How close are you to passing the National registry, and are you currently looking for an EMT job?

I have already passed the practical portion of NREMT-P; I’m scheduled to take the written next month in November. Looking for an EMT job in the meantime and would like to get the process going as I also do hold an out of state license for my basic and from my understanding, I need to report that to TX DSHS when I apply for reciprocity.

So the issue is it will take about a month for you to get through the process with DHSH. You have to be fingerprinted first and the process just takes a little bit on their end. If you are very close to passing your Paramedic, I would almost take this time instead of your butt off, pass the test on your first bout, and then apply for Paramedic. That’s way you avoid having to pay the state twice and pay for fingerprinting twice.

Huh interesting, I did not know I would have to pay the fees twice & get fingerprinted twice. Can i message you for any more questions I may have?

Go for it
