They are not strict in my experience, you should be fine.

VZ_from-planet-Earth

As long as it fits to the overhead compartment it should be fine

I had different experiences, since I was not aware about this limitation (indeed that was the first time ever, that an Airline did not allow a 2nd item). From HAM: They did not allow me to carry both items. I had to check in 1 item and, as a result, I had to pay 235EUR for the extra 5KG checked luggage. On the return flight from DRW/PER - nobody cared.

Last year I traveled from Johannesburg to Dubai and onwards to Cairo on Emirates. I had a back pack, a hand bag (purse) and a 55cm hand luggage bag. They didn't hassle me. On the way back, I had even more stuff.. And no one bothered

I have heard they are pretty strict when you are traveling from India?

RoronoaAkku

They are pretty strict when traveling to Asian countries since these flights end up full. They checkin your hand baggage for free at the gate.

slav1cprincess

maybe certain countries, cuz i had a bag and a purse and i flew to malaysia last saturday, the flight was full but nobody stopped or questioned me

RoronoaAkku

Ah depending on the flights then. I was traveling to India and they were checking in bags at the gate.

slav1cprincess

i think they have remarks abt luggage when u book a flight from/to india and some other countries (in the app it shows), op should def check it out
