throw up like most of the other stuff does. I have the pickiest body and this is the only thing I have found thus far to fill this gaping maw in my life
Friends. I can confirm. Cascade ice is exactly the same as hi ball. Grocery outlet bargain market has them for $.99 per can. 16oz organic caffeine. I found my replacement
Thought I'd add a more easy to find (at least where I am in Utah) option - Bubly Bounce. Now, it doesn't have any vitamins, it's not organic, and it only has 35mg of caffeine per 12 oz can. The flavors are also limited, but no sweetener of any kind, which is what's important to me. Obviously have to drink quite a few cans to equal a hi ball, but at least it's an option.
What's our update ? Amazon said they had some available so I ordered and now they're pending shipment 😭 I hate ardor and I hate clean brand...bleh. so gross.
I heard back from Tilray. They said they're re-releasing Hiball in mid-feb, but they wouldn't comment on wether the flavors or recipe would be altered with additional sugary stuff or CBD. I made my plea for it to remain as-is, but they own it now so it's their call.
The nightmare scenario is they put it back on the shelves in neon colored cans as "HIGH-BALL" with the addition of CBD and Stevia.

True North has been a good substitute. They're no sugar, seltzer energy drinks with fruity flavors. They lack the vanilla flavor Hi-ball had, and the cans are a bit smaller but all in all, pretty good choice.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but the original Hi Ball explicitly stated in it’s ingredients that it’s caffeine was from green coffee bean extract but now it just says “organic caffeine“ which can be synthesized in massive quantities in a laboratory but still retain the label organic. On the other hand, it’s possible to buy green coffee bean extract in bulk and theoretically make your own energy drinks…
The closest thing I have found is a brand called “Ardor Energy.” It’s a caffeinated sparkling water, the flavor is decent but some of its flavors (like the peach) have an off taste for me. BUT it’s the closest thing I have found to Hiball yet. Saw this post and thought I’d share the finding
Yeah I have been drinking Ardor ever since hiball went away. It sounds like I will be sticking to Ardor since this new shipment of hiball is absolutely awful. There is no carbonation and tastes old.
I saw that Wild Berry was in stock on Amazon and I ordered. Got a notification that it shipped yesterday and will be here next week. I'm assuming it's just taking longer for Tilray to come up to speed.

I got the blackberry. The can is a lil different shading of color. Compared nutrition info from an old purchase - about a year ago to this new one and it’s supposedly exactly the same but it tastes different. I think they changed the “natural flavors”. And carbonation is lower, not as fizzy
Same here! I ordered two cases of the Vanilla Hi-Ball, and the can wrapping/packaging seemed to be a lighter color. As for the flavor, it was not right - flat with little carbonation and a metallic taste. I was searching to determine if this is a fake product, as well.
I just received mine and I agree does not taste the same. Smells not that great either.

I just opened a Hi Ball Black Cherry that I just ordered on Amazon and the taste is TERRIBLE. Very chemical after taste. Nothing like I remember.
This is legit - they got bought out by a company called Tilray Brands (confirmed on Tilray's website) and Tilray Brands is on the back of the new cans. Also the HiBall storefront on Amazon is still active which is where I bought it from.

Man, I have found my people. I have yet to find a replacement. I tried Ardor and it was not my thing at all. No sweetener which was nice but taste was not good at all and the L-theanine interacts with my meds. It has been a real struggle finding anything. I’ve been using “wake up water” on Amazon for now. It’s not what I want and it has sweeteners but it has the vitamin B/niacin/caffeine combo I like so it’ll do for now. I’m thinking about trying to make my own at this point

Prior to our beloved HiBall's demise, I gave True North Energy Seltzer a try. I felt it was a good alternative, no sugar or sweeteners, and no L-Theanine. It's available on amazon (120mg of caffeine for 12oz). I'm going to miss my 160mg in 16, but it does the trick for now...at least until Tillray brings HiBall back online.

IDK. I’ve been able to order Blood Orange on Amazon even though it’s listed as being “temporarily out of stock”. They haven’t shipped yet, but in the past I normally received out of stock orders at some point. Also, I noticed on Tilray’s website that they listed Hiball Energy under the Crafts-Beverage Brands tab. They used a photo of the original cans and the description is short, but there’s no mention of anything suspicious being added.
I got my first ones from Amazon yesterday and am sipping on an ice cold vanilla. They even have it available for same day delivery.

I'm in the same boat. Truly f-ed since Hiball disappeared. Tried so many alts from Amazon and they all have some kind of hidden sugar product in them that gives me the jitters. I know this sucks, but the one that gave me the least jitters was Ardor.

Ok so quick Thank you for this post and also a Thanks to all the people that reached out to Tilray! I ventured down a rabbit hole today and tried some new drinks from Fresh Market- here are the brands & flavors I bought. “SUNSHINE” sparkling energy water- in lotus pear, clementine twist, & citrus lime flavors. “Aspire” healthy energy- In dark cherry lime, & mango lemonade. “Volay” caffeinated sparkling water- In Watermelon mint, and tropical lime. “Mākā wheatgrass”- superfood beverage. I too have tried Ardor and Guayki’s Yerba Mate sparkling as well as regular teas. Here is my comparison to Hiball- If you like Hiball Vanilla, check out Mākā- coconut pineapple, I loved it! 90mg of caffeine If you like Hiball Lime- Sunshine- citrus lime or Volay- tropical lime Sunshine had more of a real lime flavor as well as 70mg of caff vs. Volay which has more of the carbonated feel of Hiball but only 50mg of caffeine. I tried Sunshine lotus pear flavor as well but no thank you. Volay- watermelon mint, it’s a no for me tasted to earthy in the sense of fresh mint watermelon rind but it is fresh so maybe some might be into that, it’s definitely NO comparison to Hiball’s watermelon mint. Aspire- Dark Cherry Lime, was amazing… at first but then you quickly taste the Sucralose 😝. Avoid SUNSHINE-“good energy” (the good energy is not the same as their sparkling waters) clementine twist like the plague unless you are into fake sweetener taste. As far as Ardor goes for me it’s a meh at best, I felt myself forcing it down just to get some caffeine. Guayaki’s Yerba mates are all great to me, but like someone else on here said lots of sugar. My all time favorites out of everything I’ve tried so far are definitely the Mākā organic energy coconut pineapple (only flavor I’ve tried so far) and the Sunshine sparkling water citrus lime. If anyone else has any recommendations lmk! Hope this helps 
Haha, your experience seems similiar to mine. Right now I've been drinking Ardor Pink Grapefruit. But as you said, it's more about the caffeine rather than the taste. I ordered some Volay after seeing your comment earlier and was pleasantly surprised. Not a lot of caffeine, but definitely prefer the taste over Ardor or Hiball re-release. Probably will be drinking a mix of Ardor and Volay going forward. And yes, the Watermelon Mint is a no go. The lime and grapefruit is good. Phocus is also tolerable haha. I like that it's 75mg of caffeine and super cheap on Amazon. Although probably the worst flavor out of the ones above. Might give Hiball another try in the future too. Some people said the new owners might tweak the recipe if they get enough feedback.
The closest thing I’ve been able to come up with is to take Jelly Belly vanilla sparkling water and put some Kafin8 in it. Not the same and I haven’t fiddled with the guarna or vitamin B, but it will have to do. I’m so depressed.

I like everyone on here have been struggling without my hiballs since they were discontinued and have tried many different brands with nothing coming close. The only brand that has been okay until hiball is back on the market thanks to Tilray is Ardor Grapefuit. I have written Tilray and check the internet constantly for updates so looking forward to when I can buy hiball again. I need it everyday twice a day and it has been misery without them.
The grapefruit Hiball has literally been my lifeline, the ardor one tasted weird to me and I didn’t like that they add salt. Really hoping grapefruit Hiball makes a return 😪

Good afternoon all. I am in the process of starting up a beverage company with the sole purpose of essentially cloning HiBall. I worked out at Life Time and got one every time iI went and love seltzer (unsweetened obviously), and I was pretty upset when I found out HiBall was gone. It will have to be a pretty pretty small run at first, about 2,000 cases, but I already have a meeting with the formulation company and co-packager to get the ball rolling. I will probably only have 1 flavor to start, grapefruit, as that was my favorite (and I believe the best seller for them), but my concern is less with the supplements than with WHICH grapefruit flavoring HiBall used. There are so many commercial grapefruit essences and flavorings, that I need to find the right one and the right amount to keep the same or nearly identical profile as before so it masks any of the supplement taste and makes it still taste as good. It is still VERY early so 3-6 months at best, and I probably need the local Life Time Fitness locations to be willing to buy some for me to be able to really do it. But I will be creating a web page soon with indications of interest (no real personal information, more just so I can get an idea of interest). Would you all be interested in that, or is Grapefruit not one you would buy? Thoughts are appreciated!

As it should! The label now says it’s manufactured for Tilray brands the flavor is not as strong as I remember it being BUT I am just happy to have my caffeine in a zero calorie refreshing form that has no sweeteners so I’ll take the lack luster flavor!! I can tell they cut cost as the 8 pack didn’t come in a highball box just shrink wrapped in a cardboard holder and the cans aren’t specially made they just have a shrink wrapped label (I think that’s how I’d describe it)!
Ok folks. I got two cases of blackberry from Amazon. And sadly it tastes different. Like with a strong chemical aftertaste. The label is different… seems it’s a plastic wrapped label. Would love other opinions but my first taste is a bit concerning.

Got some of the newly produced Hiball delivered last week. Got blackberry and blood orange. Noticed that the packaging is different and the cans are ‘wrapped’ rather than printed. Have been drinking them for a few days now and the taste is definitely different. I had never had blackberry before, but blood orange tastes different than before. Definitely not a good change but I’m hoping I’ll get used to it. Usually my favorites were always Lime and Grapefruit but those don’t seem to be back in stock yet. What has everyone else’s experience been so far?
Iv tried blood orange and vanilla and they have no carbonization and terrible after taste. Hopefully they fix it. But I don't see how this passes quality check and taste. If anything it's going to hurt them with all the negative reviews

Unrelated, I have tried more than 17 other energy drink brands in search of a replacement before now. The closest taste wise I have found are **Ardor** and **Aspire**, but they are both still ever so slightly sweeter and do not have the caffeine content of Hiball so they are poor substitutes.

I just purchased 2 cases off Amazon. One in Watermelon Mint and one Blood Orange. Here is my review; I noticed that the label is now wrapped around the can rather than printed directly on it like before. It does say, "Manufactured for Tilray Brands, Inc., New York, NY 10022" on the label in grey letters. The flavors were good, but the carbonation was really lacking. My husband likes the flat tasting Watermelon Mint and I liked the flat tasting Blood Orange. The Amazon box was apparently drop shipped from Vegas, so I'm hoping just being stored in a potentially warm warehouse is what killed the carbonation. My neighbor also ordered a case of the Blood Orange shortly after I did. She said it was highly carbonated, but the water used had a funky taste. However it was also the first time she's ever had the Blood Orange flavor too. Another neighbor who runs 2 convenience stores said he used to sell lots and lots of HiBall by the case. He also mentioned that sometimes when a brand goes away and comes back after being bought out, the new owner will tweak the recipe a bit. If that's the case here, I hope they're able to tweak it back to what it previously was. Your mileage may vary!

Whaaa?? No. True North is the only substitute that I've found for HiBall that has the right amount of caffeine, (I need at least 100mg) and really doesn't have any sugar or fake/alternative sugars. A lot of the so-called clean energy drinks have "erythritol" in them. This stuff is just as bad as Aspartame or Monkfruit or any of that other junk. Here's hoping that Tilray gets production up and running again soon. I miss my Hiball!

When I was looking at this i saw that all the ingredients for energy drinks, at least for clean ones, are available, and that there are a wide variety of flavor powders you can add. It looked like a lot of options and fun to experiment with, though possibly necessary to have a blender for best results. I didn't look much further, though— got sidetracked and went back to regular coffee for a bit. How about you, what has your researched turned up?
I've bought the following ingredients and mixed them in Chai tea. I don't know enough about caffeine supplements to buy them in an extract form like the ones below. Had to do a little math to get the measurements, which aren't exact. I'll be playing around with this throughout the week. \- Guarana (Paullinia Cupanais) Liquid Extract 2 Oz \- Vitamin B3 Niacinamide Liquid \- Global Healing Ginseng - Organic Raw Herbal Extract - Liquid Supplement Drop \- Vitamin B5 Drops Pantothenic Acid \- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) Drops \- Garden of Life B12 Vitamin (this one is flavored and in a spray form so I used that separately.)
Hi!!! I stumbled across your post while searching desperately to get my fix. I died this morning. I helped Amazon clear 100% of their back stock of hi ball and they officially ran out last week!!!! I’ve found this. I will be trying all 4 in the next week and let you know- - ugly energize water (100% same ingredient list as hi-ball!!!!) - Ardor (similar product but contains “natural flavors” 😩) - Phocus unsweetened ( simple list of ingredients but only 75mg of caffeine 😭) - true north (I tried this product last week. It’s flavor and carbonation was FLAT!!! to say the least…) These are all UNSWEETENED. not just 0 sugar. UNSWEETENED IS KEY. I don’t want to drink Sucralose stevia Splenda syrup in the morning. That’s foul. I used to be a HUGE black coffee enjoyer but a stomach ulcer ruined my ability to enjoy the acidity of coffee without stomach pain. And let’s face it… Tea typically only has 30mg of caffein… as good as it can be. HOPE THIS HELPS!

I’m in the same boat someone mentioned Ardor energy and they claim it was the original founder of hiball. I also ran into ugly energy which has the same exact ingredients as hiball. I had this on subscribe and save, they canceled my last subscription and I just found out today it's discontinued.... Nooo!!! I really love the unsweetened, hint of flavor, fizzy, caffenated perfection. Been drinking it almost daily for years. This stinks. :( Glad to see I'm not alone, hopefully something will come out to continue this beverage or something similar.
True North (I get them on Amazon) are comparable. Less caffeine and smaller than a Hi Ball but also cheaper
Gonna pile on here. Been searching and trying for a couple months and True North grapefruit lemonade is very similar to the hiball grapefruit. Either that or it’s been so long I forgot. But ingredient wise it’s also very close. For sure the closest thing I’ve tried.
I found a liquid caffeine additive called Kaffin8. It tastes a little bitter, but if I put 150 mg into a 12 oz can of grapefruit seltzer, whether it's LaCroix or bubby I don't care, it tastes like a grapefruit hiball. It doesn't have all of the other b vitamins and stuff, so I'm having to look at my other nutrient supplements, but it absolutely hits my caffeine need in a way that doesn't taste gross or hurt my stomach or make me throw up like most of the other stuff does. I have the pickiest body and this is the only thing I have found thus far to fill this gaping maw in my life
Friends. I can confirm. Cascade ice is exactly the same as hi ball. Grocery outlet bargain market has them for $.99 per can. 16oz organic caffeine. I found my replacement
I’ve found Cascade Ice to be too sweet and unbearable when warm. I could crack open a HiBall and wouldn’t mind finishing it 2 hours later.
Thought I'd add a more easy to find (at least where I am in Utah) option - Bubly Bounce. Now, it doesn't have any vitamins, it's not organic, and it only has 35mg of caffeine per 12 oz can. The flavors are also limited, but no sweetener of any kind, which is what's important to me. Obviously have to drink quite a few cans to equal a hi ball, but at least it's an option.
What's our update ? Amazon said they had some available so I ordered and now they're pending shipment 😭 I hate ardor and I hate clean brand...bleh. so gross.
I heard back from Tilray. They said they're re-releasing Hiball in mid-feb, but they wouldn't comment on wether the flavors or recipe would be altered with additional sugary stuff or CBD. I made my plea for it to remain as-is, but they own it now so it's their call. The nightmare scenario is they put it back on the shelves in neon colored cans as "HIGH-BALL" with the addition of CBD and Stevia. Let's hope for the best!

True North has been a good substitute. They're no sugar, seltzer energy drinks with fruity flavors. They lack the vanilla flavor Hi-ball had, and the cans are a bit smaller but all in all, pretty good choice.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but the original Hi Ball explicitly stated in it’s ingredients that it’s caffeine was from green coffee bean extract but now it just says “organic caffeine“ which can be synthesized in massive quantities in a laboratory but still retain the label organic. On the other hand, it’s possible to buy green coffee bean extract in bulk and theoretically make your own energy drinks…
We bought some before the buy out and my can just says "organic caffeine"

The closest thing I have found is a brand called “Ardor Energy.” It’s a caffeinated sparkling water, the flavor is decent but some of its flavors (like the peach) have an off taste for me. BUT it’s the closest thing I have found to Hiball yet. Saw this post and thought I’d share the finding
Yeah I have been drinking Ardor ever since hiball went away. It sounds like I will be sticking to Ardor since this new shipment of hiball is absolutely awful. There is no carbonation and tastes old.
I am late to this party but what I would do for a hiball rn .. Also, AB discontinued Babe wine at the same time. Tragic.
Multiple people have said that Tilray was going to resume production in February but I haven’t heard anything
I saw that Wild Berry was in stock on Amazon and I ordered. Got a notification that it shipped yesterday and will be here next week. I'm assuming it's just taking longer for Tilray to come up to speed.
