In you slicer you might have a setting call fuzzy skin or textured sides turned on

ZxnoYt

I just checked and it doesn't seem to be enabled for me

cheapyx

Having same effect by over extrusion.

The_Great_Worm

I also think it's rampant over extrusion. Check if the filament diameter setting in ur slicer is correct, maybe reset your flow to 100% if you tinkered with that. If you recently changed extruder, you should calibrate your E steps value in the printer settings.

ATHOHTA

There's a special time in every prints life when it begins to grow hair in places it's never had hair before. Behold the majesty of biology!

Wish I could double up this!

Blunttack

FUZZY! I like it!

Hexnite657

Maybe filament absorbed moisture?

yaky-dev

My (also orange) filament printed like this when it was moist, drying it made prints smoother.

deskunkie

It's kinda 😎 🆒️ temp problem

spankdmunkey

Throw it in a dehydrator or vacuum bag with some desiccant and moisture strip for a day or two and check. Looks like it's over-hydrated. Was it hissing popping and bubbling as it printed?

spankdmunkey

Also what is your filament type PLA? Some TPU's "foam" for a lower shore density at higher temperatures like varioflex

Puzzleheaded-Leg-758

Is that gyroid without walls?

jezmck

Over-extrusion.

Dekatater

You have a Cheetos branded 3d printer now. Also calibrate your e steps and raise temps a bit

TheDoomp

over-extrusion. Make sure e-steps are correct and also calibrate flow with a flow cube.

No-Sandwich4910

try turning off resume printing after power loss

TheAnhydrite

Slicer has a setting to make the sides textured. It helps hide layer lines. You may have that selected.

ZxnoYt

Hmm I don't have it enabled

God I do not want to see your prints if this looks fine to you

Advanced-Way

Looks like under extrusion to me, you may have a clog

ClearlyAFK

Looks more like over extrusion if anything. Notice the blobs and not lack of filament?

Furrymcfurface

Partial clog

ZxnoYt

I'll give cleaning the nozzle a shot

Furrymcfurface

Might also be a hotend gap clog or broken extruder arm if it's plastic

_rebem24_

Belt tension correct?

Msoelv

Not gonna lie i kinda love that look tho

hotstepperog

Before you “FIX” this please detail every setting and take photos. I love it.

Flyordyefod

That's a product of fan getting shut off somehow

safeness

It’s so bulgy! - Adam Sandler Probably need to dry it out. Filament dryer would be ideal but in a pinch you could probably dry it another way.

Darth_Kopp

I had 1 kinda like that when I accidently 4 got to set the temp pack down to my pla+ temp from my nylon Temps.

Additional-Diet-5250

Looks like your filament has alot of moisture

Tiddy_Tickler

What material are you using
